  • Ok, it's starting to bug me but you don't notice that you are even contradicting yourself.

At this point again, you again say Merkel/Germany is not doing anything about other countries or forcing anyone. Each country it's rules/laws, nobody did anything to affect other countries. (even though all countries in EU should keep the same set of rules/laws to be at the same level).

Yet just a little before you clearly admitted how merkel/germany is calling for help/support which just by being one of us, the EU, it's already halfway to forcing, if it wasn't such a wrong decision, the rest of countries would help despite it not being agreed upon. Why is there a "refuse" (and those countries doing referendum so they show their stance) if there was no call ?
And later you even thought about blackmailing countries who openly do not support you, by reducing the money flow, which is nothing different from "forcing", using your influence. And it's obvious this is in the mind of everyone who cares, also because while this negatively affects Germany's economy, it will lower the available money/money flow.

What you don't see about germany and it's "high and merited/deserved influence" is that it's economic growth is mainly because it's ideal location within EU, centered, 1-2 countries away from any other country, making biggest companies set their HQ there, industrial companies as well, and etc. 50+ years ago it was struggling to be self sufficient, it was just couple years ago when I heard Germany is taking a lead. If it starts doing more damage to EU than good, it can lose this big economic booster by getting isolated in the near future. Instead of breaking EU because the missuse of Germany's influence, maybe the better solution is restricting Germany. Instead of punishing every other country in the EU for not supporting Ger (which already happens as it's economy is being damaged), it's them who should be punished for acting out of line until they get back on the same page as the rest. But hopefully not, as that's going to look a lot worse than UK closing doors now, which DID happen partially thx to being called to "support" this open doors policy. It's the one single topic that wasn't there in the last brexit polls, it was the one reason that made more people vote to leave than the last times which had all the same reasons except this one, which you could've seen if you either investigated their news or personally knew ppl from there. And Cameron did say he's going out if UK is leaving since before, he was against it, not sure what "career save" you mention. And he did what he promised, he resigned one day after "losing" the referendum.

Still, on a personal note, Im not sure what germany is trying to do with all the people. They will never finish removing them from the country with how it is now, and they will never EVER integrate with the rest of the pop. You can take the gipsy people for example, all countries have them for hundreds of years and they still use their unwrittable language, still cause most of the criminal actions (like all the news about "romanian" doing something, it's normally gipsies with RO papers, not native ROs), still act differently and less civilized than the rest. Or well, USA, just bigger african slum areas than in Paris right now. "Spreading" them to other countries is no solution at all, it's sharing the problem which will keep being the same. So imo, NO, if all EU countries helped this would've been a bigger mess. Instead of pushing them back out from Greece or Hungary or Italy or whatever entry point they were stuck, germany took them in the center of Europe, now they are stuck with them and southern (as well as eastern) countries having more difficulty keeping up with the borders. NOT EU's problem really. It was a bad "personal" call not supported by EU.

  • No its not contradicting. Absolutely not. And what you claim is not what i said.
You once more started to generalize.

I really wonder how you are able to tell here that requesting help is equal to forcing somebody to something.
If requesting help is such a terrible and evil thing then its probably best that we all never do something like that again. I will never ask for help again and of course I will never offer help again if that leads to claims that I forced somebody to do something he/she didnt want to do.
Who is forcing Germany to pay the bills of other european countries? If thats so bad then maybe we should stop that?
If forcing people to do the right is such a bad thing... yes... then we stop all payments .... oh wait... thats also a form of forcing... thats forcing other countries to solve their own problems (which are by far worse then the refugee crisis).

