    Players complain about trading for months, then ofc we have to agree that containers trading ruin RP which is so logical, then u lower this container profit instead to turn it off, but again u do that without real solution for trading instead this...ridiculous, isn't it?
    So, nobody ever said that we don't need trading at all.Ppl like to trade, and i am one of them.


    OP, kick this weird trade restrictions from game and stop listen to ppl who don't play damned game, those ppl advised you in a wrong way because they mostly care about their role play.And this is nothing new for me.
    I think it is about time to stop this way and to use simple logic.I know you can do that, and you don't need any false help.Just use ur brain cells and think about whole picture.

  • Well Bond, you are who voted to remove them, as you said, and it happened. So I don't think this thread is made against removing the pods. You have a second reason for it, to have other legal routes, which you shown in your post quoting Abras, other legal routes like the old prisoners one. But to make it clear you could've started with that... the one that matters (OP) don't really have time to read several posts to get the real meaning of things.

    And, requests could've been done privately. Unless they get ignored, no reason to make a public thread where everyone can post and vote/flame, including those players you mentioned who don't play the game but ruin things with their votes.

    If someone might oversee that we have millions of possible trades - with a great variety each day - tell me how you want to make adjustments to it that easily. Container runs have been a problem. It was - lets say abused - and people earned tons of tons of money. It was adjusted so they now can earn just tons of money.


    Balancing the market would - whenever we deem to make another adjustment - another 6 months. Besides the fact that not only the time we would need to do this adjustments is not available - its its technically not the easiest tasks to fulfill.


    Sometimes its easier to adapt to the changes made. You coppers are just not intended to earn your money with trading. If you want - get a smuggler license.
    If not then hm play the game - do something else than trading. I am sure there is enough to do (e. g. hold events, start to involve yourself in ASF/CSF, help new players). If you still dont know what to do - think about some stories that can be written on the forum, your blog or something else.
    But please safe us the time to talk about things that are currently not part of any further adjustments. We at earliest can think of further adjustments with the next version - what nevertheless would delay and release any more. I am sorry - but time and efforts to do something for the mod are limited!

  • I was out for the past near two weeks because of school work. I never saw this coming.... Couldn't there be a way to make the smugglers earn more profits than normal people instead of us getting less? Just a question

    There are 3 smuggler routes I know of that are profitable and "train" friendly. The stations are also not on the tradelanes so its fairly easy to sneak in, get your cargo and make it to your destination using a combinatin of jumpholes and gates.

    Yesterday, full profit of Alien Organisms (2048 credits). 10 mintues to load in Telosis ("on foot" via train turrets), 5-10 minutes trip to sell in Daedalus. 5 million profit. 15-20 M per hour, in theory.

    So as long as we say nice things about this mod then ppl like you or Griffin wont delete them.
    So freedom of speech is not right on a FORUM such as this.

    In my last post i meant, more ships, more missions, more systems.
    Most of that we got, but the other stuff was making it impossible to do TRADE, MINING, etc..etc

    You are pleased to tell your opinion - but criticism is just a bit more than telling something is wrong. Its a bit more than badmouthing about current situations.
    Trading for sure did change. For a variety of reasons. And OP just mentioned - even if he would like to change it. Its currently not possible. And it will not be like CF1.82 has been.
    Considering the workload that is necessary to kinda balance something like the market - its something we currently cannot afford.


    Do I assume right that you just don't know profitable routes - hence your complaints?


    Additionally to this - your critic about someone else's English is also not wise. Forlon is for sure no native English speaker but he tries and that is worth enough in my eyes.
    At least he understands some facts - others, well speaking English ppl. seems not to understand ;)


    Just accept that we cant change the trading system currently and not in the near future. We all have to adapt our style to make the best out of this situation.
    And if you feel you abilities are enough to edit some files, than you may enter the Dev. team and spend your whole spare time to figure out how the trading can be balanced. Now who wants to volunteer?

    "not even enough time to do the other modding work"
    "countless players with tons of accounts and chars full of money on the server"


    so with other words... you do not seem to be interested in what I say... and no matter how many additional reasons i would bring up you wouldnt accept them as they dont satisfy you
    guess what... there are also many things that dont satisfy me
    - lack of support
    - inability to listen
    - conflicts between players
    - me sitting alone on the chat room last saturday, hoping that somebody would appear to the meeting

    but be warned... based on the amount of commodities and the amount of stations and the fact that we using a dynamic economy there are 12.303.200 possible trade routes that you will have to balance by hand (this is btw. the exact number)

    But i am not the only one who has said this.
    And as regards to modding myself, you're out of luck, wish i could m8.
