maybe you should give us all another try. there are rules to the systems and it sounds like you were told them. but i know what its like to have to wait like that.

however this is not the time for you to leave. talking to the server clan members and lerning the rules will make you a valuble member of the CF commuity and you have been doing that from what i have read.

so pls think again before parking you fighter up and maybe you will grow to love this mod and the ppl in it like so many of us.

as for us "younger guys" trust me we are not just look at some of our profiles especily in PiA we are a bunch of old fart havin lots of fun.

Instead of getting the shroud get the freedom ship which move the same than shroud and it is nice ship (you will like it) It is in purian lake which is for Fallen clan but since I made that ship I ll give you permission cause I made it for everyone and not just for a clan. You will find out how it moves the same and fight the same than the shroud. The looks indeed insnt that nice like the shroud cause the shroud had a painted job with logos and everything else but still have a nice metal looking. Forget about clan system, there are plenty systems you can explore and no one will bother you except the npcs. Give it another try and you will enjoy the inmensity of the mod that have many things to explore and some storyline to discover...Have you been in Death Valley, Freeport 7, Coalition systems, SOl system and lets not talk of Dom kavash where you can not go alone cause NPCs there are deadly and will overhelm you if you are by yourself...

In case you dont like freedom, there are plenty ships out there that are pretty similar to shroud...One good thing that this mod have is that the major diference among the best VHF is just the looks cause almost all best are balance the same. The shorud had just one advantage over the others before and that was that could mount 3 disruptor launchers which for an experienced PvP fighter is pretty useful and deadly in CF. But that advantage from what i heard is gone, it can just mount 2 disruptors and 1 torpedo launcher. Again, this if you considering yourself goin into PvP but then again you could still explore first...

I do hope you stay cause I am pretty experience playing like 30 different mod in SP but when I started to play CF, SP wasnt enough cause the experience you get online in CF would be far superior from anything else...

Hey Azadur Im sorry to hear that you r leaving... Well personally I d like to suggest you give it another try. I understand your hard feelings, as I got it too at the beginning of my experiences of CF - but now im loving it and cant imagine what i would do without it. Yes there are system controls which may stop you at the gate; trading is sometimes dangerous cuz pirates and police are after you (well yes im suggling [7] ); and yes i did have unpleasant experiences with pirates and police... but because of all these i had to talk to players askin questions and helps - and because of this i now have much more friends than i ever had on other FL servers.

I suggest flying with your friends, doin missions together - trust me playing alone in MP is no fun. Or you could try joining a clan - it surely gives you more fun and more friends. Before, I was a FL, i thought clan is just a tag before my char name and nothing more, i thought what would it be different from FL? but now i know iwas seriously wrong, now clan is almost everything for me, the first thing i do after logon is to look for my clan mates, and chat, and fly together.

RG and carbine are absolutely right, I think there are still lots of things that not discovered by you, and so lots of fun for you.

I would seriously think about joining a clan, .:KRT:. is a noble clan looking to recruit players, it makes your freelancer experience so much better. FL is the only game I play online nowadays, you dont have to pay for such a good experience constantly, like games like WOW. now that you made the experience of being killed several times you know what to do and what not to do.... and now you are prepared for the next time

and if there is some1 killing you again then you respawn somewhere.... nothing bad did happen

Well, you can't say you weren't warned, especially since I personally warned you from one of my (IOC)CA ships at the time... Being hunted is normally a result of rules infractions or pirate actions, both of which are predictable. I got killed in a sneak attack by a pirate early in my CF career, but I did not give a single thought to quitting, since there is no mod like this one Just learn from it and move forward, and discover the players you feel comfortable hanging with, whether freelancers or clan members; not everyone is out for blood!

let's put things in these way, the risk is part of the game, as in real life we have take responsabilitys for our acts, break system rules is break rules and you should be aware of it.

So, stop conplain and speak with CFPD, apologize to them and keep rolin your game.

Many of the resident players have make that kind of mystaques when they arrived, but insteed of given up they have make they're presence here strongest, and with time they have conquer the friendship and respect of all.

You will find that CF was made to Multiplayer and the without friends our role seams useless.

And about ships, at these time there's many good ships out there, even ships better then shroud.

