Please add golden and silver special ships which can be bought only for merits in PvP combat.
Money isnt everything you know, and it would be a major boost for RP PvP.
Or, add those ships, but make them so bloody expensive u have to trade and trade and trade for them... more traders... more pirates... balance back to the server (cops overrunning atm).
Special ships are a must be people... I may not be favourite among you, but I am a true Freelancer fan and a regular player for quite a few years, and a teen (18ys)...so my opinion is kinda... general, or at least it should be^^.
YESSS for special golden/silver ships. They would also look the coolest and be agile and sharp and deadly.
And 1 more suggestion apart from ur usual modelling and programming work: we need more versions of lvl 10 armor and weapons.
Last note: Make more "best" ships, cuz if there is one the best ship, everyone is flying the same one (Lagg atm), and kinda puts all your work on other ships to waste...
All ships should be equal... if not in agility, then those ships which arent that agile should, i dunno, have a lot more hull to even up the odds in combat... so ppl dont only choose all the same ship.

all ships with same armor and angular speed is not everything... shape and size counts, it is impossible to make all ships equally "fair" for a fight
special ships gained through PvP combat is a bad idea because those who are skilled in PvP will get these ships and own other pilots even more easily... thats a bit boring
and no, PINK ships/missiles/guns...

If so, I think it wont be a bad idea to check the mining system as a another way to earn some cash
Wish list for 1.9:
ship agility actually tied to ship mass (including mass of mounted equipment & cargo?)
audio infocards (for pilot logs in wrecks, and other special uses)
complete base hailing audio scripts for CF bases("Freelancer 1-1, this is Octo Station..."); currently these audio tracks are muted for the base ID.
missions vs. alien factions
new equipment for capital ships (thrusters, turrets?)
mountable Bussrd collectors to enable freighters to mine gases.
I'll probably think of a few more once we've had a chance to grasp the scope of 1.8...

I dont know if it would be possible, but it would be great if the voice dialoge were related to the ship licenses, something like: "This is station X to "Police"/"Pirate"/"Trader" apha 123..."

Now that i think, double license would be i in 1.8...well i guess if its possible in any way, OP would figure a "way around" to solve it.
Also like i said, im with CA in the mining thing...dont know how to improve it...but there must be a way, i heard its allready in other mods.
sure there is a way to improve mining... if its really requested i can work on it
the licence - voice combination might not be possible... but on the other side i have not done any tries yet
(i dont have much experience with that voice stuff at all)
