Hello GodEatGod,
when comparing profit from trading vs podding, it is only worth getting a Soulforge train or Mining ship for trading (1st has the biggest cargo of all, 2nd is the most capacious ship that still doesn't have transports' docking limitations), but for the pleasure of flying you can of course buy a regular transport, just the profits won't be so great. In either case, it's better to create a separate char and make its reputation neutral with all factions before getting a cargo ship.

or try Armored transport .. is rly not bad
-
Ty for a fast reply but i think i will buy the transport because it got more cargo than the armored transport and it's cheaper and for me now cargo space is the most immportant thing
I've found a trade route where i get 275k credits in 5min, so is that a good trade route or i should change it?
-
Armored Transport ... hmmm ... it took me infinite time to dock ... keep circling the base ... hehehe ... SOLD it already ...
-
275k in 5min is considered low btw ...
3.3 mill in 5 min ... interested ...???

Hi,
It shouldn't be an either or decision. Do what you like since you can have multiple chars!
Sometimes I feel like podding, sometimes cleaning up X-3034 from CSF, sometimes just trading and being easy. For transports:
Note that the docking issue is really decisive. The docking possibilities for bigger transports are limited.
Smaller transports can dock everywhere ( and are not limited to mooring fixtures ). With this you can have more sophisticated trade routes with also nice profit. Also affilitation is a point. For a transport or train imho being neutral to everyone is key, for a more agile one for sure also but not a must ( can be fun if not ).Recently e.g. on Planet Aventin ( Vega ) there where Alien Organisms for 125 $ and could be sold on Planet Crossfire for 2700 $. Only problem : There is no mooring fixture on Planet Crossfire, so if you want to use this trade route, you have to do it with a smaller vessel like Humpback.

So what trade route should i do and with what ship, give me some examples

Find out on your own, thats the game!
As I think Martind mentioned recently, these information are very valuable and kept secret in e.g.clans.
-
You are right when it comes to trade routes, it's more fun finding them out by myself but i got a question when it comes to podding, should i buy a really good ship and only kill liberty rouges or there is a better way?
-
Blood Dragons podding gives a big profit/difficulty ratio (Lt. pods and relatively weak guns). Though you should note that Blood Dragons and their certain allies sell some notable pieces of equipment.
Outcasts and Corsairs also drop Lt. pods around their base systems.
Hunting Rheinland Battleships in Omicron Minor used to be a trend, but it's a murder on your reputation. -
Okey ty for the infos

Podding also another side: There are plenty of missions to kill ships which give you pods but also money on top.
For this Oasis and Sea of Shadows are interesting ( with good ship for sure) if you are interested on the lawful side. For beginning for sure any main planet. For unlawful side go for their bases ( see Factions --> Criminal in Wiki). Daedalus System comes to my mind for the endgame and for the beginning New York ( twice!), Frankfurt and Dresden. Colorado I would not recommend, everyone hates the Xenos
PS: Since podding implies killing ships, reputation is key. You need to know what you want to do and what to be!
PPS: For podding a nice ship with good weapons and cargo hold > 100 comes handy -
Trading if done only with in-game possibilities need character which have visited many (all is ofc better ) bases and this character is used for store commodities. Then you can find daily trades when do check these commodities. ... but the real success with trading can be done with cooperation with others. Use train+freighter can give ways more profit if used properly.

And don't hesitate to ask people in game about trade routes; clan members may have some info to share with you, or offer you a co-op trade
