  • I think OP meant 500 varieties of commodities, not to decrease cargo in a train. That would make no sense, considering it would be more practical to buy an APC and fly normally, then to mess around in a slow train.


    OF course 500 cargo limit, and Shock log in and try, and u shall see.IAlso i want to add Train's docking procedure is now slow enough, to be an easy pray for every pirate and police noob out there.So no need for additional cargo restrictions-IMO.Also i want to say again this slow docking procedure at stations is nice and i really like it, but u know OP like every nice thing in ur life this need to be fine tuned (few seconds down will do the great job100%) Also i want to let u know, ppl are 2 scared to say what they think here at forum(idk why) or simple they do not want to lose their energy.Peeps will simple sit and wait for what will happen.

    Just to clarify, I haven't seen a cop do their job other than Wedge[CSF]. And he is a pain in the ass, but that's the RP and that's how it should be. :D





    So this procedure is, dock, get 500, undock. Redock, get another 500, then undock. So 10 times to make a load od 5000 cargo of a train?

  • Imo, that sucks. The routes are long enough, random, at times non-existant (I mean for smuggling) and the train quite slow.
    Outrunning a cop/pirate/merc is near impossible if you have no protection.


    But, as I said, I'll adapt if necessary.

    I am not scared to post here my opinion. I dont like this 500 cargo limit. Even avoiding super maga hyper routes is it good to trade for a total profit of 0.5 mil with an APC on a small route or dock and undock 10 times with a train for a profit of 4~5 mil ?


    Michael one thing is for sure I never was checked by cops in 1.8. Only wedge try one time and died... And i see more pirates doing RP than Cops. you guys not even come protect traders from them...

    THE LIMITATION OF THE MARKET STOCKS WAS NECCESSARY TO BALANCE THE TRADING AGAIN TO A NORMAL LEVEL.

    lol OP, do u want to say that we can not dock and undock in order to load full cargo in our train?Btw server sometimes kick u out for cheating with 500 cargo limit in a train, i'll checked with my APC (450 cargo)at the same location and everything working perfect so far?

    And of course if u trading between planet and base, then there is a sense to load few times, but if u loading from base, then no...however, all this depends of distance calculating with time which u need to finish the trading "circle" :(.However I agree with you about more trade routes and shorter distances. :thumbup:

  • OP: No one can do big things and even hope that all changes each will have a like. Necessary things are not popular (know it well from RL). This commodity limit change !! is only one !! (which i read in all threads here) from many big changes you do at CF which ppl not liked much. It would be nice from you if you can sometimes explain little more some changes (especially this "not liked"). I hope that I say this polite enough and not offended you in any way. ....     1. you want more money, better ships, better weapons, better routes, less work
    2. at the same time you fun, roleplay, a long term motivation, a challenge and a mod that you can play with others for the next months/years


    these 2 points are in direct conflict with each other (if you have not noticed it yet)


    you made claims and stupid comments about stuff you have not even understand yet, actually you have not even spent time thinking about it
    Is it fun to make half a billion $ in an hour? What do you do next week then?
    Is if fun flying save and lonely around? What is with teamplay, escorts and roleplay?


    Just alone to think the trading is limited to 500 units is pure nonsense.
    You dock at station 1, buy 500 h-fuel (because it is cheap), you also buy 500 water (because it is cheap). You launch and fly to the next station where you dock. There you sell your water because the prize is good, then you buy 500 diamonds and 500 beryllium.
    What?
    Your cargohold is full with 1500 units... and you have probably not even left the system yet?
    Do that with 10, 20 stations... and you earn the same amount of money in the same timespan as before.
    THAT IS CALLED TRADING!
    Oh and you can be sure that I will introduce something that prevents that you can re-dock a station when you have already bought a good there.


    On the roleplay matter.... your arguements are pure bullshit.
    Ever thought about the fact that you now can decide where to fly instead of following the "common" routes between the planets? You have the clear choice to avoid Pirates or Cops and you always could hire some mercs if its still too risky for you.

    I think i was pretty clear about the banning. I dont care if its a freelancer a clan member or even a clan leader... if somebody uses exploits, cheats or other violations of rules then i will issue a ban. Everything on the server is getting logged. For sure i can not read all the logs... but for sure there will be reports about such ppl and then i will take a look at those logs and if i see that somebody really did such a shit then i make my promise true. No explaination, no reason and no sorry will help that player then.

  • As I remember, you, OP, told it's 2000 items limit at planets, but now I see it 500 at least from yesterday, did that changed ? As planets are bigger... :)


    Also, only really dedicated people make lvl 90 fast... where the majority get lost in issues, mainly dedicated people stay longer even if they already have lvl 90 (notice now no lvl 90 char is inactive), but the newbies who don't even know to transfer have problems arround anyways... even with our help in info and $, they aren't as experienced or... even smart/dedicated enough to survive at a NY that don't have an at least nice simple route for a new freighter to make their fighter, even I noticed oyu made many good routes, that atm are desynchronized by the dynamic economy ( right now some experienced player got kicked about 3 times for it).


    Also, not many members read all the posts and many miss your explanations about why you do each thing, how I knew enough to explain at my turn what you said, others could know teh same.... but not all. It's like the teacher and the alumns :D Just don't be too mad on repeating even for 5th time.

  • of course i said 2000 units for planets, but i also said that i have at least 2 more weeks work to do on the server
    but thinking about this thread i wonder why i actually should raise that limit at all... there is nothing that the players would have deserved something like that
    I have requested that players are online so i can do tests on the server under real conditions... the activity on the server was lousy during the past weeks which made my work nearly impossible (just by luck i was able to find the reason for some probs).
    I requested help with doing a PR campaign that should start with the release of the mod. If huor wouldnt have done something i would be still waiting. Maybe i should apply that 2000 limit just for Huor.... because the others have not deserved it at all.
    Ok... I dont want to be unfair... there were a few ppl which at least reported some probs... but those are not the ppl which have a big mouth now.
