If you are looking for good ship with high hull and agility, a decent nanos and bots, nice cargo hold... i think you better try the F-190 Malice ... you wont regret having it... i even have it for pvp too...

Malice may be rly good choice, had once chance fight against it and it was not easy. It could be good ideas try things one.
Well i think its safe to say there is no general consensus on the "best" ship in the game, which speaks wonders for balancing, except maybe boost ships with one or no torpedoes a bit 
It seems like i will have to go off and give all your suggestions a try and see what works for me, theres about, 19 ships to pick from that have 2+Ts so it may take a while 
I think ideally it will have a hull of 10k+ and a decent sized cargo. I can fill up the hold of my titan in a matter of minutes. Although i probably wouldn't consider taking one due to the difficulty of logistics, are Battleships / Dreadnoughts an option for the Crossfire campaign or are there places that need to be docked with that cant be by a battleship?

.. larger ships are not for campaign, only fighters can dock on some places where is campaign going.

i have used the chimera for a long time and found it one of the best in a heavy fight, well fitted out and two sunslayers who needs missiles, i have used a technique for many years, and just saw a training video on it. where i gun first for damage and break of and come at the enemy from different positionand fire the torps , the closer the formation of enemy the more damage then break again coming in from behind and clean up

I understand the popularity of the Chimera and Saracen. I've flown the latter but not (yet) the former.
I'm curious, though, why there sees to be no love for the Eliminator.
Is it unsuited to PvP, or something? It seems ideal in many ways...am I missing something?
I've just started with CF 2.0, and am replaying the original SP storyline from the beginning, so it will be a while before I have enough cash, but is there any reason why I should choose the Chimera over the Eliminator, when I'm able to afford either? Note that even for podding, I prefer a reasonably large cargo hold.
2.0 is looking and behaving great, BTW...kudos to all the devs!

I wouldn't be so quick to compare ships from CF 1.9 with CF 2.0, as "everything" is changed. At least my ships do not behave the same way at all. I am sure others have the same experience.
BUT the configuration of the server hasn't finished yet, so things might change.
Ex. when hunting NPC's last night, same NPC's went from superhard (NPC's lagged, hard to hit) to ultra easy (two shot kills).
I wouldn't be surprized, if we have to rediscover most stuff again (and now isn't the best time to compare anything)
