  • Firstly I am looking forward to Freelancer CF 2.0. everything is looking amazing and send manty thanks to OP and the develepers
    I do have a Qestion which I am not sure has been answered yet.
    I am not on as much these days so I decieded to change all my char to fighter ships and get rid of my BS and Transport till 2.0 comes out.
    What I was wondering is with all the changes of ship skins and other ships in the game already will that be a prob if we own that ship at the time of it coming out and being activated. Or would it be a good idea to have a list of all the ships getting a new face lift and switching to another ship untill later.
    I will be saving cash and such till after to get a new BS and transporter, but will have everything ready till them.
    Was just wondering if its better to play on the safe side, as I had afew probes with going to 1.9 from 1.8 from equipment I had on my ships, item that could ne longer be used on fighters and afew Gens MKV vanishing.
    Only a question and not trying to cause any prob :)

    And to NPC, will there be battleship encounters of Outcasts and Corsairs in Alpha and Gamma? Because it is too hard to farm CSF battleships, and killing battleships in a X worlds is an unlawful way :)

    You should better join Top Squadron this sunday, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE GONNA PRACTICE! Actually more, to kill Fighters even under Capital Ship heavy fire... This is Off topic I know, just wanted to give info

    You should better join Top Squadron this sunday, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE GONNA PRACTICE! Actually more, to kill Fighters even under Capital Ship heavy fire... This is Off topic I know, just wanted to give info

  • This sunday. Key word: SUNDAY. Only one day a week, and when the event usually begins, I sleep. I think that would be better to have battleship patrols in Alpha and Gamma, because Outcasts and Corsairs have battleships for sale, but on some reason don't use them to defend even their home systems! And for player was able to farm them, like some of us farm Rhineland capships in Alaska.
    Anyway, farming outcasts in Alpha shall cause more profit and more dangers than Vega one.
    Another question: How about patrol maps for all crossfire systems?
    And name "Scimitar" (kind of sabre, if somebody asks) does not fits repair ship. "Scalpel" would be better, IMHO.

  • Think about it, maybe to use less Fuel! Or the Agility of the Ship... Like todays Airplanes... They don't just use Fuel, they also have those Venting things :) Or maybe it's to Cool down Weapon heat.

  • If you wanna "vent" something into and through it for i.e. cooling...there should BE something for venting.


    Remember ? Space = VACUUM
    (beside some dust and dirt partikles that would just BUST yout ship if it got hit with orbital velocity which is quite commonly found with spacedust and particles ^^ )


    And for my taste : it looks too much "air"plane like (but that's just me).

  • Just remove those vents on model and place torpedo/CD hardpoints inside. Like Coalition fighters, which have 2 T/CD hardpoints (compensating the lack of turret) :)

    Very Good IDEA! But yeah as you said, on another topic.



    Another Suggestion would be the other Fighters... Maybe give the Light Fighters a chance of Strike back? Maybe give the Light Fighters 2 Class 10 weapons and Heavy Fighters 3, so The VHF would have 4, my idea in this is for the Newbies. Maybe the Light Fighters having a LIL stronger hull. I want them to use first Light Fighters and slowly move up to Bigger ships... And maybe if it's possible Make the Crossfire systems (The ones out of Vanilla like, Altair, DK system, IC, Utopia, Crossfire System and Clan Systems) a lil Harder to Reach please! Cause it's too easy to move from New York (Where every newbie starts) to Custodian and X-3034... I think the ASF/CSF wouldn't be just a usual NPC, people would see them as a Rare ones if they could just Reach X-3034 a lil Harder... Maybe Altair and Inner Core are a lil Too Hard to Reach LoL but I think the X-3034 should not be able to Reached via New York, Custodian :| I think the Only system that disturbs is Custodian XD

  • There already are Light Fighters with 2 and 3 class 10 slots, Heavy Fighers up to 5 class 10 slots :D But just about 2-3 ships.

    I think SOL system in CF 1.9 is very quiet


    as you know that is OUR GALAXY !!! and GR galaxy too :D


    So it will be awesome if every planet have Every stations from every factions ( not all factions ):D


    and maybe sell unique weapon and ship for preparation to entering STYX system :D
