  • Dudes, wanna have some kind of an event this sunday afternoon?


    - ASF / CSF battle?
    - System conquest?
    - Gun hunt in Canis?
    - Mothership hunt by people rebelling against human-DK alliance?

  • You know, defenders vs. attackers... Standard invasion. Kill everything inside, punch through defenses, dock on last base to win a beer or something.


    I suggest Vespus for this one, or Tarsus (because of trade lane layout).

  • If it's Tarsus, I know on which side I will be, and my opponents will see no mercy ^^


    But the idea of the defences and such sounds practical for a good event, good idea !


    Any better option than this ? Anyone ?

  • Tarsus was just off the top of my mind... Helios would work too, Vega aswell.


    Vega could have a nice story wrapped up in it, "Prison breakout" style...

  • Pirates win = Pirates gain upper hand in Tarsus ; Cops win = Pirates dissapear from Tarsus


    Such thing is not possible, since it's a clan system. :P It could be only for that time, when the event is on, but nothing that will affect Tarsus itself.

  • If you want rly nice 'counted' event .. then why not do it as asf vs csf in some of contenset systems? ... Hook counting have allot advantages and imo offer much better control about winner.


    ... asf licenses are not problem, alot of them is in NY.


    btw California offer good place for such action (have still in memory willard defence or not to old fight between asf starting from cal.minor and csf starting from willard).


    .. advantage is that you not need hire anyone and alll RPs or freelancers can join (need only asf or csf lic)

  • Hook counting have allot advantages and imo offer much better control about winner.


    That would be the longest wait for an event result so far, you know how rare that counter updates ^^

  • Provided that we have a good number of attendees, mothership hunt would be a greater fun than anything else, to my mind.
    One advantage of such choice is that everyone will be able to take part in the event, regardless of ASF/CSF membership, pvp skills or game experience.

  • A major event where everyone can come no matter they doubt themselves and afraid of battling other human players is an even better idea since people like them that way and no one has to "loose", that's why the last events were both Nomad Hunt... kinda messing the events schedule, but well.

  • systems score (asf vs csf) last time I checked was updated next day ... just saying.


    ... Motherships hunt: it looks is needed again regularly start our clan expeditions ... will look on this.

  • Yes, at 6 AM GMT like the server, so that's waiting one day for the results, event's over, everyone goes to sleep without knowing how it went , who won, and wake up the next day for the results :P

  • i'm for system conquest....


    make it like Battlefield-style Conquest. where you have to attack and defend the system at the same time. maybe just two systems in this case (Tarsus and Vega perhaps)


    Fighting would happen in X, and the two systems. for the duration of the event, it's possible for pirates to control a cop-owned system...oh the irony.


    so lets say if 5 pirates reach the final trade lane destination in Tarsus, the system is considered to be in control of the pirates and the cops have to leave to X and re-consolidate their forces. vice versa for Vega. it would require a large turn-out for it to work like that.


    If it's a small crowd (>10 people) than it can be single system attack and defend where if the attacking force reaches the final station/trade lane/whatever the attackers win. if the attacks can't get there in 'x' amount of time, then the defenders win.

  • kinda messing the events schedule, but well.

    This schedule not that important aslong the events are going on and not being cancelled becuse no-one wants to join us in Arena for a nice TDM or Top Gun event so we have to live with it..


    And if we do the mothership type so no-one lose this fine by me but maby we can get a TDM event after it for the people that just want to kill and be killed like me ^^

    That'd actually require some tactics.
