Release in 2 days, trailer sure looks great.

I have all the Civ games but the problem is that i always get the feeling like its all the same game just with tiny changes between each version (not always good changes).

So PS4 Pro is out, and it really runs stuff on 4K ? Not good, this is not good (what the russian guy said in 2012 movie)

Oh damn, after spending in total of like half a day to go through a single normal run on "Endless Legend: Tempest" (it can get pretty complex and time consuming), I find out it had a PREQUEL game in it's history called "Endless Space", which explains why some of the races on the Endless Legend planet were from space, fallen, with no ship anymore.
PS: It actually has few things which Civilisation 6 doesn't, now that I seen both, and looks less boxy/hexagonal. Has an option to make it look hexagonal though.Endless Legend without the Tempest pack:
Minor spoilers, the story beggining of each "vanilla" Endless Legend races (where one shows it came from the stars, but there's a clearer one in the expansion packs):
Their stories (and the other half of races in the expansion packs) continue and branch into different Victory options, through either "Faction" storyline quests, or wonders, or total conquest, scientific victory... etc
Like these funny fellas too:
Part of the new stuff in Tempest pack:
Now, on for the Endless Space prequel:
With "Disharmony" extension pack:
And not sure what else is there, only got to play the sequel "Endless Legend" for now.
AND
Endless Space 2 is coming, and it has an unique "twin" trailer I never seen before, as if 2 videos combined in a single one and you look at the side you like more with the mouse, the clean or infested(or harmoy or disharmony, whatever it means from the original prequel), a must watch at least.
Endless Space 2 - Early Access
Apparently the race mentioned in all 3 games, that left behind that sort of intelligent "Dust" around and already colonized space, has a complex story which is yet unfinished as it's not fully extinct, just not around anymore:
SPOILER alert though.Hope you enjoy

Stellaris is great but the performance of a 1000 star galaxy during endgame is a nightmare.
-
to hell with performance. I'm worried about the 4 empires that formed a Pact and decided to declare War with me!

About Michael's early post on MoO2
I only chose MoO2 as it was simple and easy to play. Not unlike MoO3 and others which are EXTREMELY difficult to understand
And a game I also like to play is Time Commando

strike first and take out their shipyards
dont even try to follow their attacking fleets... thats a waste of time
focus on their planets, their fleets will return to them
then try to take control over the planets of one species by bombarding them and then sending troops
if you can upkeep the pressure you can win pretty much every war and demand planets from your enemies (make sure you demand such planets which are close to your border so they dont get cut off from your territory)I had 1/3 of the galaxy (1000 system galaxy) under control with that strategy before i stopped playing due to the bad performance

i wonder if you can assimilate the entire galaxy to your empire without using military force. But like, how do you determine which planets are priority? some empires in the end game have may 10-15 planets under their control. I'm usually pretty successful in starting and finishing a war. I usually make sure my fleet is strong enough to handle the counter-attack the AI offers but end up being 2-3k more power in fleet power which seems like is enough to tip the balance of the battle in favor the of the AI

you can but thats a long progress
you have to form alliances first then make further agreements until the point where you are the leading force
then you can practically can make all decisions for the other races which belong to your groupwar is faster but still very slow
When you start a war you can make demands for the case you win the war. Usually that are planets worth up to 100 war points.
When you win the war you get these planets. But very often you are facing empires which have 30-40 planets under their control while the maximum war goal rewards you only a hand ful of planets.
After each war you are not allowed to attack that species for 10 years. So it takes alot of time winning the game even if you take the war approach.Alternatively you can turn defeated races into vassal state. That also takes alot of time.
But when done the species still has it own government and you can not do any decisions for that species, but that species will support you in all war like activities.
That works as long you are able to keep your vassal under control. They may riot if unhappy with you or if being influenced by another species.
Later on you can include your vassals into your own empire as subspecies. But that takes alot of time depending on the number of planets and general size of territory. I once included a defeated empire which took me nearly 300 years. Even when included there might be unrests and factions might emerge which try to break lose from your empire. You will have to keep them in check and eventurally use genetic manipulation to adjust the ethics and abilities.I usually started a war... took the planets... started a war with the next species... took the planets.... and repeated that until the 10 year cycle was over so I could attack the first attacked species again.

yeah. I figured out the basics of war. After i take control of an enemy planet, i work on their happiness via a Propoganda Edict or hire the right governor. I'm still going to get different factions that i have to suppress, especially when using sectors (which is AMAZING).
I chose not to enslave AI. I gave them rights. Definitely did not want a Robot Uprising and have my empire go the way of The Matrix
