Sorry for posting in the wrong area

  • I am sorry for posting in the wrong area when I posted in the server clan rules area.

I was not looking where I was posting and did not do this intentionally.

The reaction to that post is just however another example of why so many people avoid the swat forum.

    Kind Regards

  • OMG, now people even excuse themselves posting in - from their point of view - wrong forums...
What shall we do now with this thread here?

Riebens: There are people here dont knowing how to use search, post questions that have been answered, starting threads with the same question that is already top most question on the forum. Well just forget about it and everything is fine^^ We dont need to make it worst than it is, do we? Arent there not much bigger concerns than that?

Somehow i have the feeling i dont understand the world today anymore...

Raiden: You are already posting, Congrats ;D

  • Huor, they are getting used to be in danger when doing any small thing wrong.

  • Maybe with this idea in your mind, you may understand part of my 3 main(big) posts in the jobs for next 2 months thead... of why there are over 100 members reading but only kinda 7 vote, all on daily.
Some people can "appear" to be fair or objective, but try correcting something they said in a positive way and see their reactions. After doing it to Abras I won't think of that again soon...

  • maybe because for the rest 93 people their keyboard isnt working?
If people would feel in danger getting priced on what they post - then you might tell me why people post all day on facebook - millions of post each day - all either totally useless, some are freaking stupid and a further heap of post just to waste storage ... No it must be something else.

  • the answer is easy: on FB you aren't limited to just some mates, and loosing them cus somebody put your words in "bad lights" is impossible in FB. the posts and stuff ar eso many that you don't care if somebody insults you, you can also delete his comments on your stuff and put him on ignore(which is not a good idea with a limited mmebers community).

You seen that a speech between 2 or more people usually ended(not "ends" in present form as it's less often lately, no many speeches) in some level of a conflict here. The clans which prefer to post in their own forum and keep more or less distant from swat(which are several) do that because noone will attack them in their own place, and if yes, they have the choice on cleaning the negative posts.

  • i dont see a conflct - sorry. Its just two minds - unrated. Its what people make out of it - usually something more worst than necessary.
And whats wrong with if clan players post in their forum if its about clan stuff - that has nothing to do on the public SWAT forum and honestly i am not that much interested to know whats going on in PX, SA, SMG and all the other clans.

Hence and with that to the topic. An excuse from Riebens wasnt really necessary and that what followed it. But he is old enough and so be it...

  • So another thread, same topic and same people.

A guy post, theres no respect for opinions, flames everywhere, off topic, inquisition guys come clean the threads :strafe: .

let me guess tomorrow another thread same topic and same people...

  • And i cant figure out what was wrong on Riebens post

Thats the point Huor - there was nothing wrong with the post that Riebens made - I would rather suggest the original post that Riebens commented on to be remove, as there are points in that post that conflit with what OP clearly stated should not be posted. And if arrangements like that was discussed and made with OP I would expect OP to put out the notice on the forum and not one of the clan members of that system, as OP is the guy that makes the rules of the server.

Now because of all this "sensitivity" there is again - he said he said - tipe of posts what is not suppose to be on this forum and the wrong person is looking like the "bad guy" once again.

  • I read posts in clan system area. Yes they were on wrong place but there was also little mess with placing system rules on different places and in copy ... normal situation to solve for mods ;). When I saw this thread I spent more than 2 hours on forum in night to try figure out what was going on ... I even send some PMs to try solve this. I want pls all involved to take deep breath and try move forward. There was absolutely no wrong intentions in Rieben posts and is really not needed have 'bad guy' feelings.

  • Riebens did nothing bad with that post... it was more complicated than it appeared.

But the inquisitors are the ones who make people shake at any small mistake, or listen somebody's orders of "not to post" in a public thread cus he wants it so.

Huor: with the point about clans, I meant they don't even check Swat(usually 1 or 2 does) for having a safer place to post. And that isn't helping in between clan operations or unity.

  • Inquisitors is a pretty hard expression for people which just do their job.
While it can happen by accident that posts are done in the wrong place (and i believe that this is the case with riebens) many threads were posted in the wrong place because ppl did simply not care to post them in the correct place.
Ive spent 2 weeks cleaning this forum and moving +1500 threads to the correct boards. A job that could be avoided by the thread starters.
The Moderators just do their job (which is not easy). And considering that over the past year they have cleaned ~400 threads they do a good job as no new player wants to read through 10 pages of spam to find one valueable info on an official thread.

I have to agree with both, and to tell that as much as i know Riebens i don't think he do it with intentions, after all we need to take a look at his "apologize topic".This kind of ppl are usually very shy, very well-mannered and with high level of responsibility.More to that i think he is at the bottom of the list of ppl here who need to be criticized in that manners!

  • Again, Riebens did NOT do something wrong with that post, the thread wasn't a real systems rules one , because only exists 1 official thread for each clan which is pinned as "important". And that thread was just a kind of 3rd thread copy of a clan's rules... posted by somebody who wasn't the clan leader(but I guess representant or maybe new leader, or none).

But the WORST part is that 10 minutes after making this thread Riebens made the "Thx for all the fish" thread where he announced he abandons the SWAT Portal (posting on it) to use the time in a "better way.
But I don't think it was a coincience... @First post here:

The reaction to that post is just however another example of why so many people avoid the swat forum.

SWAT_OP-R8R: But I think the real, pinned Clan system rules thread could be Locked (the creator could edit his post, or ask any mod/OP to open it), and the rest of "copies" and stuff, as they have no restrictions, could be used for discussing those rules in another section, or removed.

  • I was just reporting what I seen... not "rumors".

But anyway, we have to change this situation, no matter the cost for me. Maybe this isn't the case, but I've seen several other people leaving cus of people who take things too serious as they told me, and I stil lsee 100+ members visiting daily, but just very few posting.
