  • it was a nice event again. we started with 10 ships from Gorlovka carrier in Sovetskaya. Fox came later from Sirius. unfortunately we didn't see any motherships.

  • Expedition results

    Objectives Accomplishment

    • deploy automated Construction Machinery and orbiting satellites at Planet Balboa - done 100%
    • defend Coalition Storage Depot for 30 minutes (killing all intruding Dom'Kavash ships), to confirm that the equipment at Planet Balboa is operational and Storage Depots are intact - done 100%
    • gather materials from surrounding asteroids and bring samples to IOC in New Hongkong system, Altair sector. - done last time. We are still analyzing the samples.

    Mission Summary
Hundreds of Dom'Kavash ships was destroyed and sadly no Motherships appeared. A pilot noticed that he had killed 200+ of the Dom'Kavash ships :S
Intelligence suggest that Dom'Kavash was warned in advance of this mighty incoming fleet - do we have a spy amongst us!? ?(

    Comments and Conclusions
Really nice action here  and it was a lot of FUN.
The final success was largely due to participating pilots skills, effort and persistance.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined the operation:

Inner Core Expedition for Investigation of Gunboats

    Introduction

In the framework of IOC™ research program on alien spacecraft design, a problem has arisen: one vessel type, identified as "gunboat", is for an unknown reason no longer found in any of the systems under surveillance. The aim of this expedition is to try and detect gunboats, either through direct contact or by additional means of research, namely
    - scanning all alien ships to check if their parameters match those of gunboats,
    - destroying alien ships to see if gunboats (or whatever else) could be hiding inside,
    - searching several systems simultaneously to prevent gunboats from fleeing.

    Expedition Details

The plan suggests that only fighter ships can take part. Starting from GMG Hypergate in Omega-3, the participants will visit Inner Core, Venn, Jormdar, Celldra and Sadurn systems (preferably in separate groups), then meet up in Mepther and proceed to Weth. In each system, at least one alien ship of each type should be scanned and photographed, and and at least one destroyed. The layout of star systems under investigation is presented on the map below.

All participants will receive a financial reward for their contribution to IOC™ research program.

  • Official Expedition Report

The requested investigation has been succesfully carried out in all systems specified by IOC research program. To achieve simultaneous search and to block possible ways of retreat, 3 groups were formed to take individual routes and cover all connections between systems:

    .[/contentbox]

At some point during the mission it was decided to ingnore motherships and cruisers, since killing a few such ships and analyzing their internals showed that they contained no cavities of appropriate size for a gunboat to fit in. Alien ships of all other types were scanned, photographed, examined inside and additionally checked for optical concealment systems such as cloaking devices and holoprojectors. Despite intensive use of all available means of research, neither gunboats themselves nor any unambiguous signs of their presence were found during this expedition.

IOC scientific authorities who analyzed mission recordings marked that along with outstanding combat skills every participant showed exceptional patience and devotion to the common cause, which is very important for this kind of activity. Therefore an increased reward of 50 million credits has been assigned to all pilots who joined the operation:

  • It was fun :)

  • "Even if planning was done thoroughly, there are unforeseeable twists of reality that can hinder the dedicated - as happened also to this mission in the beginning"

"But this dedication and the technical support of GMG - special thanks to the precise work of the Ion Cannon gunnery teams - let the first group of pilots safely arrive at the first meeting point."

Inner Core Expedition for Investigation of Savage Ships (codename ICEISS)

    Friday April 17 2015, 20:00 servertime

    Introduction

In the framework of IOC™ research program on aliens, the aim of this expedition is to detect Savage race technology, either through direct contact or by additional means of research, namely

    • scanning all Savage ships
    • destroying Savage ships and tractor loot to see if any technology secrets is revealed
    • IOC ships will use special IOC™ research scanners and subspace communications to IOC™ research labs

    Expedition Details

The plan suggests that each wing consists of 1 Dreadnought, 1 Repair Ship, 3 Very Heavy Fighters - Bombers are welcome. Everybody is welcome to join in!
Starting from Bengbu Processing Facility in New Hongkong (free drinks in the Bar), the participants will visit Inner Core, Venn, Jormdar, Celldra and Sadurn systems, then meet up in Mepther and proceed to Weth.
Expect heavy fire from Tachyon weapons (choose your shield wise)!

    Sector and system maps:

    Additional Remarks

    • bringing ammo supplies is highly recommended, food and drinks would be good too :)
    • at least one repair ship is needed (25-million reward applies)
    • cargo delivery to Sirius can be organized IOC™ Hardware Exchange program

All participants will receive a financial reward for their contribution to IOC™ research program, on arrival to Weth system.
Sign up here, if you are interested. Please note which ship you plan to use in comments.

In the framework of IOC™ research program on aliens, the aim of this expedition is to detect Savage race technology:

    • scanning all Savage ships - accomplished
    • destroying Savage ships and tractor loot to see if any technology secrets is revealed - Our IOC™ research scanners recorded perfect. Thanks to the research guys.
    • IOC ships will use special IOC™ research scanners and subspace communications to IOC™ research labs - Major communication problems (reason unknown atm.) as we couldn't recieve any signals IOC™ research labs. It was later confirmed that all communications from Expedition was received at IOC™ research labs in New Hongkong. We are still analyzing the these materials.

  • IOC™ Nomad Weapons Research Expedition

Recent reports indicate that Nomads have developed new advanced weapon technology for use on their capital ships. IOC scout vessel sent for investigation has gone missing, as well as the whole search-and-recue team sent afterwards. In both cases there were reports of major Nomad fleets before contact was lost.

For this reason, we are gathering a large armed expedition to Unknown systems in Sirius.

    Objectives:
    - destroy 5 Nomad Strike Carriers in each Unknown system
    - locate the missing IOC scout ship and the remains of IOC search team, if possible

    Rewards:
    - 5 mill to each fighter ship pilot
    - 15 mill to each capital ship pilot
    - 25 mill to each Repair ship pilot

    Time and date:
Thursday July 7th 3016, 21:00 SST (Standard Sirius Time)

    Starting location:
Omicron Alpha jumphole in Pink Unknown
