Coming from Sol, pilots enter the system through the Luyten jump hole guarded by three Ion Cannons, located in sector B8. Arles Station, a Notre Dame Class station, is the first port of call for visitors to the Renaissance region, located in sector D7, it has La Royale storage depots within easy reach of the station. Unfortunately traders, piloting the large Soulforge Train vessels, will have to travel on to either Burgundy or New Caledonia systems, before they can take a break from the long journey to the region, since there are no mooring facilities for these vessels at this station. The Brest Field, located mainly in C3 and surrounding sectors, is a large mineable asteroid field. The Renaissance runs multiple mining operations in this area. Silver is among the minerals extracted here. The wreck of the Tigre_ is located at the edge of this field, in sector C2, and in sector B3 La Royale have two storage depots. Further mining operations are carried out in the larger Calais Field to the east of the system, although attempts, by other prospectors to mine, so far have proved unsuccessful. To the north of this field, in sector F3, is the wreck of the Soleil, and to the south, three La Royale storage depots. The large Ardennes Cloud to the southwest of the system is rich in Alien Organisms, present on the surface of most asteroids. Pilots are told of its high background radiation levels and advised not to linger, as exposure time in open space should be kept to a minimum.
