Okay, well listen to this, BG Clan do F1 at hyperion gate. Im with 2 fully paid escorts (SL_Gust and |RIP|Crimanal|C|, and no BG or anybody are blockading dublin at the time. I get to the Hyperion jh, i think i can pay my escorts now, so i get the transfer screen up. All of a sudden a BG appear straight in front of me next to the hyperion gate, yes, screen message, Departing Player BG_****, New Player BG_****, so, i died less than 2 seconds later as nobody had time to react.

I've withheld the name of the BG player, because i know a lot of BG do this little F1 cheat. So it would be unfair to just accuse 1 person.

I ask, for this blockade, if its in effect, then can 1 BG person stay in Dublin rather than go off and do other things until we get there, and can BG Dock at a station so events like this do not happen.

If you disagree, then i will put my fighter char next to hyperion JH, and F1 into battle aswell, and see how you like being F1 Jumped.

If anybody is saying i'm lying, well, i have 2 witnesses, my escorts, Criminal and Gust, ask them!.

F1 is used by EVERY player on the server and its nothing wrong with it as long you are not in the middle of a fight (which was not the case)

if you blame some1 for using F1 while he was not attacked then you have to blame everyone on the server who is switching chars in space and on stations

in my opinion the Apearing right in front of you is to much, but i dont agree that 1 guy has to sit there all the time as this is RP (and lets face it very few run the blocade in trains when there is a presence in dublin) but again in my opinion the F1 in should be done before the dublin system is entered by the target or at the very least before visual range is established to F1 right on top of you is an F1 ambush and i am on record in the forum saying my opinion is if it ok to F1 ambush a train then it is ok to F1 switch to a fighter for protection (this is my personal opinion and has been cuse for much debate in this forum in the past now present and i am sure the future)

all this said, my post on this thread was not meant to adress the border line fair play cases such as yours saxon but the blatent what i call F1 creeping (in other words starting journey, F1 when your cargo is at risk
wait till the coast is clear then go further F1 again cos it is getting hot and repeat the process all the way to earth)

if any 1 wants to tell me this is a fair way to conuct themselves in game then feel free but i will never agree
as imo you make it all about the money (which is fake anyway) and not about the fun, RP or the intetions of the game creator(s)

germany has the prob now and last time i remember it needed 3 days to get on global server again..
i see 4 players on the server.. wether they arent german or they got the data to connect without.

Whatever happened to the pursuit of your target.

I know I go several systems to find my target and sometimes end up chasing several more before I am eluded or have successfully placed my target under arrest.

You left out the part where you sometimes die when the pursuit ends.

Either way, the hunt makes it fun. Don't just sit there and give up if they pass you by. Go after them and try to make them pay for their offense.

i feel F1 out to change characters when the target ship is in the location so that you appear right in front of them and start to open fire to destroy them is bad sportmanship because the target will never have a fighting chance. I feel the person doing the blockade should switch characters when they see the target just enter dublin..then they can sit and wait for the target to get to them. at least the target can have a fighting chance. Other wise the character ought to just sit and let all blockade persons come to them and just sit will they shoot at the target and not fight back. But i also feel the character doing the smuggling of black market goods should not be allowed to F1 out once they enter dublin also. They should either stay and fight, Turn and run, or try docking at the nearest planet or base for protection. Then try undocking and finishing the run at their own risk.

i totally loved the fining of f1ing in combat that flshell did. But back in the day where there was no f1ing at all, really made things annoying. People -- "F1 in combad is not allowed
F1 outside combat is allowed" -- Live by it, just cuz you dont get fined doesnt change the enemies you make by being a sissie about things.

Maybe once the shell is working again there could be a feature made to disable the F1 feature during PvP instead of fining for using it. Would that be possible?

Si, Thanks for the understanding in the matter, i feel myself that if everone on the server could only F1 in a station, then there would'nt be such issues of F1'ing INTO OR out of battles.

OP - It would be good if this could be incorporated into a later mod i feel, to just disallow it when not docked, but then, that just depends on whether its possible to do so.

I've only used F1 1 time ever when not docked, that was i think the event Si was mentioning when i was being chased through Sol after running the blockade, but it didnt matter anyway, because somebody just F1'ed to Earth and killed me before i got there anyway. Other than that, i see no reason to use F1 outside of a station, and i probly wont ever use F1 again outside of a station so far as i can see.

On the subject of the actual blockade, i think its a great idea, and adds much more fun to the server. And BG are doing a good job.

