there is not much that can be checked about that
it works the same way everywhereAnd yet I'm telling you it's not the same everywhere. It's not directly a problem, it's just annoying that a ship doesn't behave the same everywhere ("overshooting" Dublin -> London gate, etc.)

the thing with the intertia values is that we dont know how the calculation is done
its a feature that digital anvil created but not released in the final game
all we can do is to turn this feature on or off and change its intensentyall nebulas use the same intensenty (also the one in tohoku -> i have just checked it)
I can only imagine that IF two nebulas overlap each other this setting gets and additive value
BUT.... in tohoku there is only one nebula so this can not be reason for this -

this problem is known
but we were not able yet to identify the reason for such crashes
huor discovered a problem with some coaltion ships which i could fix for the CF2.0 release but I doubt that this is the only problem here -
my best guess for the tohoku-nebula is (as OP already mentioned) that the asteroid field inside somehow overlap the inertia-settings for the nebula, nullifying its effect - cause if you stay outside the asteroid-field the inertia is active, but inside not - so there may be some trouble - which i dont know how to fix (im no modder in all respects
)

@ Shockwave
Just take it as regional differences of interstellar dust density in different system.
So different "friction" in different systems and accordingly different ships movement. As part of "realistics".
-
Realistics? In open space i stop from 450 to 0 in 2 - 2.5 seconds, but in nebula it takes 10 seconds and 2k drift away?
-
truely not realistic
but i can not say in which way the calculations for the physics look like
there is clearly a different behaviour with enabled engine killhaving the source code or any reference to this problematic would for sure help... but we dont have it
-
just to mention it:
the problem with the different ship behaviour was meanwhile identified
a fix for CF2.0 is already done ... a fix for CF1.9 will be done asap -
HA! brilliant and perfect - finally consistency! nice job!

Heavy series of crashes and now for me very slow files download on start via launcher. Connection to other places is still OK.
-
seems to stabilize again
can not find an obvious errordownload has not much to do with the CF server
-
again
.. this doesn't look as coincidence. Atm downloading server updates cca 5 minutes.
Edit byPing to server is normal (37-40 ms) -
but u dont get these updates from the cf server

but u dont get these updates from the cf server
hmm, ok ... but problem is on my side? ... I tried download files from my email (MB sizes) and it is all OKEdit byatm no updates found .. SP only -
Others have this problem too?
-
It works fine here
-
had similar probs today. ... on the same time schedule as martind.
(and during the same "event")
But atm it works as usual, again.

Armored Transport cargo ship
Will not dock with any station that has octagonal or round door [asteroid stations or mid-size 8 door stations]. The docking animation runs in an infinite loop [cannot use ESC to abort]. Seems to work on most stations that have a square door but sometimes not.

UPDATE: files download from launcher suddenly returned to normal. It looks working again for me.
