hello I would like to know what is the difference between dreadnought battleship and if paying more for 100,000,000 100,000 shell is necessary (I know the Manticore the costs taken Iteron but with the characteristic of liberty dreadnought) and especially a player told me that the battleship is not too much I would like to know why?
battleship is bad?

All depends for what you want use them (DNs, BSs). They have various profiles (especially front profile is quite important), different turrets placement and only some have shield resistant to CDs. The biggest strength of these ships will show when used in group, this means you have other players in fighters as "cover" ... in these situations can be BSs or DNs truely devastating in experienced pilot hands. This apply for PvE and PvP aswell.
battleships are mostly smaller as dreadnoughts, at cost of armor and torpedo launchers. Smaller size come handy for variety of things like for example when you need pass dense asteroid field. In cases when you use this ship type for hunt some top NPCs, you may find additional hull quite handy. In PvP may be deciding if you want use this ship for "chase"/"patrol" or mainly as mobile defence.

and the shield was identical (for all bs and dn) ?

The Osiris is a good starter capital ship.
As MF said, the stats vary between ships. Just to re-iterate what he said, it depends what and how you wanna use it . Having flown at least half of the battleships in Crossfire, the Osiris, Inquistor, and the Manticore are all good starter ships if youre looking. BS's and DNs are not flying fortresses that are damn near impossible to kill (see Discovery Mod) so make sure you correctly know how to utilize the turret view
I also recommend setting up keys for manual flight on your keyboard. A moving target is harder to hit (even if that target is the size of a skyscraper)

Osiris and Virginia are both good choices. They are both CD resistant and have a good shape for navigating asteroid fields.
If you are not sure which one you need, here's a comparison of their strong points.
Battleships:
- Best for use against fighters (Inner Core, aliens)
- Small size, good in asteroid field
- Maneuvers faster than dreadnoughtsDreadnoughts
- Best for use against capital ships (X-3043, ASF/CSF)
- More firepower: two extra torpedos compared to battleships
- More armor than battleshipsBy the way, it is very advisable to install Armor class 10 on both Battleship and Dreadnought, this will increase their hull to 700.000 and 900.000 respectively.
Also, the turrets from Crossfire docks are very good against fighters (high refire rate and decent range) and decent against battleships
There are also more specialized turrets with either more range (at the cost of refire rate) or more damage (at the cost of range)
By the way, the wiki is not up to date on battleship turrets, I would just visit the places that sell turrets to be sure. -

Kusari BS Turrets. Has two barrels for x2 the damage (stats reflect single projectile)
same for liberty, bretonia, rheinland and civilian, and I believe coalition too
liberty:
1600 hull, 850 shield (refire rate 2.0)
1500 range, 1222 speedbretonia:
1000 hull, 1200 shield (refire rate 2.0)
1300 range, 1222 speedkusari:
1700 hull, 800 shield (refire rate 2.0)
2500 range, 1222 speedcivilian:
1200 hull, 467 shield (refire rate 3.03)
2444 range, 1222 speedrheinland:
2400 hull, 1000 shield (refire rate 3.03)
800 range, 1222 speedcoalition:
1800 hull, 700 shield (refire rate 2.0)
2700 range, 1200 speed -
So your best VHF can turn into spacedust in seconds

Last time I used them in 2.0 - in Inner Core on one of my ships - they were single-barreled. They were twin-linked at one point in 2.0, but an update changed that later, and I also noticed the damage difference after said update went out.
Unless another update with them came out while I didn't use any char with these turrets. -
Ok, so they were twin barreled and then went back to single barrel, without changing the damage back? that sucks, they used to have same damage as Kusari turret. Glad I'm using civilian turrets then.

kusari:
1700 hull , 800 shield (refire rate 2.0)
2500 range, 1222 speedcivilian:
1200 hull, 467 shield (refire rate 3.33)

800 range, 1222 speedcoalition:
1800 hull, 700 shield (refire rate 2.0)
2700 range, 1200 speednow per seconde
kusari:
hull:3400 shield:1600civilian:
hull:3996 shield:1555
rheinland:
hull:4800 shield:2000coalition:
hull:3600 shield:1400but the Rheinland have too short range
for me the best is civilian
-
@dark68360 I made mistake
refire rate for rheinland is 3.03 and same for civilian (not 3.33)
that gives rheinland twice the damage of the civilian
civilian:
hull: 3636 shield: 1415rheinland:
hull: 7272 shield: 3030by the way, all turrets except coalition are dual barreled so damage is x2
