Did you save your FL ID ?
If you was made char in MP with this name, and after reinstall you did't whrite your ID then you can't use it anymore, because the name already exist. -
Not necessary: ID is lost only if Windows account is F.U.B.A.R. I have checked it

the admin could and would if the admin would know the exact char name

done but it might take till the next server restart till you can use it again

You means how char looks (appearance)? ... this can be done only when is started mod activation - one from choices is also for change Trent outfit. ... at least I do not know about easier way how to do this. This means that you will need "reinstall" mod (check FAQ please how to do this right way)

Only way I could think of (instead of reinstallation) : edit/change/tweak/mod some files as well as .ini files in the DATA Folder in your Freelancer now Crossfire installation.
But ... pls don't ask me which ones, I really don't know. (never took a deeper look into this only that it's NOT easy editing
)And ... even though it would only have an effect the chars appearancce in SP/aka what you see on YOUR screen without effects to MP,
you shouldn't do this (modding the mod, remember the 'legal disclaimer' during installation ?
)
