Fer de Lance

The Fer-de-Lance (common shortcut FDL) is a medium size combat ship. Early models were built by Zorgon Peterson, but more recently, limited numbers have been upgraded by Saud Kruger in a rare collaboration, resulting in even more lavish creations, without spoiling the original design and specification requirements. The biggest advantages of this ship are strong shields, speed, good manoeuvrability and possibility arm one huge sized weapon (+ four medium), which are otherwise restricted only to big size ships. Disadvantages are tiny fuel tank, poor jump range (can be upgraded with engineers) and small number of internal compartments. FDL can really shine in combat situations, for most of other activities have only limited use.
