We could say there are several GRs online and active (nto sure if you count them as server police)... but what's needed in your case is SP with proper rights and proper information about penalties and RP situations, who is fighting with who, or who has contract on who, else some 'spectator' in a system with a battle in it, could leave at his will, and SP could think he is fleeing the RP/battle.

I like your No 1. idea, even New York, Arena and event places should be an exception of that

Roleplaying is dead. And even people don't want to participate in it. Anytime I try to tax, I'm declared as a shitface idiot who is just here to make ppl sad and such....
I am unfair because I shoot down the ones who are trying to get away. And anytime I am in my battleship I am a coward (even this is pathetic cuz you can easily dodge a bship, still I can kill ppl with it). Anyway I don't really care now to make correct RP, I'll shoot down anybody ANYWHERE (ok only above lvl50). Sometimes I won't even ask for tax.
Restricting the system chat is pure bullshit. Do you want this server to be "un-socialized" ? It is the ppl you want to change, not the server itself.

Keli, hope the ones who say that are not clanmembers or, older freelancers, who know the rules well. Anyways you may report that behaviour to a GR online, if it seems needed, or put that player on ignore !

@Shock, cops can't do their jobs if pirates don't tax, mercs try to put their own rules (to not be fined), and not many call a cop if there is some tax or RP chance

The way I see it, most older freelancers and clan members do understand and imply RP. It's the new people who haven't read the server rules yet. It seems like someone needs to be around to educate them or force them to read the server rules, cause where I'm standing, the people I fly with get RP very well. *coughabrasdevilcough*

For the system channel: Yes! But because of RP Reasons, - realy funny to see ppl talking in RP and good for the evening Gamplay without stress but lols.

For the Punishments:

1) If you control it and it works - the ones controlling it will suffer - so it will simply not work.
2) if you control it and its not working - stress, anger, many postings without sence - and so on.

but their is a solution:

1. Read the already written Rules.
2. Follow them word by word.
3. Do not even think that you can interpret them not a letter of them and especialy not for RPs you never did.
4. Don´t start to explain things to ppl which you don´t proper understand yourself.
5. Do not discuss, shoot first if neccessary.
6. Use the /ignore function more often for your own freedom.
7. Play the Game at the Server!

Dear Bond, who thinks he is the messiah here, talking to other people is not BULLSHIT, socializing is not bullshit. Just start banning ppl for talking and see where you get to.

As one that is fairly new to Crossfire, I am not new to Gaming as a whole. The biggest problem that I see is that people do not talk here as a whole they are not personable and I believe that is one reason that we do not keep new players involved in the game. Players need to feel that they can become a part of the Crossfire Universe and just because someone in level 40 or 50 or even 60 doesn’t mean that player isn't new to this game. They do need to be taught the rules or at least force to read them. Make it a mandatory part of joining the game the very first time if you have to.

But also there needs to be more conversation by the older members of this game it wasn't till I joined a clan before ANY of the older members even spoke to me in game and even now it is seldom done and I promise I don't have bad breath so anything like that either (a joke, LOL) But for roleplay to be a part of this game it needs to start in at least conversation with newer players, getting to know them, teaching them, the willingness to answer their questions. To me this game has the potential to be the best game around but only we as players can make it so.

And also to all you pirates out there, it is not TAXES that you collect it is a TARIFF paid in allowance to pass through your space. If you are not in YOUR space then it is EXTORTION paid to allow a player to pass by you. Just as a clarification.

bounty on a train... uhhh unmoral. U attacked me whithout warning "guess what a merc dont need to warn a prey when chasing a bounty" we do it for cortesy.

My missiles dont track... i have to leave goodbye... you are jumping.. u make my ping higher... U have no honor killing me with a BS etc.

Why does pirates listen to what people say... Your rp is simple u dont pay tax u die... u see a cop u can engage him since they are your enemies. You are outnumbered hire a merc there are 2 merc clans active.
If people complain let them learn the rules and how to fight. When i start Cf i remenber running from cops averyday and paying taxes to smart pirates that catch me.

why dont pirates claim some trade routes and attack traders. They just need to see where people is gather
the duty of cops is protecting traders so they engage pirates (but police also have to hide since they also trade ilegal stuff) uhh dirty cops
mercs can be hired and chase bountys to kill police or pirates.
why ASF vs CSF stopped... we are half an year waiting for what? does something changed since we finished the last event ?
Why dont we create a ladder like clanbase.com to make a ranking like the best gunner fighting, best pvp, best BS fighting 2 vs 2 teams.
we can also iniciate an ideia already discussed here like conquering stations. we make an official warning and lets say the max 3 players per clan appear to reclaim the base.
and there are so many clans recruting... why dont teach your menbers how to pvp... just some opinions... Have fun m8s

RP rules are clear and there is never explained that someone is enforced to attack another one. So you cannot force a pirate to attack a copper and vice versa. The initial part of pirates is to demand money from their targets. First if they dont pay than they might die. Same applies for coppers. Their actual role is to enforce law and secure the environment. Both pirates and coppers are allowed to attack each other without any specific reason. But there is no force. So basically its up to everyones own mood to start rp or not. Trigger points for RP are often the confilcts between cops and pirates tho - mercs are just the third wheel - to either support the road or the vehicle^^

I think ASF CSF is not held because its too complicated in its current state. Its in the duty of the clan members to get the rolling stone - ahm the stone to start to role. Freelancer are not supposed to play ASF/CSF on their own!

There are so many clans recruiting? Huh that looks different somehow. And finally you can only teach players about fighting if you know how to fight yourself. As there seems to be no basic concept that is accessible by all players at the same time than i think something like this wont get real anytime soon. Long story short - the knowledge between the clans differs - especially for fighting. --> nevertheless not the topic here - but a probable reason for less RP too.

Implementing additional RP elements might work - but probable will drop as well if the interest cannot be kept alive and soon it will lack participation as well. Get the normal RP running and then we can think of addons.

Yes. Very easy to understand, what you mean.
1. RP is Out.
2. If RP coming back, (please read post up), we get very much Penaltis, talking about bad talking , insults, bans.. and LESS Players on the Server. But guys, this is very nice to see so many players, hmm?
3. We, Clans and Interessted Freelancers can play our RP in Back-Ground.
4. How to know, which FL is in RP, but which not? Little Rule for FLs in RP: Sign / Mark in Name like a [X] Pirate, [T] Trader.. and.. and.