    What is the right decision?
Not to help and let hundred thousands of people die in trade for 0.1% economic growth?
I dont want to live in a EU that makes such decisions. Those which refuse to help violate the principles of the EU.
Refusal to help is the wrong decision. Wrong in morale point of view. Wrong in terms of existing contracts and member agreements.
I have deepest respect for ten (or hundred) thousands of helpers which were not forced to help but instead stood up volunteerly worked for weeks and months to resolve the problems.
I have deepest respect for countries which actually have absolutely nothing to do with the Crisis or the EU but still decided to help. Thank you Canada, thank you Turkey, Armenia, Irak, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Argentinia, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Colombia, Iran, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United States,... and many more.
Those countries understood what a right decision is, they were not forced by anyone and many of these have worse economic problems than any other European State.
The decision NOT to help is the wrong decision because that is what create the imbalance some European countries currently suffer from.

If you dont get that in your head... then Im really sorry. You will never understand how this world works.
I also dont understand everything. I dont understand how a country which seems to have economic and financial problems seems to have no problem with having the most expensive football clubs worldwide. Apparently the priorities are set wrong in these countries.

And yes Michael... I feel ashamed by the fact that germany is in the middle of Europe. The perfect spot for economic growth, unlike spain which has direct access to the Atlantic and the Mediterrainian sea, which actually would be perfect conditions for a strong oversea trading economy.
And yes +50 years ago the situation of course was different in germany, because that was after the war where practically all cities and industrical complexes had to be rebuild without having many large natural resource deposits left in the country.
Germany isnt doing damage to the EU... it is acting by the princibles of the EU. You want to restrict germany?... then try to find a new money giver for the rest of the countries.

Yes, of course... Cameron said he would resign.
But what you dont get is that this referendum was a joke.
Cameron was contra EU since his political career started. Never before he said anything positive about the EU. And he only elected because of his EU critical campaign.
Prior that referendum he tried negotiations with the EU about addition UK bonuses and failed. And at some point before that in his idiotic political career he promised to hold a referendum.
Thats what he promised months ago... a referendum... and thats the promise he kept. If not his political career had died.
The referendum at least gave him the chance to win while still following his idiotic anti-EU doctrine.
Too stupid that his plan didnt work and he (as defender of the EU -> rofl) lost the referendum.
He played poker and lost everything.
I am certain that in the near future the BBC will broadcast a new documantary "How David C. ruined our country". That docu will consist of two parts. The seconds will be named "Lies on a bus, wrong math, false promises and two idiots quoting president Bill Pullman".

The referendum was not about a few thousand refugees.
The referendum in the end was about ten thousands of people which will lose their jobs now, hundred thousands if not millions of EU citizens that lose their homes, thousands of companies that have to be closed, trade deals that can no longer fulfilled, trade agreements which never will be able to be done again under such good conditions, loss of international markets, massively increasing inflation and another shitload of things which sound even worse.
    Yeah, that sums it up.
Just because of a stupid asshole which called for a referendum and tried to predict to be what he not is (a supporter of the EU).

And just to get back to your last part here...
You want to push the people out?
    Go for it!
But then you also have to accept all consequences of this action.
The way you want it to happen your country would be no longer part of the EU because you would violate European law. You also would violate borders of other countries which gets your country at the edge of a war. Your government also might end infront of a UN trial IF your government is actually even able to change local laws which would allow them to push people out.
This whole push them out at all costs sounds very radical and reminds me very much on Germany 1939-1945.

I am looking forward to the day that my ID card doesnt remind me anymore that I was born as German, but instead tells me that I am a human being and that I can be proud of it.

  • ... i am proud to be born as German - not that this sounds strange, I think we developed into an open and free country, with a lot of benefits for each one. We achieved a lot in the past and now have to fight for it. Freedom has two sides, and often the side to do something for it is forgotten or put into background.

I look forward to that day, when others would finally get rid of the stereotyped thinking - and people are respected due to what they are and not how they look like, what religion they follow and how their sexual feelings are. That are my concerns, the world could be a lot better.

  • Well OP, what you last said does sound nice. And again helping the ACTUAL syrian refugees is a good thing I do support, the bad thing is how that decision was said and why it's being misused by over a dozen other countries outside EU to go inside. It was as simple as putting it to vote in the EU parliament and have the situation controlled instead of this, then every body and country would help, as well as filtering the opportunists from the real victims here.

