We also need a style from this new site which is suitable for our smartphones or tablets... The dark one does not fit very well imo.
will take care about that later
actually i was very happy about the style in my smartphone. much better than before
On my smartphone it works fast too, however things like 'mark all as read' or moderation possibility will need some further 'work' But step by step, setting new portal with so much content like we have definitely need time ...
Looks like everyone gets their language set as German and time set as UTC. Might want to look into that. The new design is not bad. I'll probably end up liking it over the old one.
for time zone standard used is where the server is located atm
language should be detected automatically unless set different by the user
Well, both before and after relogging, the site was on german. I think there were no saved settings for this forum anymore, so default would be german.
That the "double click to mark as read" feature is still available made my day, for the bot threads with uninteresting topics for example.
thats weird...
when i installed the forum i used english as language (and have had english the default for my admin char the entire time)
Question on something different :
Today I tried to answer in THIS thread This Thud Is Slightly Sleeker .
And got in a blue info-box this message :
QuoteNeu erstelle Beiträge unterliegen der Moderation und werden erst nach einer Freischaltung angezeigt. Sie können den Beitrag bis zur endgültigen Freischaltung weder sehen noch bearbeiten.
With my written and submitted answer not mentioned or displayed
(like the "not-yet-authorised-answer"s on moddb.com i.e.)
I just wonder, 'cos it doesn't happen anywhere else (so far) to me.
edit:
Appeared JUST the moment I wrote this.
Content on news boards require activation by a staff member before being published.
While this setting is correct for threads it seems to be wrong for posts.
I just stumbled over that thread and enabled you post.
will change the settings asap
default language clearly is set to english
@OP: Roger, could've been an isolated case due to old cache still there or something, I don't know.
Animated avatars are seen properly when in my profile, as well as .gif allowed to be uploaded at Avatar Management (I just reuploaded mine and said all was correct, as well as displayed correctly in the preview), but still doesn't display the animation on here around the forum. Is it something to be fixed, or is it supposed to be like this ?
<--- the black frame is just the first frame/layer of the animation.
Martind Forlon: Good tip, thank you.
its supposed to be like that
gif does not mean animated gif
and animated gif could be a problem on large pages with lots of graphics
Good to know then
