the SL ships will stay in CF
im just asking because i might replace other ships with better looking versions -
OK Op, I just said which ships I don't like cause you asked I'd personaly prefer none ships to be removed, because there might be people who'd like some of them and I am quite sure there are people who like some of these models.

Bullpups (all 3 of them - especially Mk3) -- they don't fit and mk3 is just plain ugly (especially with the green monkey face on it's behind)

Mostly the ships that are alien designs (Hydra, Starskipper, etc.), and ships that are really ugly (King Tiger, Devastator, Serafina, Devil Ray, Nexus, Scourge, Shifter, V-Fighter, etc.). Some of the remaining ships could be modified to have the unique funtions of the deleted ships, like dual-CM-launchers (from the Serafina) for instance. The list is pretty long, so I'll have to do some research to be more precise...

I'll suggest to erase/replace all ships that are never/no more been used by players. Most vanilla ships are no more used, is it necessary to keep them all ? Idem for some weapons we never use anymore.

better suggestion -- encourage players to use them. I, for example, use the Red Eagle (almost vanilla) and 2 vanilla weapons (+ no missiles) so ...
What we need is Vanilla-like weapon specialization -- a shieldbuster (tizona in vanilla), a low-power gun w/ uber refire rate, a slow and slow-refiring Cannonlike thing etc etc. Cos now atm we've got like 2 guns (PPC and DKA) everyone uses and they are almost the same (only difference is minor change in power use)

What he said. With the price of the VHFs so high, it discourages 'trying one on for size' just because it looks cool. It's not an issue for people who have been running a train for a year and a half, but for noobs and relative noobs the price tag can be a little daunting, so we try to research the 'best one' and go for that.
Plus, with so many of them burried in clan systems it can be hard to even SEE some models outside of single player. Certainly a gem like the Shroud should belong to the people who pay for the system, but maybe some of the more 'average' ships could be moved somewhere more communal, like maybe Wheel of Sirius?

Its great the variety of ships offered in CF, but its also true that after all, specially in the last months everybody use laggs, maybe tweaking some stats to make ships a bit more similar will give players the chance to take care of the "cool" or "beautifull" desing of the model, and variety will grow in CF. (wich i consider that it will be really great)

Maybe were looking at this from the wrong side .... find the best ships .. or the most popular .. and take them out of game .. Everyone would have to hunt round for the for the next best class ..
