    When it comes about instalation:
    I never messed with my game files so everything is fine here! 8).


    Server overall stability:
    Game running so smoooooth but with 7-10 ppl online! :thumbup:


    Game engine
    OP was able to put FL game engine to the limits one more time! :wissenschaftler:


    RP
    NPC's Affilation great thing-IMO so far! :applaus:


    Other New things in this mod:

    Game mechanic is fucked up!
    Ship traces sucks and now u can not know what is ur manvur in the middle of the PvP all the time this looks like u are in EK mod=WTF??...idk who brought that idea at the day light? sucks IMO! BIG minus! :thumbdown:


    Ship speed in EK mod is reduced!
    Gongrats now u can not run from annoying Nomad's flock!(p.s. u can remove shields and armor upgarades ;))Not to mention IC alliens... :negativ:

    How about to let ppl trade normally instead to put paranoid restrictions at every step? :huh:

    Again there is no any explanation about set up.I know u can say: different PC config different set up would apply for, but was there a special effort needed to write few words of explanation in additional? Like u do in 1.82 for gc main set up: "Activate (this is for old graphic cards-128mb RAM) and Deactivate if u have newer gc" ?(

    That is the weight of the ship and the equipment that causes a more 'real' behaviour ... I LIKE IT .... :thumbsup:


    (I wish all guns could be fixed mount to shoot only in the direction the ship points ... :D now THAT would be fun)

    About Train


    I have been trading more in the train (soulforge) these last few days that in the whole of 1.82 ... and now you have to THINK before you act due to the extra weight when fully loaded ... I LIKE IT :thumbsup:


    Increased payouts for Level42/43 missions


    This is definitely one of the better adjustements ... Imagine 970K for the mission and 15 100K Lts .. Missions are back big time ... :thumbsup:

    I agree..can be vague and if you don't know the terminology, then you may have to experiment by setting up more than once. :|

  • I may be wrong....theres always "new math" but




    flight mechanics seem really odd to me...I get that things were trying to make mass of ship more real but.....unless "new math" has something different...I always heard that mass in motion tends to stay in motion...mass at rest tends to stay at rest. So, why does engine kill = putting on the breaks? I could understand it being harder (slower) to get large ships moving forward as well as stopping slower and turning being more difficult. To me it feels like my light heavy fighter is flying under water, theres always resistance.....but aren't we flying in space?

    I player the SP all the way......absolutely well done!! If anyone ever has a hard time following the CF storyline....they just have to play SP and enjoy. :thumbsup:




    Considering the amount of new game changes, I'm surprised that the CF team was able to release the game in my lifetime. I'm sure that once the final bugs are worked out and the latest release goes public again...you will all be absolutely impressed!!!!

    unequiped ships are even more agile than in CF1.82
    with basic equipment they have exactly the same mass and inertia settings
    only when you add heavy armour your ship handling gets worse


    next to that... nothing has changed


    i also can not understand the comment about trains at all
    if you want a train with 10000 cargohold which acts like a fighter then go to a server where you can cheat
    here the markets were balanced based on the trains and the profits are pretty high
    + there are additional ways of making money

  • Actually i am talking about traces that stays behind ur ship and when u turn ur ship left or right or u want to perform round manuver above ur head, in 1.9 the trace will looks like u fly straightway (in 1.82 traces were "realistic" even though we had discussion about aero-traces in a space..lol u remember right? ;))

    I removed armor from Predator...and I have to agree that it flies about the same as in 1.82, more agile than 1.82?...havent found that yet. I'm still not sure how adding mass and then killing engine = I put the breaks on but ok. I decided to see if adding weight reduction does anything....but that doesnt = lighter fighter/faster handling, just less cargo capacity. I'm sure in the end, all things will have the balance you were trying to achieve :) I find that fighting the ancients without armor I don't last as long...lol. Much like in SP, I'm gonna be running scared thru IC and see if I can make it :) Now if I could find an escort to hire^^

    Edit...just incase I don't know what I mean...further testing...when I start new char...the ship indeed acts quick and agile...i made enough to buy a defender (no upgrades) f


    From full thrust hit engine kill...back to stock speed less than 1 sec...from cruise hit engine kill = back to stock speed 1.5 sec thats what I mean by feels like hitting the brakes...theres no drifting....same with strafe thrusters.

  • I personally like it the way it has been done.


    Mass affects the behaviour of your vessel, which is even more realistic then it was before.


    Different commodity requires different cargo space now, which I think, is also great. (Paper sheets are smaller than niobium blocks ;) )


    Ways to earn money via missions, absolutely great. lvl42/43 missions are worth about 1mil, plus the loot you get (pods, weapons, ect.)
    Escape Pod's Rewards? wow.. Now its definetaly worth it to kill those NPC-caps in X-3043


    There are only a few things I'm kinda disappointed (or I would have expected something stronger)
    Purchasing the Celestis Battleship for 140 million credits.
    Figuring that even lvl3 NPC's (4 of them) take down your shield within 30 seconds
    Where you didn't even get a scratch on your shield at a equipped VHF before.


    And what I experienced for all ships so far. The "weakest" Cruise Distruptor take you out of cruise speed and they hit at the first try. No matter what angle, what speed and how many CM's you've "lost" to get away.
    But ok. thats something I (personally) can work with.


    Running from NPC's with EK? Why? Arent they hostile for a reason? So, just face them and kill ;)


    One more odd thing I discovered.
    In Inner Core (Venn, when comming from Inner Core)
    The crystal field, where you were pushing the rocks away easily, you get flipped now like crazy, from all Rocks your vessel comes in touch with. No matter what ship or how small the rock is.
    Seems to me, like they have their "fixed" route to float and push away all ships on the road. Even when you stand still (not moving, not even engine turned on) they appear and flip you completely, pushing you out of the way, where they (usually) did bounce off your vessel before.


    But there does nothing beat the graphic enhancement.

  • Probable heavy rocks then^^ It must not be big in size or large in volume to be heavy in order to push away incoming vessels on their tour through space ;D
    I don't have that much game play experience until now - but the astonished and partly revamped textures and effects are really worth a look! And finally the new features that have been implemented for MP part (unfortunate I am still a little exterminator to find all those little bugs floating around ;))

  • your ships weights what? 5 tons?
    those rocks easily have 20-50 tons

  • The only thing that I don't like with train is that it's very hard to fly in asteroid fields (it was hard in 1.82, but now.... I was not able to fly 20k in Magellan's asteroids; tried to wait few minutes to let autopilot fly to NY gate (20k)-after few minutes I was in 23k from the gate... Tried manually-same thing.)

  • which means that trains have to use the official routes... which means that pirates can wait there... which means that cops will hunt pirates... which means that mercs might escort either trains or do other job along those routes

  • @Andreask: not possible for all ships and also not optimal for all situations ... and this is perfect bcs it mean that now not exist universal guide what is perfect and ppl will need yourselves try what fit for them best and for what they want different equip use.