I'm not sure why against pushing non self sufficient and/or incompatible people out who are not victims though, always been done and will always be done even if it means breaking EU because some think they know better. "Europe" only exists because the eastern countries stopping every incursion (aka pushing people) over the entire time of history, not just the popular ones like the Huns, Chinese, Genghis Khan, Atilla, arabic hordes or so, the list is much longer. Same for Spain, which few hundred years ago the hispanic penisle was 90% occupied by arabs, arabic "country", took few more hundred years to create Spain by pushing the intruders away. No push, Spain would not exist today. Germany is not a country that knows about being at the border, instead, knows about being sorrounded by friends and friendly countries of a similar level. Some are like water and oil, will never blend/mix, like the gipsy so far, in 900 years.

  • I don't know... but the half of those 2000 years in which it was Not a cluster of small empires/kingdoms/whatever, it basically caused it's own problems but I think it didn't really face SAME constant threat of dissapearing without themselves being the ones who tried to occupy others and it backfiring. Maybe if the constat threat was bigger, a country would not be strong enough, or bored enough, to try occupy more.

Even more obvious with Spain, after the last arabic "european" occupation, "Spain" being about 5 small kingdoms hidden up in the european side corner of the peninsula, but once it was united and great it occupied places around the entire world (partially through politics not only war), afterall it was THE nation where the sun never set down on. Also thanx to that it was a strong oversea trading economy as you said earlier, but now sea trade isn't much worth. When there was no threat from outside, themselves became the threat. "Luckly" the threat now is so big nobody can move at all, except those who have nothing to lose in the first place, huh ?

  • No... we only had invasions from the west and the souths during the times the roman empired tried to conquer that land (and got defeated by german tribes).
Later on we had invasions from the east as result of the Huns. We had invasions from the north throughout the middleages.
We had practically nearly no year without internal conflicts since germany until the 19th century was a losoe collection of dozens of states/kingdoms fighting over territory and influence.
We constantly had troubles with france and Napoleon gave us the biggest beating we ever received.
We had wars raging for multiple decades without any interruption.
In the 50 years prior world war one Germany has fought in 11 wars.
The history of this country throughout the past 2000 years is shed in blood.

I just mentioned that to show you that we didnt have an easy living in history and that being a central located country has many disadvantages.

  • Quite active indeed :D

Interesting to know the Huns arrived that far, they clashed on the north of Romania but never got to occupy anything, they inspired a lot of fear though. Did the Otoman Empire get there too ? These ones had big loss in the end where they were trying to actually occupy and instead were pulled to fight over a big swampy area when coming from the south, supposedly there should still be over ten thousand armor pieces underground now, and bones. The odds were 1 to 10. Called (from our PoV I guess) the biggest loss of Islam/islamism, 500 years ago. And now the situation is shit, thx Russia. Let's hope "Politically Correct" democracy doesn't fail though.

  • Germany, now first country in Europe with more deaths+wounded from terrorism/arabs than car accidents or diseases(separatedly I think). Hundreds of minor attacks with normally just wounded or one victim (doesnt even show up on news anymore unless it's prime minister's medic daughter or such), but plenty enough with multiple deaths too. Fortunately, not all are a success, for example the 12yo girl from few days ago who's detonator didnt work in Berlin and got caught, else there would be even less germans around now (for all the fails or busted attempts, not just this single example).

Good job with your colorful...ness. I wonder why is tourism going down instead of up, with such colors.

This is just the beggining, people didnt even start mixing up much. You will understand sooner or later why the "bad eastern countries" dont want to open anything no matter how you press. Better throwing the money and run off EU than "obey". Because they already had such "visitors" and ruined the countries for many generations until wars happened, but at least THEY were NOT welcomed. Even the humanity's "dark age" era was caused by such a move, called that way by more than just the lack of historical documents.

