hmm, I don't know if you mean something else by leasing, but if you just mean renting like serverclans do, then isn't it impossible because the CF story is there for a part? The same reason Nephele won't be rented out again.

I do believe 3 out of 4 ways to NY systems have been cut off from X 3043...this is going to be interesting.

Alaska used to be rented by DC, of course it's still available. With the practical paths to X-3043 now controled though there is going to be an even less respectful approach towards clansystem rules. X-3043 is a must and if a person isn't cleared he or she is now going to force entry rather than go clear over to Omicron Alpha to enter in through the most dangerous back door. BG has done a good job at rigorously enforcing policy, but the others need to remain vigilant or accept their powerlessness to keep unwanted pilots out.

I asked OP if SL could rent Nephele and the answer was no, because the story to get to Altair was there. So if Nephele can't be rented anymore, why can Alaska? It's the same story.
I'm not trying to ruin the party here, but I just don't get it.

Gust, I don't know why SL was denied Nephele, but maybe it was because it was because VIS already has it. Like I said though, Alaska has been rented out before so why would it be barred now? It's fair to let them have it, it just means that people need to maintain good diplomacy with at least one of the serverclans occupying the systems in question. If asking permission is too hard, you can always tresspass or go the loooong way (unless you're going through Custodian nobody will probably notice anyway)

Alaska is also a ASF system, so IF the rental is good, then it will need to be removed.

If Alaska is rented, that is a good thing for the servers future.....so look at it that way.

If Alaska is rented, then not only does it become neutral to ASF/'CSF. but Inner Cloud, also will become neutral to balance the factions' system count...

Speaking of trespassers in clan systems, there's a new character online by the name of Slick-Wilie-McGoo who delights in trading in clan systems when there's no one home to watch the gate. I confronted him in Casius and he dismissed the whole idea of clan space and refused to leave. I killed him twice and he snuck out to invade Seltos and later Purian Lake. He spent quite a while in Purian Lake--perhaps buying (stealing) a Warblade. Here's a screenshot for the Fallen clan members to view and consider.
IOC has issued a KOS for this character to teach him a lesson about violating clan systems. Anyone from MW or Fallen who wants a piece of the action is invited to join in the hunt.

ONLY WAYS to get to X are: freeport 7 and Omicron Alpha

and i do not attend to go all around just to make transfer between chars that are in X and NY/Cali
