Is a feature (active from yesterday)
-
Ahhh... ok ... Case close then i guess ...
-
it prevents ppl from depositing all their money in order to hide it from RP. this was the best solution we found out yesterday. well, i prefered 67 mill. but 65 is ok too. maybe later it can be adjusted in details.
-
Well, in that case ... i have to agree then ... hehehe ...

wasn't it supposed to be just covering the value/cost of your ship and equipment? I read that somewhere in the thread of RP changes. (you need enough money to cover the cost of your ship and equipment or something simlar)
So, if you fly a cheap light fighter, you can have a few hundred k, and if you fly a battleship, you'll need 65 mill?
I think it makes no sence for an absolute newcomer with 5 low cost ships (some low class fighters and freighters), to be required to fly around with 65 mill on each char because he simply doesn't have it...
I take it that this is just the experimental stage
just my 2 cents, but let server decide the amount based on the cost of your ship, so you'll need like 100k on starflier, 20 mill on a vhf, 280 mill on dreadnought. (just an example) -
No, players hide money no matter what ship they fly or if they are newcomers or veterans. As its an player wide account bank this can be abused.
With 65 mio must stay on char so the rp rewards are not to low and players are motivated to do rp instead to hide money on other chars or low level chars. -

if I understand you right, newcomers will have to make 65 mill with just one char before they can transfer money to another new char. very clever idea
it's not about RP here, it's about newcomers who don't have 65 mill. Please consider making it variable. The avarage VHF is worth about 30 mill, the avarage dreadnought about 150 mill (look at your current worth in a vhf char in F8 - stats menu, then substract your money from that, then you get the cost of your ship, equipment and cargo). Or did you let go of the idea that your money should cover the cost of the ship and equipment?

No 65 mil. must remain on any char, no matter if newcomer or veteran. When new players dont have more than 65 mil on their char, then they cant store money on the bank. But where is the problem? The money is still saved on your char and with that can be considered for RP. Its cleverPlease consider making it variable. The main idea for this increasing limit is that players dont hide money on their account and so purposely fly through the universe with lower ranks.

Per char is really a lot. I have 4 of them and for all of them few millions each. Would mean that I would need to trade for ~60 millions more until I can start funding someone else. Idea was to fund the fun ones with the trade one. Hm.
-
... we are talking here ONLY about banking limit ... try think little about this.
-
I'll try... but anyway we are still in Beta.

where is CF's n00b friendlyness? you make it so that a newcomer in a starflier can not deposit his cash to start a second char, until he reached 65mill. I can not follow your logic in that. (and in case I did get your logic right, then I disagree with it) Please reconsider -
how long does it take to make 65mio these days?
1-2 hours?

Hello,
can one still transfer money between chars using the old pre-1.9 way (by trade request + help of another player)?- Wanderer -
-
What did I wrote above? ... ONLY for banking. You ofc can still use transfer. Use limit for banking (deposit) was necessary bcs it allows instant way how to hide moneys = abuse it.
-
No wanderer meant the old school way. Player interact with each other instead - but thats not common today in an MMO ;D
-
I know ... I meant transfer by trade request

I just got a question.
What's the big deal about it?You can't deposit cash into your bank account until your char exceeds 65mil.
Well. 65 mil credits is not that much to gather, once you actively participate in RP, events, missions ect pp.
Yes, there is a slightly chance of risking to "lose" a bit of credits when you encounter other players with different intention than yours. On the other hand. Why would you want to establish another char/ship/vessel (you name it) when you barely can afford the maintaining of your first one?
(this question does pop up in my head as soon as I read that 65 mil minimum balance on the char is too high, since some people have less credits on there, but desperately want to have another "new" char build instantly.)Do you always try to make the 2nd step before the 1st one?
One step at the time, I got told at one point in time. That's just my 1.5 cents.