It still all looks weird tho, as if it was a move or order from the outside made with money, not something normal.

This one happened hours after the Russian Ambassador got shot by his security details: Russian diplomat 'found dead from gunshot wounds at home just hours after ambassador killed at art exhibition' - Mirror Online

The worst possible outcome for all of this is nuclear holocaust....Which would be fun in a certain light...

  • Fun?? I'd think it'd be a waste of time and money, and all it would be doing, is killing mostly those that are innocent, like in pretty much every other war and terrorism. If people have beef with the leaders and those who maybe corrupted, it'd be better sending them a missile or two, not the public.

    L+ Ratio

  • Michael, each time when a war is planned/scheduled, exactly like the war on Syria was planned/scheduled because of 3 certain reasons (and no, it had nothing to do with democracy nor human rights), the military staffs are of course planning/calculating/estimating the refugee waves. because the military simply needs to know, where it can go and where not. it was clear from the beginning, that millions of syrian people would flee the combat zones. and they fled to their neighbor countries (turky, Libanon, jordan), at least where the countries let them. it is well known, that the rich arabic countries like the pigs of gulf (saudi arabia, it is btw. one of the main actors in syria) were not interested to get those poor humans and closed their borders. well, the results were many refugee camps around Syria in poor countries, denpendend on help of the unhcr. and then one day the unhcr decided to dramatically reduce the help for the refugees in these camps. now imagine, millions of people which have lost everything but their lifes were now in danger of loosing the last they had: their lifes. because of hunger, deseases, crime and whatever. of course they did what everyone would do: leave these camps and go wherever it could be better. and they flooded europe. some countries closed their borders. others let them in. well, it was almost only germany that let them in. why? because this refugee crises had the potential to blow up all the eu. many of the countries are relatively homogen, 1 race/culture/religion per country. and these refugee would bring of course troubles to the inhabitants and these inhabitants would make revolution or whatever against their governments and thatswhy the governments said, they dont want the refugees. but all came to germany, because our lovely cute mother merkel loves the eu (and hates us germans) and she seems to be a fan of the hooton plan. we are really fucked.

Right, but where do you think those corrupt leaders reside? Usually major metropolitan areas. It's called collateral damage and frankly, collateral damage is acceptable in my opinion depending on varying circumstances. For example, Bombing a hospital is not cool, no matter who blew it up (the US, Terrorists, Russia, Whoever...) In fact, it's against international law. Blowing up a whole office building just because one bad guy is at the 23rd of 40 floors would definitely be overkill.

But a small village that has a confirmed terrorist training camp for example, well you shouldn't have been colluding with terrorists otherwise your charred corpse wouldn't be burning in a small crater where that town used to be....

Denne, Merkel is in pocket of the United States. If the President could do what Merkel has done with the refugees, he would. However, President Trump will be increasing the vetting scrutiny to make sure we aren't letting terrorists into the country. The mainstream media won't admit it, but America has been attacked by terrorists a lot since 9/11. From shooting disabled services buildings (which i worked 3 blocks down from in San Bernadino for a week a few months before that shooting), to...get this...Gun-free military zones. Oh look, surprise, now guns are to blame, lets ban that shit! One agenda fuels another and it's sickening when you can read the writing on the walls. You let in terrorists, let...in....and civil liberties get taken away. You heard about german and italian families being forced from their home so refugees can stay there. I don't want that shit in my country. You can come, but you can't have my house!

Look, if your doma got blown up and you need a place to go, fine, America will take care of you. But if youre coming here to take advantage of that generosity and violate the laws, fraud the system, become a criminal and become a burden on society, then go somewhere else. I hear Sweden has pretty good welfare laws but sadly, refugees are straining that system

    I'm out *mic drop*

  • Oh wow that "Hooton" plan. Looks like that's whats going on now anyway... its pretty visible how few women are coming at all with those kids, they all seem to only have a father. And apparently rape ammounts multiplied by x3 ??

i just wonder, why so less terrorist acts happen here. ok, no, i don't wonder. because i know that life is something very precious in islam: "... if someone kills a human being, that is not guilty in killing someone else, it is as if all human kind was killed. and if someone saves another human life, it is as if all human kind was saved." (Qur'an Sura 5:32)

while 49% of uspna-inhabitants and 31% of europeans agree, that military violence agains civilians is sometime justified (see PortalEarth' last post), only 19% of the muslims do that.

