Inner Core Expedition #2570 - 21/12/13

Description: The scanners dropped deep inside enemy territory during the last expedition show that the enemy force is again gathering for an attack in Inner Core. A wing of scout vessels were sent in, only to be attacked multiple times during their way to Weth. Two probes were launched in the hotspots, just to reveal hundreds of ships. The largest group of enemies is currently located in Jormdar, where Savage are terrorizing passing pilots. Silver Arrows have decided it's time to move in and clear the threat, before it grows too big.


In this strike, we'll be heading with snub fighters only, because last time we learned that the enemy goes straight towards capital ships, in order to remove the command center. We can make no exceptions this time. Snub fighters only.
Staging ground is the SAOC (GMG Research Facility) in Omega-3, 1930 hours sharp.

Mission Description: The information we received from the first probes launched was crucial for the missions success, and, sadly, they were true. A massive group was forming somewhere in the fields of Jormdar, probably the strike group that would've been used in assault of Weth. We were lucky there was almost no resistance in Venn. But when Jormdar was reached, we got alot of red on our scanners. As Indicated on the neural map we received, two main staging grounds were set, the North Field and the East Field. Because we lacked some manpower at start, Commander Hasashi and Captain Drake of the LC were swift and they impacted severe damage on the enemy ships. In the coming hours, more pilots joined and the damage was done. Due the massive causalities they received, they were forced to pull out of Jormdar for the time being, leaving only Motherships, Battleships and Cruisers to deal with us. Luckily, we were already out of Jormdar when they jumped in. On the way back to Weth, several probes were dispatched for further assistance in Inner Core.


The SAOC informed the SA Pilots of the side mission, searching Ryssk for enemy forces, mainly around Planet Pichon, which was going to be used as a supply base for the project Far Reach. 27 probes were fired on the planet in order to get a detailed map surface, underground networks, all the materials, atmosphere and enemy forces. The probes are streaming data towards the SA Command Center in Weth, which will be moved to Omega-3 for further examination.


The expedition was a great success, with minimum losses. All the weapons collected in Inner Core will be deposited and moved to Sirius, where they will be donated to a certain person in need.
