Anyway, that's a message from the old Console, there are several bugs that can make that happen, even caused by disconnections that can bug something in the char, also caused by trading (buying or selling) with items that are not synchronized with the server, etc.

It's not a confirmed cheat until it gets checked, or until the new Console / flhook says that. You will see when the Crossfire Console speaks, when there are 2 Cheat detected messages (the 2nd one being with Bold "Console" letters) and the player don't get kicked, but auto banned.

Honestly, when hunting for bounty, if the player is an older one or fully equipped in fighter, I would shoot him in New York. Noob protection is just that, for noobs.

yeah isn't it possible with the levels? maybe if he's Level below lvl 40 we can't kill him and if he's above, we're allowed to shoot.

That's how it's supposed to work since the forced protection in NY got removed, more like modified. (some may remember that you couldn't damage players neither when firing at them). That's why new chars that came to the Starflier events were invincible, but they still were invincible outside New York until they logged in and out to refresh. That wasn't a bug It was the newbie protection..

Just that the NY rule wasn't updated in the last rules update... it's just known by some GRs, like Kalisie.

Michael: The whole idea of shooting players in NY, if they use it to avoid rp, is not a new rule only known to some GR's. BTW... didn't I tell you to pack your bags and get out of CFPD?

I see this kind of hurt feeelings sometimes . listen to Lp50pack . Go take a shit , smoke a joint, get laid and if you don't like CFPD then get em, Buy the way the last time I checked had at least 100000000000000000000000000000................lives left. I don't come to crossfire to be someone special in particular I just love the GAME. If someone pisses me off. I just go down to the local slum and look at the real world a few minutes and tell myself "Damn im glad They put so much work into this mod:-)

That people go there to avoid RP as you say is absolutely no reason to break a server rule by killing them. There were more than enough other choices you could have taken.... such as explaining the RP rules... getting GRs involved to deal with this situation using their GR powers... or waiting until the player leaves NY (coz nobody stays there forever).

From many options the wrong choice was taken. I really suggest to think about consequences next time you encounter such a situation.