I was flying an eagle when I bought my first shroud and if you want to know is more then enough to kill most of NPC's.

So be cool and give as a chance.

I was around while this was going on. I heard that a Shroud had been taken without permission. There were 3 CFPD members around X at the time, myself, REAPER, and Gunny. He was also told to sell the ship immediately. He went to Alaska instead. He then argued with Gunny, (big mistake). He did sell the shroud while being escorted by REAPER.

1. Sorry Ekard, most of CFPD comes on late in the afternoon or evening hours so if you were waiting all day that is why.

2. There is no hard feelings against you, Gunny shoots down all of those that take a shroud.

3. Plenty have been shot down just as you were, please dont take it as CFPD has anything against you.

4. Don't give up over one mistake, lots of others have made the same and stayed with CF and have lots of fun.

5. Grab an angelwing, almost as good as the shroud. I cant tell you what system in here but find me online and I will show you.

The things you have done are not that bad that you dont deserve a second chance... we see now you regret it, I think you wont do such mistakes again, so you dont need to leave...

When I was a noob. A player treated me brutal just like Angel of Death treated you. I thought about quitting also. I ran into Argos and he let me fly with him. Had great fun and still are. We joined IOC together. Cant forget Midget, he gave me 40 million just for fun! Gunny made some loans to me so I could upgrade. Well brutal player came back to server. Because of char whipe, I was strong and he was weak. He asked about joining IOC. I told him to pi** up a rope. Havent seen him since. LOL

This game has many twists and turns. You can find much joy here. If you want to learn the game ask IOC member if you can fly with him or her. But only if you follow all the rules and courtesies of the game.

Hey, don't think that all guys here on crossfire are young, i know several players who had they first computer in the 80ies and still are playing!

I think I'm 1 of the oldest player on Crossfire and i play here more than 2.5 year ( without pvp ! ) and still enjoying relationship with others.

Buying a shroud is asking for troubles, specialy i'ts a PVP designed ship. I had a full year a beautifull KOMODO DRAGON that did good job against NPC's but not terrific in PvP. Blades ships are very good also, the choice is yours but if you are going NPC dont excite pirates or police !

He is NOT on the KOS list.

NewPol: My first computer was a Commodore 64, man did that thing rock in its day. LMAO Had over 200 games on 5 1/4 floppies.

@ Azadur I've been flying Shrouds for about half my time on this server. Our clan, I believe has a standing Ok from Gunny to buy Shrouds whenever we want. But You know what? I ask each an everytime. Why? Simple curtisy. It cost nothing and goes a LONG way. And for heavens sake, respect Clan systems. It's very little to ask that so many seem to want to ignor.

Be nice if you stayed....but that's something you'll have to decided on.....

Well, I do not see any reason for you to depart, you just learned the hardway. I did the same when I arrived at CF many moons ago and it was BG that showed me the way around the server and extended many courtesies to get me moving....not to mention a few pirates too.

As for Clan Systems, you need to ask. I have permission to enter most clan systems unannounced, but I STILL ask as a matter of respect for that clans system.

As for CFPD, if you ask us, 99% of the time you will get your request. Same with any other clan.

But the reason I shot you down was, you told me you knew Tarsus was CFPD space and you were tired of waiting.

Now if you want to join this community and we will be glad to get you started, get with a CFPD member and we will give you a tour.

Clan members, generally speaking, are not hostile but very helpful people (not taking into consideration that there is always the possibility of a bad element) but you have no idea how hard it is to be nice and polite when so many people will not do the simplist thing like read the forums. the rules or even the blurps (as you did finally) and adhear to them. But when someone seems to or down right does ignor your communications and even F1 out while in your system, you tend to be a little less than polite at times. The Rules and clan systems are posted so many places that you either have to be blind or down right ignor them. This will make anyone angry in the end.

What would you do if someone invaded your home......make them a cup of coffee? But this is "Just A Game".....no, this is an online community.....each one of those clan systems are paid for. Just like in real life. With that comes responsability. Something that many people refuse to embrase. Now none of the above is intentionally pointed at you. But if any of the shoes fit.....well there you go....

Many will read just enough to bitch and com[plain about things but never enough to actually know what's going on.
