Display MoreThanks a lot Michael for your advice, you were on the right path: I used a savegame with Last vanilla mission yet done.
As I don't wanted to play the first 13 Mission all again, I now loaded a savegame and did only the mission 13 again,
so the CF storyline was triggered and surprise:
It's all there what I expected of CF: Storyline, Video Sequences and Mission control with Waypoints. Yet fighted that nasty little Nomads on my Way to NB.
In the newsboard I still can see that entry "Quest: Incomming Transmition (initial quest)" of what I thinked it is the storyline of CF, this is a Bit confusing. So last Question: Will I have problems because I only did Mission 13 in CF or is it all ok when one time the storyline is triggered?
@Duck_Dodgers: Maybe I understood you wrong when you said "You did not start SP", thought you're kidding me. Sorry for that. I deleted the bad comment hoping you get back your rep point.
As OP said, it won't give problems to the extended campaign. Though you miss the modified and harder version of the vanilla campaign, in the CF universe (which still work properly, which is a rare thing
). But that's ok, if you get to survive the extended campaign without the vanilla training part, you are good to go ![]()
Just have in mind that, since there is a kind of limit for "missions" in the Freelancer engine, the whole extended campaign is in one round, so you'll have no breaks, but neither times when you need to level up with no help to get to the next mission (which in my opinion is actually great). Because of that, you can't set up your own waypoints, but you can pilot your ship anywhere, trade and get the money for better ships and equipment whenever you want. Just make sure NOT to skip any little part of the mission, like docking with a trade lane, or waiting for the NPCs when you get told to, else you may end up in the next trigger/mission part not working. Because it works as a chain of events, you skip one, the next event won't happen.
And yeah, scorpion got his Reputation points back.
You know, for "commenting privately" like that, you can also rate Positively instead of Negatively. If your comment is positive, then rate up and he gets points ( for now your points power is just 1), else, rate down (so that player will lose 1 rep point).
After you finish the extended campaign, you can always come with us on the server, and do the real thing, with real players... since there are things you can only do on the server, and never on Singleplayer.
Any other problems or questions, feel free to ask ![]()
Have fun,
-Michael
PS: And well, whenever you got a lot of people, or everyone saying something different than you, it would be time to pay more attention to each one's words to check if there's some misunderstanding going on.
Hi Michael,
I've played Freelancer for quite some time, so the dificulty of CF is no problem (til now). I made it to SOL and the Coalition Forces right now and even if the Corsairs are much stronger now I'm alive.
BTW: Why Nomads are so weak? ![]()
When I finish the Campaign, I'm interested in the Multiplayer game, but what things you can "only do at the servers"?
Maybe you have a Link for me to read more Information about that?
"PS: And well, whenever you got a lot of people, or everyone saying

YES, I will take that in mind.
If I have more questions, I ask you here or trough PM?
MP (short version)
Cooperation and interaction with others players (CF Role-play)
More chars (ship) usable by one player and you can have more IDs ... unlimited amount of chars
Banking system
Cloaking device
... this above offer endless possibilities to use own imagination and fun you can't get in SP.
Best is start exploring little, trade orr do missions and talk with ppl around. Good idea can be read stories here in role-play section. For MP is needed to know server rules. Last thing for now is about Crossfire clans and specific rules in rented systems Information: Server Clans list
That about nomads, you will see later on. They are just pets of somebody else, human kind improved, but the Nomads didn't, so they are not a threat anymore, and that allows us to go to a higher level than the pets, but to get to their creators/masters ![]()
More chars part, can also include big trains for trading, battleships, destroyers, gunboats... etc
If I have more questions, I ask you here or trough PM?
Anywhere, depends on if your question is a bit more... private, or it doesn't matter.
Ok, so I will take my time with Single Player Missions, and after that (when it becomes boring) I will try CF-Multiplayer.
Be prepared for a Question-storm
Is there a Member of the team speaking german? Guess for some tricky questions that would be good (for me) ![]()
Yes there are many, Huor, and even OP ![]()
Yes there are many, Huor, and even OP
I yet thought that, in sci-fi genre germans are ever nearby ![]()
So for the tricky things I will ask Huor or Op ![]()
Tricky things, yes, but keep them on the legal side ![]()
Tricky things, yes, but keep them on the legal side
Legal side of the Liberty Police? Maybe no.
But try to be conform with server rules as you did mean that ![]()
Well you can always ask me, i also know german (not as much as OP or Huor do but still
)
We got another pierat in our hands... we will see ourselves in glorious combat (at least for me
) in space some day.
See ya !
Think the combat needs to wait a little bit, because I'm getting stuck in the Mission where your enter Domkav space. In Wurm they cook me all the time, that gunboats (even only one) blow me away in 2 Seconds. Yet followed the Tips from Swat-Portal and buyed a Saracen, Shield Lvl10, but all I try (fight with missiles, guns only, escape) will not work. Maybe I'm a bad pilot huh?
I'm sure this mission will make me loose my last hair... ![]()
I did not count how many times I tried it, but I can't get through.
When
there are 2 DK Gunboats attacking me at the same time, I dont even have
the time to press "f" or "g" before they blow me into the space,
any advice?
Buy a mouse with side buttons. I have an old mouse with two additional buttons on right and left side, left one - bots, right one - bats ![]()

Yeah, that's a good Idea, but I don't think that will solve my problem ![]()
It won't. You just need to make sure that you can use your deff tactics fine. That means Strafe + evasive manovuers. I got attacked by 3 DK GBs yesterday in Gurm and almost got killed, but my hands are steady so i got'em quickly. Anyways my config is: Nemesis + Cataclysm + 4 Coalition Gattlings + 2 CDs + Adv. CM Dropper + Adv. Champion H.F. Shield (I think that's the name from Hiruga) + Adv. Hydroxin Thruster + Shield, Armor, Power upgrades.

go to MP...any player on CF will show u few trick in NPC combat. You need only expirience.
There will be a lot more surprises!!!
ok, made it trough that mission and now i'm relaxed in rheinland territory ![]()
That Data Disks I can sell now or do I have to carry it till end of time?
you can sell, but i prefer waiting for the right price (3x9 or 2x9 + 11 millions) ![]()
