Will Crossfire 1.9 be an "upgrade" or a completely new download?

In South Africa, the best ping ever we got was 196 with an average ping of 253, and the game is definitely still very playable.

I think packet loss and fluct are what are causing problems more than the ping itself.
Sometimes I get the game to be unplayable with lots of lag, despite having a ping around 50-60.

My average is 175 0 2. Faaby's right. The fluct is deadly.

I am Australian, along with a few friends, and the ping is rated from 350 (best ever) to 1600...
Quite crazy sometimes.
Fluctuation is usually above one, but below ten.
Loss isn't too much, but worse than most people playing.

i have played crossfire now for approximately 25hours.

graphic and the universe structure is just great.

i have played >2200 hours on HHC and Discovery Server.

In my opinion: crossfire is the best!

as i read crossfire is the most complex freelancer mod ever.. i really couldt not resist then

i really hope, player counter will increase fastly the next few months

my financial donation will come soon... (awesome work from admins here 10/10 stars)

and maybe i can bring some players from other servers.

HHC for example is "down" at the moment.

there is only flaming and hate and cheating over there

Im in Australia and have normal ping around 330 - 340 with usually 0 loss and 0-1 fluct mostly 0 with only the odd occasion being more than that... its a landline .. wireless I suspect would be very different). The gameplay against NPCs is good and I seem to do ok despite the huge ping. It does "seem" less hits are required in single player but not very noticeably. With PvP it probably more pronounced but that could also be my lack of practice too.

Im actually curious to know how the two modes are computed on the server if anyone has the knowledge /time to elaborate.

I think you find most here play in generous fashion towards each other the above example by cygna1 more the norm rather than the exception (of course pirates may prefer greater displays generosity from time to time but hey, that's what pirates do and they make the world a more interesting place)

its a great mod ..a work of art really, a good server and of course its the people on it that make it so
