Launcher keeps overwriting my modded INI files

Hi,

just installed CF 1.9 and found a most annoying issue with CF launcher:

whenever I edit the singleplayer INIs to change some stuff "the way I like it" ;),
they get overwritten by the friggin' CF launcher whenever I want to play a singleplayer game.

I can understand that''s necessary for MP games, but why does that launcher keep killing my "perfect" settings?

oh well, CF looked so promising, but a non-moddable SP game is a real no-go.

hope you guys fix that issue soon, meanwhile CF gets transfered to /dev/null on my system.

Messing with the files is a no-go, but there is a way obviously. If you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be modding them at all. So, good riddance I'd say

Hello LoWang,
you could just disable your internet connection before starting the launcher, then it won't overwrite any files.

Yep, just as Wanaid : no Internet connection - no file overwriting

I hope, you've read the diclaimer about makling changes to the mod during installation.

Other than that, post #6 of this thread might help you or give you some "clues".
