Just to mention, when I encounter a problem with the game, I usually do a clean uninstall and then reinstall. Now when I reinstall Crossfire, it takes forever to update, 5920 files to be exact. Is there any way to integrate those files into the installation itself, i.e. to update the installation package? It wouldn't be a problem if the update didn't take 5 times longer than just downloading the installation package for the simple reason that it updates one file at a time. I think someone has already asked this question, but I don't remember who or if anyone answered it. Maybe even me, but I don't remember.

There are tools that can do that, showing maps of sectors providing the different spots of interest. But I will not post that in publicity. One aim of the game is exploring 😏😉

I see i have no problem with that exploration is fun.

Sirius Sector Map and Region Listing ... here one older post which can come handy.

Yep nothing gained if i do that on any resolution infact on biger resolutions image is smaller :D I understand how you do it but i think there is no other way to do it. If there is only a way to pull the picture from game files all problems solved but there isn't, even if it is some way i don't know how :D

i dont think that shader can cause connection issues

I don't think that also but there is a fact that when using opengl shader my pings where rly bad and fluctuating but when i changed to dx shader where good. It's possible that the change itself affected it, I haven't tried to go back to opengl again, I'll try tonight when I get home from work. Believe me, I didn't believe when I switched that it could affect network problems, but somehow it worked. In any case, I will gladly go back to opengl because it looks really good and I will use it for sure when I play SP, great job indeed. I am not an IT expert and my knowledge in that field is more or less basic, I leave it to the real experts to analyze the problem if you consider it necessary. In the end it's obviously just my problem so it doesn't really matter.

Ok the solution was quite simple i swich shader from opengl to directx v1 and pings was rly good sry for the trouble. I was rly liked opengl, game was looking awesome but cant use in MP only SP

Maybe it will all change when i get optic network right now its 350 meters from my home but like everything in this country process is slow and i dont think ill get anything before i "greese" them up some how or found a "guy" who pulls the strings if you know what i mean

No cos the main WDSL router is on the other side of house however i can connect my computer directly to the PLA and use second router as repeater. I dont think my network configuration is a problem but ill try that. All that is equipment set by my ISP and i can't change that even if this is a shitty equipment.

Ok first two is local network in most cases actually in 99.9% its 1 ms only the first run of the test is high naturally. You r right it's DSL router conected to another router in my workshop where is computer thry PLA it's hard line not wireless as you can see in most of the cases my local network run fine but this hop 9 is 99% down. I dont think my LAN cousing the problem but im open to sugestions. Here fresh test

    1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.2.1

    2 4 ms 2 ms 4 ms 192.168.1.1

    3 17 ms 18 ms 16 ms 178.220.0.1

    4 17 ms 17 ms 16 ms 212.200.176.9

    5 20 ms 20 ms 20 ms 212.200.7.70

    6 21 ms 21 ms 19 ms beg-b2-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.161.34]

    7 32 ms 33 ms 34 ms win-bb2-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.140.138]

    8 40 ms 43 ms 40 ms ffm-bb2-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.138.22]

    9 * * * Request timed out.

    10 46 ms 47 ms 45 ms 80.95.153.134

    11 48 ms 47 ms 50 ms static-ip-80-86-86-8.inaddr.ip-pool.com [80.86.86.8]

    12 47 ms 49 ms 52 ms malta2462.startdedicated.de [85.93.88.94]

as you can see local is fine but hop 9 again fails
    Do you need more details?

You can see that hop 9 as i suspected timed out and its consistent like every time i run test. Latency is reasonable but potentially high. I know obout this command but i didn't know IP

I remembered why I rarely play MP because I have lag 99% of the time spent on the server and min. 30% of the time the game is literally unplayable. Now maybe it's my geographic location, maybe it's my ISP, although I don't have problems with other games, for example. Dota2, LOL, CS2, War zone with the simultaneous use of Discord, all competitive games that require a good ping (my son plays most of them, he says that his pings are good. I personally only play Dota, also excellent pings). It is less likely that it is my computer because my FPS is always above 140. When I ping in the game most of the time it is over 100, while the fluctuation is at least 20 and the packet loss is over 10%. Now I know that a good server is expensive and that maybe people who spend time on it should donate a little more and that I shouldn't complain about something that is literally free to me. Maybe the server is good, but for some reason I can't use it to the maximum, so maybe someone has a solution for my problem. And I also wonder if other people in the community have a similar problem.

