Yeah i was considering in the near future splitting two Full HD 4.3 LED projectors into a super huge wide screen and thought the extra processing
power might benefit with smooth playback plus that AMD 8 core cpu, they just started listing 4/4.5GHz for $275 its quite a bargain

So freelancer works on win7 64bit? thats good, iv been looking at a range of new parts and was thinking of overkilling a micro atx case lol i shoved
two RC hoverfans in my ps2 slim before i busted it with a chip and then i shoved four of them "or maybe 6?" in my 360 lool! took them out because
it was as loud as a hoover and couldn't hear the game itself. anyway, i'll list the parts im thinking about, if you think it might cause conflict with Freelancer
please let me know.

Its been years since chch earth quake killed my PC, "RIP" right now i have a samsung ultrabook 64bit intel HD 4000 With *%#$%#$#!!!!! (windows 8.1)
This seems to work well with freelancer with a nocd exe or with the more "Basic" mods but anything more complicated and im asking for a failed launch,
For crying out loud even C&C tiberum sun which was pretty rugged for pc specs wouldn't launch! So.... i want to know the best PC build for Freelancer, like so i can
Play these classic but on steroids if you know what i mean ;p or parts that haven't clashed with it it also doesn't have to be new parts but if you have a setup that does
please tell us as this might help others having the same issues Also, Does 3G/4G data connection work well online for freelancer? thats the connection i use now,
Noticed last time my 56k modem was a bit..... slow on the servers lol Also, if you know, whats the data usage for one hour on FL sever? 3G/4G still cost quite a bit here
in NZ $20=1G $50=3G $99=12G that from the cheaper provider lol

Well anyway i don't know if you were going to do any idea hunting just yet but here's a few anyway.

If ya tried FL Explorer you'll know how simple it is to pick things up and to stuff it too lol
Well here's to ideas i did way back in 2007 there hard to make but a extremely fun if you
get them to work.

Super Awesome Warzone!
Start by laying a debris field, layer it to make it thicker
Than add some dead ships and some broken stuff randomly.
Add a nebula fog thing in ether Aqua or gray.
don't forget to add the particles, debris is great.
And add lots of enemys that want to kill each other
make sure you add a high npc count and short spawn time.
Just remember a dense field is best! also a dam good
self defense flying coarse lol

But it can get a few bugs like something you add is not there
or none if not some enemys show up, Good senseless fun if it
all works.

This one has the highest of getting bugs, ether none or lots
this one come down to luck but is extremely rewarding if you
get one to work.

Super Awesome Exploding/Exploded Planet?
First get reasonably big map.
Put the biggest sun smack in the center. White or Yellow.
Put some gigantic chunks of rock around the Sun.
Put a small asteroid field around the sun thats slightly bigger
in distance between the gigantic rock chunks, Make sure that
there the biggest asteroids in the list.
Now add another asteroid field bigger than the first one.
(The asteroids have to be different)
Repeat that 2 to 3 more times.
It should look like a target board.
Now we add the nebula's, We do the same as we did with the asteroids
but we minus a ring at the edge leaving a field uncovered, aside from
that we colour it like this (Yellow, Orange, Red, Brown, Grey, etc)
As with particles Any colour you like as long as it slightly different
from the pattern above.
Set how you want your enemys to do and your done!
EDIT: just remembered you need to add an extremely bright light source in the center.

Just remember that about 70% of the time you'll make one that wont
go or so i found out lol if ya lucky is great fun just flying to the center
of this thing. Like lots of people say about FL Explorer, LOTS of bakups!
You can brake a mod your making quite easy with the tool, mainly fields
ironically lol

the speed drop below 00.1b a sec (the telephone company couldn't fix it) the landlord sucks also,
and had no internet for about a year, then mobile came out but EARTHQUAKE! no i mean EARTHQUAKES!
hit and messed up the telecommunications networks here in CHCH well there sort of fixed now.
So? How have you all been?

you need ideas on cloaking! why not ask the creator of 88flak for some ideas?
his mod has a great system for that:D i dont think he'll mind on giving a few ideas?

A GOD like mod which is a little rough around the edges atm lol

i love the ships in colisen? space the detail is far beyond incredible
but the battleship view could be pulled back a little in turret view.

other than that, its awesome![thumb]

i think this might be a bug,

when flying away from that secret star warp thing in sol,
it'll crash to desktop.

What i think that causes this is view the distance with the improved graphics.
lowering the view setting can help most times.

and almost all jump holes in omicron gamma? i think? (corsair's main HQ) are gliched ....omaga41? lol

Just remembered, not really a bug just a lag prob.
when engaging battleships and fighters in large quantities
like (SP mission)when you fly over a Rhyland fleet in a
cloud. the battledust builds up but doesn't degrade and it
starts to lag.
an ajustment to how long the debris stays might fix this

Hello everyone! its been some time since i was last here:D
wow! swat has a new look! every month i come here something
is always different lol so... hows everyone anything new!

Oh yeah just remembered! OP what do you think of this for
Freelancer?

You know how everyone wanted to see moving parts on ships (except guns and so)
but couldn't be done unless we had access to the source code, i know a way around that!

Well its practically manipulating the hard-point system.
an example is mounting the cockpit on a hard-point in the middle of the ship,
like how you mount a trailer on a truck then you need to limit how much it
can move and how fast it can move,

this will give a natural engine sway unlike some other attempts.

now that that's said, what about ship customization?
i think people have try'd this and have failed many times
but there's also a way and very possible without the source code!
like i said above, its hard-point manipulation, ill tell ya what
sprung the idea fist.

One day for some reason i mounted station turrets on that starflyer thing
and saw that the frames of the turrets were clashing, so i flew it and
what ya know! they weren't conflicting! lol looked funny as hell though!

so how do ya make your ship unique? depending on what the ship is allowed
to change, lets say that the wing things can be taken off:) there mounted like
hard-points(like the countermeasure/mine slot) we choose a wing we like, don't forget
the other wing! and we mount em like a standard weapon. this way you can change the looks
on both sides of the ship and have something of... uniqueness to it.

now what about mounting weapons to it? also possible!!!!
like i said before about how the station guns not conflicting with each other,
you need to make some internal frame (nothing spectacular) to mount the hard-points
on, then you mount the wing thing on it and the hard-points should appear on the wing!

more things i do remember is there were lucky combos
that use machine guns (Round up) and gigantic knuckle
dusters (Hammer time) i think its called? havent played it
for about 6 years
