Hello germes,
You are asking about ship, equipment and tactics hints for fighting NPCs? (btw I created new thread from your post)
Few hints: PvP Video Training (try use hints, lessons given there and adapt them to your fly style ... it will need some time but can be big help for you)
Ships: http://www.swat-portal.com/php/forum/index.php?page=Lexicon (explore and try what will suit you best) .. there you can also found equipment and other info.

Welcome to the portal and Crossfire germes,
The NPCs in there, Dom Kavashe Gunboats, can be killed by going behind them and shooting. They can still shoot you down, so avoid their guns while firing at them.
Anyway, those are not the TOP NPCs.
Always remember to focus on not getting hit by NPCs, THEN firing at them.
Have fun,
-Mike -
My hint is ......
Keep flying behind them .. and shoot your torpedo

Top ships in IC are Basilisk (more armor, more bots/bats) and Saracen(more agile), no doubts. Cayman also can hold there due to his agility.
Guns... Phoenix Project Cannon. Or Gatlings.
Another requiring is... guts. And smart brains.
And more over... Try to find a company. One or two guys. Well-known IC alien hunter is Bucket. Dom_Kavash is also known for hunting in IC (as a bonus - he is from Ukaraine). Try to join large fleets. If involved in fight in group, and if you have a nanosecond free from action - check your teammates. If you are under fire - dodge! Use bats or bots only at last resort.
For ability to refill bots/bats in IC, keep a secondary character in Sirius.
Some top NPCs are using slow-projectile guns. Thus, they have problems to hit even overarmored Basilisk, especially when fighting in group.
Cruisers and motherships: if you are not bomber, everything you can expect from fighting them is in best waste of time, in worst - becoming "an hero". Good side is that they don't have cruise disruptor.
And TOTALLY forgot: Добро пожаловать! -
Thanks to all who answered. I will learn to battle.

Good luck

Hi There Germes,
First Up working/learning with another player is seriously recommended, Utrack or myself are commonly found in inner core and would actually be excited to help out.Now to answer to question, It really depends on your style of flying, Larger ships with lots of bots/bats like the basilisk, thanatos and firefly increase your survivability and are really good ships to learn with, positioning when killing NPC's and avoiding fire comes first, shooting them second. Missiles/torpedo are also important for getting damage done even during evasive manoeuvres.
Small agile ships, Iguana and Raptor for example depend on doing lots of damage in small bursts then ducking/evading enemy fire, getting back in a hard to hit position and doing another volley of damage. Lots of ducking and weaving is the name of the game here.
Weapons like Coalition Gattlings and fast thrusters are necessary, and all the other ship upgrades are strongly recommended.
For Practice take missions from the GMG station in Dervon (you have to talk to bar patrons) After you have practiced ducking and weaving and getting behind ancients, then blowing them apart solo with a reasonable success rate you will find you last a lot longer in inner core.