I wrote another blockade breaking report, with a little more of Sirius political issues on it... the one who whishes can read it at RP board[30]

They did....Also, in the "oldin days", n0x and some Freelancers, sometimes Chaos would blockade the Hawaii Traderoute, back when it was the main one.

first off, since when is BG a police clan???

next, since when do "military" clans care about bmg's, its not like those lists actually have names or anything which could compromise internal security of BG...(yes i read this on another post... "pfft")

next, why isn't there blockading of the rest of the "more profitable" "pfft" bmg runs?

next, why 3 days before the blockade... were everyone and there brother doing the sol run 10 hrs a day... did they know about the blockade in advance? if so, why wasnt everyone else given the opportunity to have 3 days as well?

next, this is possibly the reason i get banned for expressing this opinion, but ive not been able to connect for a week or so now even with the connection tool... ill tell a story first so u guys can all at least try to see my reasoning for expressing this concern..

about a year ago.. i started playing FL under a friends tutalege, he gave me the game and then gave me wts mod, and i must say... i was dead impressed with it, it was kinda like the sci-fi wars mod op was wanting created, it included alot of the sci-fi shows storylines and ships. a cool feature was the borg, they were located below new york, and had jumpholes in nearly every corner of sirius. basically its so no system was more than 4 systems away. kinda cool actually. anyway there was a clan called the ORN there, this was the sp's and admins and crabtree's clan in the begining.(crabtree was the creator of the mod...) so in the begining i had about 15 ppl from my a2 and css clan come there, everyone was impressed, very cool game, so after about 4 days or so, we had billions, there was alot of us, so obviously we were rich very very quickly. we paid 5 billion for za'ha'dum, this was a system where prisoners were bought for 100$ each.(in this mod there were no bmg's, prisoner run was the best next to the diamond run, which orn controlled about 5 systems, where all the really good runs were and we werent allowed there. so we bought this one and then the place where there sold, so thats 2 systems we bought. then plan was to buy 2 more systems where the uber ships and upgrades were located, the day before we were to buy them 10billion for 2 systems, all of a sudden there was a very very bad patch released that everyone had to have, this patch reset everyones account, and that meant all systems had to be rebought... hmm orn kept theres... ok so anyway they decided it would be a good idea in this new patch to delete the prisoner run and move the weapons, convienently located in orn teritory.... pfft, this went on for a few weeks while they were " trying to fix the mod", so next after a few weeks and a few "convienant" patches, the most profitable run available was gold bought for 100 sold for 1100.... this was semi upseting, then after a few more weeks and patches, all the extra systems were closed off, all the good VHF's were unavailable to be bought, weapons upgrades... everything after a while.

a few months ago i went back solo to see if it being just me some n00b, will not have prejudice held against me, this was not the case, it was even worse, we almost werent allowed to leave NL then i was banned for saying ass in nl as in " this mod sucks ass"

ok so if u have bothered to read thus far, you are starting to understand my concerns over clan owned servers leading to coruption. now i understand that BG isnt this tyranical by any means, but i do see there method of domination taking longer. i am expressing these concerns not out of my own welfare, but moreso of the games welfare. fl is a very cool game, but extremely unballanced, CF fixed that, its vey ballanced. but this tyrany i am seeing in them will lead to domination eventually there will be no good runs nor will there be any good ships etc.. as is already happening with me not being able to buy my fav ship the shroud from cfpd.

i hope no1 gets pissed for me posting this, but i feel it necessary for the masses whom play this game to rally against the would be tyrants from gaining to much power, like today its the sol run, in 1.63 all bmg's deleted, after than X closed off to non BG etc.. you see where im going with this???

anyway i hope u guys (bg cfpd etc...) can read what i say and take it as advise, i know u guys are prolly just bored or w/e so u wanna throw up a blockade, or are stopping r39 or w/e for getting to big to fast, if they even exist here anymore, or the namechangers or w/e. but seriously find a new way that dosent involve being unfair to those of us whom just want to play a very cool game, eventually as i see already ppl just leaving due to tyrany, even if they dont admit it,

@ Drakon........me killed at the end of a pursuit?? I dont think so m8...never happened. The only time I was killed was when I was docking...called a dockrape AND the culprit paid dearly.

@ Tyrael, so we tried? Ok m8........we will this time. Sev is correct, people were whining when we started the blockade, so we backed off.

@Junkers. I dont think you ever survived an encounter with me? Have you? Even when it was 3 cruisers and 2 fighters from your little group fighting me in New London.....you still lost.

@Everyone, I am gone for a few days on a family emergency, but when I get back, CFPD will place a full-press on smuggling..........actually Sev and his officers will start immediately.
