(played by Ian Ziering)
Edison is the marquee character of Freelancer. He's brash at times with an overarching need to get ahead - to make that one big score. Edison has the classic markings of the anti-hero, but he still has a noble heart.
Dr. Kendra Sinclair (played by Cree Summer)
A Bretonian scientist but gutsier than the average pencil pusher, Kendra is driven by the pursuit of the truth but concerned with her lack of recognition in a male dominated discipline. She is smart and, when she needs to be, bold.
Jun'ko "Juni" Zane (played by Jennifer Hale)
A Kusari and Liberty mix, she's solid and forthright - no nonsense - Jun'ko arranges missions for flyers in Liberty. She's worked hard to get where she is and is ever concerned with detail and loyalty. She is all action as a skilled and cunning pilot.
Lord Hakkera (played by George Takei)
A nobleman and local leader of people, he has great responsibility via his class, complicated by his membership in "The Order".
Richard Winston Tobias (played by John Rhys-Davies)
A Bretonian equipment dealer, Richard apprenticed Trent when he found him some years prior. He is a warm and funny man, with a strong sense of loyalty and pride. He loves Trent like a son and was hurt when Trent left to seek his fortune in the Borderworlds.
Claus Botzler (played by Kenneth Mars)
Claus is a proud, fighting Rheinlander and leader of the Bundschuh Rebellion.

Ozu (played by Ryun Yu)
An officer in the Black Dragons, a Kusari Counter Political group, Ozu is an excellent lieutenant and fighter, whose intelligence network and sphere of influence is far-reaching. Composed, yet militant. |
Dr. Roland Quintane (played by Charles Shaunessy)
Not like the typical scientist, Roland is a man consumed with his studies but thanks to years of digging around the rougher, outlying area, he has a street-smart edge to him. |
Diedrich Von Clausen (Maurice LaMarche)
Diedrich is a Rheinland nobleman who is actually a mole for Lord Akiro (and "The Order"). He was undoubtedly raised with finery and social grace, but now thanks to his position, he has seen too much. |
Marcus Walker (played by Corey Burton)
The classic hero, Walker is the Captain of a large Liberty ship and proud of it. He is the polar opposite to Trent. |
Blix
The Psi part of a Psi-listener team in Rheinland, Blix is largely mute (when he opens his mouth only a mad tangle of hundreds of voices and tones comes out), but communicates with Jonner via telepathy. He is tied to the darker forces that run throughout the universe. |
Drake
Drake is a jar-headed, MP type, though he seems smarter than the rest, the way a natural born sniper stands out from a crowd of soldiers. He'd be headed for a career of greatness if he wasn't working for the wrong side. |
Diplomat Harrison
A step in the right direction towards rebuilding, Harrison's the first choice by the President of Liberty to blot out the Nomad corruption. |
President Barbara Jacobi
President Jacobi is smart and influential, the force behind Liberty's might. Not only is she a political powerhouse, she is also a practical and elegant dignitary; poised and reserved when the occasion calls for it. |
Jonner
Creepy, second half of a Psi-Listener team in Rheinland. |
Michael King
A good soldier and pilot with some mileage, Michael's the Wing Commander and an old standby for Jun'ko. He is an accomplished flyer but also a realist when it comes to his outlook on life. He's got a good bead on things. |
Sam Lonnigan
A money guy, Lonnigan is a resaler and makes cash on the legal and illegal sale of items. His life has been all about cash and he has grown fat and comfortable on his profits. |
Chancellor Florian Gustov Niemann
The Kaiser of Rheinland, Chancellor Niemann's people found a new planet and unleashed a power that made its initial strike on the seat of power of Rheinland. He used to be fair and even handed, but now as a Nomad host and the point of infection that is spreading to other dignitaries, he has become warlike and secretive - carrying out the Nomad objective. |
Secretary Arvin Reed
Reed is the prime betrayer of the President. He was infected by the Kaiser on a diplomatic mission and, once key people were turned, has delivered her to be converted. |
Syd Montague
A thief and probably one of the best thieves for hire there is, Syd's stealthy, prepared and cunning. He's a professional and behind the plot to steal the Artifact from Sinclair, but is overwhelmed by the opposition - quickly finding out that this is not a regular heist. |
Governor Tekagi
A corpulent, hedonist historically interested in peace. Governor Tekagi's attitude changes though after he becomes a Nomad Host from his exposure to the Kaiser. Now he is secretive, warlike and dangerous. |
Solomon Vance
A pilot for Sinclair and Quintaine. Solomon knows the ins and outs of the harder places to reach in the galaxy. |
Herman Van Pelt
A studier of astronomical anomalies in the Badlands of Liberty Space, Herman has a relationship with Jun'ko's parents and is very fatherly towards her. |