Guys i respect your experience but you slightly getting off of theme here. This post is being obout maps not reputation :D But ty for insight. I can go explore all maps in SP cos i can just turn on godmode and ez explore all. Only thing that is going to be missed is clan bases cos they don't show in SP someone with more experience in MP can fill in blank spaces simple as that :D . I would rly like to do that but my time is limited to few hours or less by day that is why i search for an easy solution Martind Forlon did a great job with curent maps and when i see what kind of job is that i respect him even more. Im not lazy tried to explore 1 system for start but my game keep crushing on me cos i tried to set resolution not native to my screen. Recently changed my GPU but forget to put it on the list like previous and i loose almost 2 hours of traveling thry the entire map just to end with game crush on me ill try to fix that and explore more simple system. Thank you all for trying to help me i rly respect that

It seams there is a lot of work nvm the mp or sp way to do it but i figure it out just remove names add collor dot at the exact location and add text under or above dot simple, This way you dont need better quality of images. You can also set diferent collor of dots for diferent objects like red for jump holes etc...

Yeah i see the problem in most cases names hides exact position of items on the map. That is why i sugest something like markers with exact possition even if that covers the text. Ok i will try to run game in 4K and see the diference in quality. Need to start campaign and decline one of the missions that alows free exploration. Reason is obvious for example some of the enemy inner core systems cant be explored in multyplayer i cant survive long enough to explore :D. For start if i have the time ill explore 1 system and provide you image. Im not that good with image editing but i will try.

Ok I know someone put a lot of effort into putting the maps in the lexicon and I shouldn't complain about such a trivial thing. Namely, the text with the description on the map often does not show the exact location of what I am looking for, say jumpholes, bases, battleships, etc. For smaller things, could the author place a marker, say a dot in a visible color. Also, some maps need an update, some positions are out of place. I know that the one who installs the map must have researched every part of all the systems then hit F6 then take a screenshot and then process the photo and add text. I also think that the maps should be placed in a slightly better resolution, I think that we all have solid computers for a better display of the map. In this way, it would make it easier for new pilots to navigate through the game, and it would also make life easier for me, since I use maps a lot, but unfortunately my memory is not what it used to be. Finally, if you need any assistance, I can help as much as my free time allows, only if someone explains how, thanks in advance

I believe that he can try and test the changes on SP, he just needs to avoid the update while the testing is going on, he can also make a backup of the same changes if he likes the results and suggest it to the modding community. So if something good comes out of it, why not. I think any help is welcome, so since I have no idea about coding and would really like to help, I welcome any initiative from someone who knows.

Hello, first of all, I don't think I'm competent to talk about this topic because I didn't participate in the creation of the mod itself. But I couldn't resist the urge to respond to your post because I myself like to play Single Player from start to finish from time to time. Of course, other ships, other ways to complete missions, endless grinding of money (you can do that easily if you have the nerve to pod) for weapons and upgrades and finding loopholes in the system to get to VHF and level 10 weapons very quickly. In fact, I succeeded already after the mission in the California system. I wouldn't want to spoil it for someone who wants to play the campaign for the first time, so I won't go into details. Regarding the bug that can't seem to be solved, escorting the convoy to the Order base on Mars is enough that when the leader goes crazy, get out of the formation and gently push him to the direction he should go and return to the formation. Although there are a few bugs and illogicalities, this mod can compete with many AAA titles in terms of stability and creativity, even though it was made by enthusiasts without any compensation. Maybe I've never mentioned this, but I'm grateful first to SWAT_OP-R8R and also to the other good people who participated in the creation of this mod, that team made my life better. So THANKS again guys. And I agree with you, the game lacks a little more opportunity for a little exploration, less after the vanilla campaign, more in the vanilla phase itself.
