Thx for info Ben. I only wonder if (or maybe better question is when) will be worth upgrade from win7 64 bit (I mean if it is like move from winXP to win7?). MS before always needed some time to 'tune' theirs new systems to be widely usable (drivers, older HW/SW requirements etc.)
hmm ... maybe they learned? (miracles happen )
btw: how it is with megaroids? normally visible or you needed also update your gk info?
thats good to know
my main concern about it would the conflicts with the graphic interface of the OS just like we have with AERO now and if i need/can bypass that via registry changes during installation (just like it is done atm with win7)
yes, aero does conflict with CF
Hi OP
You can see my signature at the bottom and that is my computer hardware. In my instance, I did an UPGRADE and not a NEW INSTALL of Windows 8. That may have a bearing on the graphic drivers.
Forlon The reason I upgraded was to test my development environments and my software I produce to make sure they work on Windows 8.
Facebook and Windows 8 / IE 10 does have some problems, but I am not a great face-booker, so no problem for me.
Swat-portal.com and Silverarrowsclan.com websites works just fine in IE10.
My installations of CF and FL is in the c:\Freelancer directory and not in c:\program files\freelancer.
Hope this help someone.
Kind Regards
Crossfire, with Freelancer, works with anything Microsoft done
Well, good news for us.
Other fans have to see their games being destroyed by anything newer than XP, or worse, anything later than Windows 95 98
you say FL runs on Win 3.x ??? Has that been proven yet?
Imo i dont see any reason to bring the next Windows version into the market. The industry (except the consumer market industry) hasn't yet completely switched to Win7 and it just produces more and more work - i believe the industry mainly will step over this version as it has no big advantages. I for instance would more look for increasing integrity and security risks than release a new OS every two years.
I totally agree.
The same with all the new versions of their software development tools.
I get the feeling they want to make it so difficult to create competing products that most will just give up and get on the bandwagon.
