    I don't see the point in forbidding the newbies to see the database, I mean, if anyone needs the DB, it's them, we old beards know everything by memory anyway.
    If that will spoill the fun for new players, it's upto them to decide.

    point is that we want ppl to play and explore instead to use spoilers
    once the players have reached a certain point they will gain access to the database

    For sure yourself don't know how many tactical wrecks are in IC space... for example, and you're of our 'old beards' as you say :P



    A newbcie could know part of vanilla, some Altair systems and mayve the short path from the entrance to the exit of IC... then, (maybe after finishing the quests) and seeing the database, would discover everything else.

    point of such a database is to be a source of knowledge for old players with terrible memory

    but removing spoilers means puting random prices/places sold at ships, or not showing some stations ? I'td be interesting to see somebodygo to Lost Paradise for any of the trains xD



    Anyways, wasn't the official DB, remade by OP, be supposed to have it everything ? (including spoilers) as only vets or players arriving at certain advanced point could see it.... hmm

    +271.3 % Page views at the first day seems to make the wiki page interesting - if it would be here it would bring more ppl to SWAT and since you can´t talk for OP this discussion simply ends here from my side.

    273 % sounds much without knowing the real numbers tho. Just saying - and if you announce something then i am sure its pretty much normal to get many visitors the first days... Anyway nice work as usual!
    Ship pictures are missing and wrecks positions - are you going to update it? When, where to post and whom to submit it? Or are you waiting until its put in here at SWAT and what i would be interested - how to integrate those data into the wiki at SWAT (as i thought its based on the wiki we have already - just an empty cf database in the background)?

    We have a high res quality screenshots on here with descriptions inside, and some stuff more, but still having to compleete it first.


    Not sure how a sivosten improved model would work in the Official CF wiki, but it's up to OP that.

    Huor, that was a calculated value for an estimated monthly + taking in place the site stats from the beginning - the old wiki visitors - site logged in users - spiders . Yesterday to today would bee more than 3800 % most hits are from google. But thats only boring stats.


    For the pics, yes, would be nice - but more nice would be to have the flash videos again only the creation with the new textures would need several more weeks and my sparetime is limeted - as an answer, yes i will make them again but i don´t know the date nor the time delay.


    For the wrecks data - just send them to daywalker@zumreden.de me and i will ofc. update the DB and place you to the credit page.


    The wiki is soft coded - it could be placed in every template - plain php to mysql requests with some html outputs nothing special - The Site around it is just a cocoon.

    it has tho, a lot of information of all equipment, not only CF added ones... usseful for newer people, even not sure which newb would use it once it gets to Swat wiki, bu OP'll like it that way :D
