  • im at the part

after 2 weeks our fleets are jumping back to sol, our objective is to bring down that nomad strike carrier and all nomad forces near the area

    Objective:
    launch into space

then i did... wanna know what i saw? nothing is moving.... even my torpedoes are stuck in place after i launched it
what is wrong with the CF story

  • weird, looks like your graphic cant handle this part. Never heard this before.

  • during that time, i also found another osiris ship 300k away, went to that ship and was fighting the nomad striker, couldnt kill the striker as i was simply shooting trough it instead i let it kill me, loaded my save and the game crashed.

opened and loaded the game again and everything is fine as normal.

i have good pics later for you guys to see on the things that went wrong on the CF story, and no its not the graphics, i can play skyrim and borderlands 2 no problem and this is a 10 year old game.

why cant i take a break from the main CF story from time to time? its not giving me time to explore the new systems given
and because of the CF missions handle the waypoints i have lost the ability to make my own waypoints

  • Y u need that break? You WILL take it... after the end of the storyline :)

"Across the savage skies and through the fissures in the fields,
The rumble of the engines and the trundle of the wheels,
Through hell and horror trudge and yet their spirits never yield.
Will they sing of these forsaken pawns of war?"

  • Just stop trying to go to your own places or to try trick the game, and start listening to the "instructions" or Juni's orders as what a real "hired" fighter would act. What's the realism in "Help !! We are getting attacked by Nomads and we have critical damage !!" and you answer "Wait a minute, gotta see if there's something nice in this station here first, and search for a girlfriend on that planet over there, and I'll maybe go shopping in the next system here." ... :D

When in Sol, you are supposed to undock FROM that Osiris you saw next to the Carrier, not some other place. Such bugs as freezes or wrong place spawning never happened (there did were reports of the game crashing after killing the strike carrier, but no one said he couldn't hit the strike carrier or spawned in a wrong place, and for sure people report if something is wrong).

To solve it, I think you should redo from a save in the vanilla story like before Mission 13. You didn't got to follow the story until outside Sirius yet, so you are not that far in the campaign, still time to restart the CF part ^^ Since I am not sure where it messed up, and you could have more issues in the next parts.

  • for starters is mission after mission after mission... why is it not after (a break after the end of the chapter) i reach lvl 18 or something then a mission/chapter will start

oh and what areas are locked if i didnt finish the vanilla story? (i know hyperion is locked atleast)

  • because the game engine has a limited amount of "conditions" that can be used in story mode

while the vanilla storyline has already used most of these conditions already all the other missions are limited to what is left unused (and that is not much).

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

  • ok, cant do

    best-path waypoints
    taking breaks in-between chapters

got it, what else are the engines limitation?

  • Not much is left, at least nothing that is a problem for players.

Singleplayer storyline was always a problem, which is why there are no mods with such feature, instead, there are mods with no singleplayer at all, removed.

I think you are able to go anywhere in Sirius if you use New London -> The Corridor system and keep heading on until you arrive to X3043, which is connected with over 20 systems and has a short path to every major house system.

Anyway, if you wanted the Coalition Gattling guns, you will be able to get them once you reach Coalitioin space, going in the way you are instructed to do by your lovely Juni. :D Well, Junni's sexy outfits are to make her more interesting depending on the type of player you are. The campaign leads you to every place you need, to assist you in a trip around Crossfire, and a bit of history that players can't really know when only playing on the server. You will have enough time to explore later, this is not a game you can "finish" when you are over with the campaign, there's too much more to it. So just attend the emergencies when you are called to them (there is a major emergency which is the reason you are headed there after going past Sol, so there's no "free time" between missions), then you will have your free time when it's over :D Crossfire 2.0 will bring the last chapter in the story, so it's not really "over" until then, meanwhile, you can learn even more on the server with us ;)

Does not explains though why I hate her so much (or at least wishing that one day she'll leave me alone and let me wander around this freaking universe).
Back to topic: when you'll be reaching no-return point, you should be all set already. Except for the ship (I don't know is it possible to take a turn to Pawlowdar Station and land there while in Vorkuta, to get the ship of my dream) and guns.

  • You need visit in campaign first Dervon and pass this part before you can (in one piece :)) reach IC gate in Omega-3 .

  • Inner Core is in the campaign, so again, just follow the storyline, and you will see every sector and main systems and places. After going through the Coalition space, beyond Earth/Sol, you will get escorted to Inner Core and learn about what happens there, who are the bad guys, and the good guys, etc.
