Summary.
Basilisk is a Coalition-made very heavy fighter.Description.
Basilisk once was a prototype fighter used by Coalition Black Guard ace fighter squadron during Alliance-Coalition war. It was one of the first human spacecrafts that mounted a cloaking device, and these ships were the ones that started the war.
After the war, along with other Coalition fighters, design of Basilisk survived Coalition Exile. Armed on the same pattern other Coalition ships had, Basilisk was heavier and better armored, surpassed only by Kossac. Low agility and big top profile was compensated, along with flat frontal profile, by big space for nanobots and shield batteries Basilisk offered.Advices.
130/130 of bats/bots, and big amount of armor - that's what can say that Basilisk is not suited for PvP. Ship's agility is just awful, and that's what makes it unpopular amongst pilots.
Relatively small cargo bay doesn't makes Basilisk a podder either, as there are more agile fighters with more cargo.
Failing hardly in PvP and doing not so great in podding, Basilisk has found its place in Inner Core. Albeit it is harder to fly a heavier ship, if mastered, Basilisk can do decently even in dangerous situations, and stash of batteries and nanobots can become in handy if any pilot from group is running out of reloaders. If agility doesn't matter for you, you can install Armor Class 10 to be able to "tank" more damage.

Hello,
maybe these maps come handy (originally captured in CF 1.82 but still valid for Sirius sector). They have a high resolution but comparatively small fonts.index.php?page=Thread&postID=285494#post285494
P.S. Some storage depots may be missing.

Crossfire Sectors & Systems Article under construction - "Interactive maps" ... moving mouse over systems position shows system maps and click open article in Lexicon (in new window). Check liberty systems and factions areas on map bottom for Sirius map
Took some time found proper coding but further work will go much smoother.

So, redoing a public version of the CFDB ?
No, there are big differences even now and wiki is only partly finished. Clan DB is more compact, faster for use and offers logistical support for members who may be more effective (RP). Wiki offers much more detailed information overall about Crossfire mod, should be more representative to attract players attention and help them to start on CF much smoother way. Also system on which is wiki build is very different (imo) as CFDB, offer in some aspects much more and in some less ... I'm trying use strong sides and bind two different systems which "wiki" use into one working unit.
I'm often in space asked about different things, before it needed alot time and in more cases I wasn't able properly explain some things as I wanted (especially to ppl which use only basic english). Now I simply point players to wiki where they can find most of things which they are searching.
Edit byWhat is needed to finish wiki faster: easy, are needed ppl which help with taking actual screenshots from game, which can write at least basic code for each system with system map, which check grammar on existing stuff and do "repairs" and ppl which will edit existing entries and add links to bind articles more.Edit byEDIT2
