Quoteif there is going to be a cloaking device there should also be an anti-claoking weapon/device. Like a CruiseDisruptor but then a CloakDisruptor. Some could think a CloakDisruptor would make de CloakDevice superfluous, but if you make the turn rate about 6.00 / 7.00 you have the shoot in the direction of the ship which you dont always know
If the cloak actually hides the ship, then what would you shoot at? What would the missile use as a trigger for detonation? It would have nothing to track, unless the pilot was lucky enough to shoot it in the right direction just as the cloak time runs out, in which case, it would be unnecessary...
It would be intersesting if the cloak could be "solar-powered", so that it does not drain so much energy when in a well-lit system, but would require dedicated energy in a dark system. The cloak would have to work harder in the brighter system anyway, so it seems a logical approach. As an engineer, this seems an elegant solution, but since I'm not a modder, I can only imagine that the coding would be problematic.