  • yeah but the idea of jihad itself is rooted over hundreds of years ago. Europe and Southwest Asia have been at war with each other as long as time itself. Warring nation states helped map out modern geopolitics. Muslims slaughtered Christians in the name of Allah and Christians slaughtered Muslims in the name of God. Spoiler alert: It's the same guy in it's most basic understanding.

I've heard that statistic be as low as .1% of the muslim population of the world is extremist. However it's just like general opinions of groups like Juggalos, Skinheads or the Police: The few bad seeds ruined the name and reputation of the many. Juggalos are cool people, all they do is smoke weed and listen to music. Skinheads are the same way, but with different style of music (read the history of the Skinhead, it's pretty interesting) But a few too many kids took the lyrics of Insane Clown Posse a little too seriously and a few too many leftists brought Neo-Nazism into the group and things went bad.

Social media has a big influence on public opinion. That's why Donald Trump won! He was able to circumvent the "filter" known as Mainstream Media and speak to supporters directly. That's why the media went after him so viciously because he could sway public opinion in 140 characters or less. So what does the media do? Put Donald J. Trump at the top of news and smear the crap out of him. The problem is, all the dirty they found was over a decade old, in "he said, she said" circumstances which if you know anything about the political world. Nothing substantial. For that matter, a lawsuit was dropped against Trump because the victim wouldn't go to court. Probably because there was no victim, only identified as a Jane Doe. Sexual Assault cases don't go very far in those circumstances.

So what does the media do? they take to social media themselves. They paint Putin as bad guy "ooohhh, Russia hacked the DNC, Russia rigged the Election, Russia shot down an airliner." Eventually you'll see a pattern. How can the CIA prove Russia hacked the election if the assessment is secret? I'm gonna blame OP because i ran out of weed. I have no evidence he smoked the last of my stash, but i have high level officials informing me it's true through a secret report i haven't seen.

See how absurd that is? That's pretty much literally what the Washington Post said about Russian intervention in the US Election. That said, the CIA has meddled in a lot of elections themselves, many in third world and developing nations. The United States: The Land of Opportunity and Hypocrites...

In germany, deaths in car accidents PER MONTH is more than 6 times higher than all victims of terrorism (including the wounded from yesterday) over the period of the entire year.
That are 72 times more deaths in car accidents if I consider the entire year (and germany has a relative low death rate in car accidents compared to other countries).
-> I just compared the numbers.

So whatever you are talking of.... its bullshit.

But while we are at it... in the USA (which obviously is not a country with big muslim immigration) the amount of deaths due to terrorism has in EVERY year been a mulitple times higher than the amount of terror victims in germany.

    Fun Fact!
The amount of US americans which die because of gunshots on american streets is more than 2900 times higher than the amount of victims of terrorism in Germany (2016).

I wont deny what happened... but problems elsewhere look more serious.
We know that there are risks... we live with these risks for more than 15 years meanwhile.
9/11 was not only an attack on the USA... it was an attack on the western world... and there is not one country which didnt play a role in the events that followed.
All our countries claimed to fight against terrorism and made themselves target of terrorists. All our countries in one or another way supported the fight against terrorism... with money... with weapons... with troops or other resources. And for meanwhile 15 years all our countries are potential targets of terror attacks.
The risk today isnt much higher than 5 or 10 years ago.

Every year there have been terror attacks all around the globe.
Just because a few attacks happened in europe now does not mean that the problem is getting bigger... it only means that the countries which had luck in the past run out of it now.
