Wonder if they meant Chris Roberts who has nothing to do with Crossfire? It was obvious from their second reply they don't care about the International Copyright laws. They already have the "documents" in question in the form of the "Users Agreement" they had to acknowledge to download to start with!

... imo its obvious that they will need learn hard way how this all works.

I just can't believe that someone can do such a thing, but it need to have BIG consequences for this thievery

International law prevails, its called "international" for a reason, international copyrights are on a global scale, don't care if your in Sweden, Romania, Russia, Ireland, anywhere, it abides to all who use the mod and its components.

and Op, as i have read what their still writing, they done little homework on their current situation. I think you gave them enough chances and enough of your time. this is only my opinion, the actions you take and when you take them is entirely up to you. But i believe that telling them will do nothing more at this point, action may have to be taken.

There seems to be a misunderstanding. For sure we do not own the copyrights of FL. But we do with the files we create. Hours, month even years spent on some of these files. And then just someone comes and takes it.
Just imagine you build you own house and then someone comes and takes it and proclaims its his/her.

It doesnt matter when files from our mod are used then its a violation of our copyright and for sure international copyright laws. And then you could even be a close relative - copyright is copyright and even on Crimea this is valid. Its just a patetic behaviour. Unfair. Cowardly.

To "borrow" someone else's effort and to use it as study material or reference point for personal (of course with the consent of that person), I agree. But to cause others to believe that hard work and effort stolen from someone else, belongs to you ... denotes both personal and social subculture. Regardless of copyright laws or who owns or certain rights, only one person (or more = gang) which is far beyond the line between civilization and cave life can proceed in this way. This breed of "CopyPaste" survives only because not hunted by anyone and can multiply easily in the shelter offered by the intellectual cave in which he survives.In my opinion, if there are legal possibilities to annihilate these harmful species that alter the human condition ... it should be used.I posted because I've also been in the same situation (but in other circumstances) and know well the feeling.

Just down-rated this "mod" on moddb with comment ... and from what I read on theirs forum they for sure will not cooperate voluntarily.

What list is he talking about and who wants to do anything about it? They seem to be inconvincable.

Poor translation there, "fashion" actually means "mod" - they are the same word in Russian.
