My friend makes videos with the same program but they never take so much time to render... Maybe because he uses a smaller resolution.
Anyway, remembering your PC specifications, no operations should make you wait so long. Try changing some settings in the program (like multi-thread processing).

@ Cresthen, i use the highest resolution, but i overflow mine pc with tons of programs on, so it sometimes laggs... but i like HD quality

I have an old version of after effects somewhere..cant be arsed to go thru it all again tho.
I made a wedding video for my nephew..he was well impressed with just a few transitions. I always wanted to have a go at rotoscoping a lightsabre for myself lol..never got round to it tho.

I really like effects in "Simple Intro" ... only maybe I suggest little lower speed.
