Ive configured and activated some additional anticheat stuff on the server. This appears to be running well atm.
M8 I don't think they are running so well as for some unknown reason I and some other people have been kicked from server and teleported on planet Pittsburg... I was doing some mapping to re-discover trade routes while it happened. This happened on both my VHF and my Train.
Being teleported to Pittsburg after getting kicked out from the server usually means you've been detected of Possibly Cheating. If you can re-create the situation you were in before getting kicked, and posting it either here or on the bug tracker, that would be great.

it means that its exactly working as intended and your installed files do not cover with those from the mod

Same here. First I get kicked for reason: contact admin, and when I log back in I find my ship back on planet Pittsburg. I installed the mod over a clean install of freelancer. So what could be wrong with my files? Or is it my system registry perhaps?
edit: this only started 2 or 3 days ago. Before, i could play online just fine.
look
i have done the anticheat settings... and tested every file on a clean and fresh installation
If you are getting kicked or moved to pitsburgh then your files different from whats clean
and such corrupt installations could also be the reason for server crashes (such as we experience lately)
Could be worth try download mod again (and assure that your AV software fully ignore CF files)
I'm not sure if I actually got corrupt files or if anticheat fails to scan my files at all.
Could you check in the server log what happens when I log in? I need to know if it's my installation or something else on my pc.
Do I need to change some system settings maybe?
I have already reinstalled Freelancer and the Crossfire mod twice.
We will check and let you know.
Would the hovis race bypass/hack be considered a "cheat" by server files and prevent me from accesing the server?(if so i can deactivate it since i am past that stupid race )
i use said file for 2 reason
1 a race has no place in a space combat sim
2 i don't play race games because they bore me to death
(just realized posted this in wrong place)
As I remember the Hovis - or kind of - IS already included in the mod.
If you use an additional mod/hack --- consider it as cheat if not even a corrupted installation by now.

and what exactly are we supposed to check?
what char?
what account?
when?
OP and Huor, I think it works now. I found a file in my antivirus quarantaine. (Freelancer\EXE\EquipDrag.dll)
I restored it and now I'm not getting kicked anymore.

Thanks for reminding me of this mate
I think I found the culprit... Because the server was down/restarting every 10 minutes I had to rename the intro videos as it was annoying to spam escape every time game runs... Maybe that was it!
You're advised not to change any files/folders as you might be kicked and/or banned, like in your case. Try to avoid that in the future.
Hi I have a question, will Crossfire 2.0 work with Windows 8.1 64 bit?
good thing i took a long break until 2.0 came out, i didn't even noticed the rollback *tips helmet*
stupid question time: Is the SP changed from 1.9?
