There's nothing wrong with a long wait. The scale of the update appears to be rather immense, and all factors considered this sort of time frame is to be expected. Many mods out there that take years to update... some are abandoned but many of those that are carried through with prove to be superb. Open singleplayer functionality certainly isn't going to be a priotity, and for good reason, but I look forwards to giving it a spin all the same when 1.8 comes out. Hours are a lot harder to come by than they used to be, and for some reason I have this uncanny urge to play Crossfire solo for awhile. After so long on servers maybe a fellow gets burnt out... dunno. All the same, it'd be grand to lurk silently in Utopia, prowl about Altair in those retextured ships I heard about, and explore the new features. You've been working on this for a long time, OP, and I hope it turns out to be everything you want it to be.

Well i`m playing in CF for 3 years. It was funny to pass tru 1.56 to 1.8. We are all waiting a good mod, so when it comes out in February we will be fine. Till then keep it quiet, and recruit new ppl to CF ;]
