  • To prevent bans I had to disable some server functions. That will of course have some side effects.

    Once a final solution is found, everything will be enabled again.

  • I died lastnight in my bullpup docking with jg ended up losing 2 torps a Nova and a stormshadow and lost a DK Cloak trying to go to sekar to buy the eliminator for 3 torp slot 😢

  • The next update is already being worked on.

    It will focus on the 2nd part of the workaround: removal of the LOD issue with applying a final fix. While the first part did fix playable ships, the 2nd part will deal with NPC-only ships and also solar objects. In total I expect to modify ~240 3D models.

    Also part of this upcoming update will be further hitbox improvements for ships, resulting in more consistent hit detection, better performance, and generally better game stability.

    These kinds of changes also might rebalance the ships a bit since hitboxes, of course, have an influence on how ships perform. Some less favored ships might turn out to be good options then.

    This update is most likely being released in May or early June.

    I want to focus atm on such under-the-hood improvements before I focus on new content again later this year.

  • Some modification that i would love to see .

    1st of all I'm already reading with the re-model of ships(gonna be amazing) But i hope to see new ships with an extra weapon , even if the cost is 2 billion is something that i would love to see . (Perhaps is a game changer but definitely players would hunt and farm to obtain those ships ) Surely is a good Investment of time .


    ~ Turrets ~ More turrets options would be nice especially on Dmg/speed/range of class-9 is behind with the class-10 weapons (I believe there is only 1 Class-10 , the coalition turret and is available only on the very late stage of the game . And the class-9 turret already fall apart when in late game are practically useless .

    ( Majority of time when i'm picking a ship i'm always try to pick something without turrets just because is a downgrade just by itself )


    The guns lvl 10~ I know that remodel/model and adjustment is insane hard and adding new weapons would be some nice feature for building a perfect ship (Perhaps in the late future )

    But i would love to see some new Mk III weapons and even the change of obtaining those would be insane or the requirements .

    As far as i have seen some specific ships has some % of having specific weapons. Adding a very low percentage (random chance ) and even lower change to obtain is surely something players will Hunt and even 1% to obtain or lower is something Good :D


    I don't know if those are game-breaking but something new is clearly something refreshing . ( Hopefully in the future we're going to see some class-11 weapons and some xx Ships:D )

  • I like the idea of MK III codename weapons although I think class 11 wouldn't work as highest class is 10 although I've also had few ideas like

    A new train kind of ship that could cruise at 500 to 600 and bigger cargo hold than the soulforge train maybe call it the smugglers dream :D ,on the PPC it mentions something about Battleship weapons so does that mean maybe we could get a BS Varient of the PPCs ? , self repairing armour maybe called Nanotech Armour made by the robots from same system as the monkeys could work would have to be less strong than class 10 armour upgrade for it to not be overpowered and also the idea of a Class 10 Antimatter missile with a Nuclear FX effect that does roughly 9500 to 12000 in hull damage also a class 10 homing missile similar to moonstalker and firestalker missiles could be called Sunstalker missile class 10 as the only class 10 missiles is the paralyzer which is EMP maybe these NEW class 10 missiles could be built by clans or the new alien race/monkeys/renaissance so they're more versatility between missiles as for elite ships that cost 2 billion i think it would be better to have a special class of fighters Called Eilte Fighters but to obtain an elite fighter you would have to get say 5000 or 10000 kills or a gauntlet sector with 3 to 10 systems where you would have to kill fighters in each system for certain amount of tokens UNIQUE to each individual system in gauntlet sector then when you have enough tokens you could be beamed by an admin to buy one of the Elite ships as a reward on that character but it could be controlled by Serverside software so that noone can purchase said fighters unless you fall within the criteria for the ship or you would have to get so many kills in each gauntlet system to be able to dock at the end of gauntlet systems to get the Elite ships now for these Elite fighters i would have a few different ones for choice so for one , 6 class 10 weapons and 1 class 10 turret fast turn rate not as fast as say a chimera or a lagg 550 to 600 on cruise speed and stronger PowerPlant like an elite deimos

    One could have 5 class 10 weps 1 class 9 9000 to 9800 armour and very fast turn rate with 550 to 600 cruise speed also could have freighter upgrades similer to BS Upgrades

    (Engines) cruise speed 600

    (Power) more power to powerplant

    (Cargobay) increases cargo hold by 1000 or by 50% i think percentage would work better as there are many freighters with various sizes 😄

    And I would also really love to see the shroud get its old red engines back :D

  • I know this probably isn't the place for suggestions not sure where to post it really any i know I've probably posted quite a few ideas but atleast take some under consideration lol but at the end of the day they are after all just ideas and we could always do with some fresh ideas although I do really appreciate the amount of time work and effort you've put into this mod hence why I always keep coming back been my favorite since 1.6 crazy to think I begun playing this mod all those years ago with my father truly greatful to you and the rest of the guys at Swat I wish I could help out with modding coding and modeling but unfortunately I never managed to learn any of it as much as I'd love to it can be hard with ADHD to concentrate on anything for long lol but I'm always happy to contribute ideas even donate when my debts finally improve 😊 you deserve all the help you can do but I know I like to do as much of it yourself as you can I personally think you enjoy the challenge lol if I come up with more ideas I'll try write them down and when I figure out where ideas and suggestions belong ill be able to post them 😊

    One of the thing's i would like to consider is to add some Ships with 500-600 cargo space at some earlier zones .

    In all my gameplays i could never been able to play with trading since Pilots farm is 10x better than trade routes.



    I Believe a remodel on cargo space for ships could be changed since the economy has been dramatically changed due the high sell- of pilots + effort .

  • I also like the idea of being able to buy different engines for your ships so you could change the colors and sounds of them but not the speeds might add a bit more customization so you could buy rheinland bretonian kusari liberty Order civilian borderworld coalition Renn Nomad Hybrid or DK hybrid engines and maybe a few custom new ones ? Maybe could be something down the pipeline ?

    Indeed , this is what i was trying to say (perhaps i didn't write quite well)

    I have more than 10 chars and no matter how many tries for a new aspect of gameplay , is just not possible .


    And if we talk about middle-late game when you obtain some T10 ships ~ (Basically you can buy some early ships for 500k with 4x10 weapons ).



    At the point you have the wealth to buy those Transport/Ships it means you can easily farm millions already from the pods/prisons .



    Also the majority of those transport/ships requires planet mooring-fixture and only few of stations you can actually interact , leaving even less options .

  • Ok, beginners guide :-). First kontakt experienced player , they will help you getting a neutral reputation. Then maybe ask for good trades and wait till tour strts (Info /gti). then /jontour. Then enter as much systems during tourtime as possible, each system gives you 1mil instant reward. After 2 or 3 days you will have enough credits for bigger frighter.

    Trader and smuggler don't need weapons, ships can have only weak weapons and weak shield, if you kill npcs you ruin your reputation, your best weapon is a neutral reputaion.

    So decide what you wanna be, a good trader/smuggler or a good pod hunter, very difficult to be both with one char.


    If your smuggling and npc police catch you , run, don't fight, reason above.

    atm. tour doesn't work cause of a hardware servercrash some weeks ago, op will fix this asap.

    Also I've noticed the lexicon Displays PPCs as 1500 range but in game it shows 1200 although has made me think if the ppc did have a range of 1500 it would make it a viable choice again and might help pick it up abit as its sheild damage is lower than say therhons DKA Nysos I actually think ppc with range of 1500 could actually work out if people like the idea of it 😉


    Btw do weight reductions actually make your ships turn faster ?
