if you are banning trade in ny to those over lvl 60, then can you ban piracy in X3043? or ban military movements in NL? how about banning policing from Magellan? just a thought on fairness! i know that affects us all in varrying degrees. its mainly a restriction on those with trading RP. All to cut down on the ppl who hide there?

Great idea CA, and spot on m8, the traders of CF would like to see something along the lines of dockable stations, and it would help offset losing 2 more planets to trade from.

I would appreciate it very much, when at least some stations would be dockable for Trains.
As pointed out by Dopple, the current change in NY results in a loss of 2 Planets for Traders.
From my Clan's point of view, Sidewinder station dockable for bigger ships would be a dream

but i think that if OP manages to do it so, we will get many UBER-routes so that some comodities will have to be replaced or moved to somewhere else

i ignored these discussions for a long time now because in my eyes there is nothing to discuss
but now i will make my point 100% clear

1. I did announce what i will do with NY if the shit there doesnt stop 3 weeks ago
you guys did discuss about it all the time with 0 outcome which prove me right with the decision i have done

2. it was said that i was in NY aswell with a lvl67 char (my admin char)... well my admin char is lvl55 and i dont really have high lvl chars so open ur eyes next time

3. if i say that something will happen then it really will happen... i dont make jokes about such things

4. if i tell ppl to leave NY then this is an admin decision which is final -> no need to discuss about it

5. you start to cry here but what you forget is that CF is much more than just NY and those traders which cry coz they think that they cant trade anymore -> then go to vanilla FL and try ur luck there (then u will see how hard it is to earn money there)

6. the problem with you guys is that as soon i give something to you you want more... and if i take it away from you you make me responsible for it
if that is how things are running here then i better do another decision and never give anything to you again

7. it is surprising that those ppl with the most rights on the server cry loudest

8. its a shame that there are ppl which make others responsible for all this no matter if its true or not
I for one will not make the pirates responsible for anything coz they were not the only ones

12. I will not add more mooring fixtures to CF just because you want it (and i already said this a few weeks ago)

13. Reasons for my decision:

- Traders do the NY traderuns because they are save there and pirates cant do their RP in NY -> this is against the idea of the server RP
(and the fact that the pirates start to attack ppl in NY when the pvp restriction was gone does simply prove it)

- pirates hide in NY to escape the police clans -> this is against the idea of the server RP

- police sit in NY coz there is nothing left they can do because there is no RP at all -> this is against the idea of the server RP

- high lvl chars place store chars in NY to avoid any risks being killed with those (generally im against the idea to have store chars and dont even support the store char of BG)
clans have their own systems to place their store chars there and if they cant defend those then its their prob

- high lvl players place show chars such as battleships infront of manhattan to create the illusion of strengh towards new players
illusions are not needed on CF... either ur clan is strong or it isnt

- clans do recruitment of new players in NY
those players dont even know how things are running on the server... they dont know the clans and they cant make correct decisions
-> result of this are clanjumpers and alot of clan internal trouble in the past

- ppl often sit in NY to do shit talk or spread word about things that did happen lately
-> new players better should see all those things with their own eyes and make their own oppinions instead of listening to others

- ppl often sit in NY to "help" noobs... support them with money, weapons, equipment and information how to bypass the "storyline"
such a support is not needed
a player on CF should be able to make money alone
a player on CF should play the FULL story line without help
a player on CF should find weapons, ships and equipment alone
if they cant do that then they are not strong enough for CF
(personally i dont even agree that clans do equip their new members with everything they want coz those ppl dont know where to find all the stuff... they dont know the CF universe... they dont have the experience that a clanmember should have - but that is just my personal oppinion and i dont have the right to judge about other clans internal policies)
one thing is sure... your "help" does lead to a memberloss on CF coz ppl get the best ship... the best weapons... the best equipment... they find the hidden systems, they find the way to altair... and they do this in just 1-2 days and get bored after that -> then they leave the server because they get bored

as you can see there are enough reasons for my decision and nothing you could say... none of your reasons is important because you only come with arguements that are for your own advantage and not for the server itself

I would have said if the new server rules have take the train option away from Manhat and Pitts - then it would be nice if OP adds 2 to replace them - but he already said thats not gonna happen

A mooring fixture in X303 would have been nice and maybe one in Wheel of Sirius - but anyhow

And Argos, I have seen a 'uber' route to Altair - but who in there right mind would attempt it?

Hang on, let me answer that question myself.

Also I should add I am all for increasing the role play on this server and I hope these changes push rp further. I hope to see more asf/csf rp and more pirate/police/smugg/merc rp too.

Also next time I go through places like Leeds, Cambridge, Kusari space - I may see someone there

I dont actually care if NY is not a "safe" place anymore. There is more and more similiar systems. I can live with this.

But the problem for me is that these rules (old and new) are on the forum. There is too many different threads about the new rules and its very complicated to follow them. Please keep all the UP TO DATE rules somewhere all together ie. the CF website rules page.

And some feedback to the OP:

You are the service supplier. Players in the CF server are your customers. You said that you have read all the discussions about this NY thing and thats great. You have listened your customers even we are not paying for the service that we are using. Some people (clan) pays but they can also get something more than a normal freelancer does.

Sometimes I reckon OP would rather not be a Service Supplier - especially considering all the agro he puts up with!!

OP has put all his work and skill into this mod, he pays large fees every year JUST so we can have fun! every1 here should respect his rules or leave the server. if u cant comply with his ways, the its no use playing here. at first i didnt like OP's ways, but ive seen that everything he does is for the better of CF, whether we like it or not. so lets all stop complaining, SHUTUP and play the game instead of whining about what desicions he has made.

I must agree with Op on all points in his post. The other systems are now well traveled. People are trading elsewhere, in just 2 days.

I have seen and been involved in multi-system protections and patrols since the pirates are out there looking for targets. I have been attacked 9 times without warning, did the attacking myself as well.

And the good thing about it, people are actually listening to the NY rule, since I did not have ONE person breaking that rule during my shift as SP.

There is so much out in CF that many of you have not found, even the long time players. So lets move on and stop the demanding.

I also agree 100% with OP. He has always looked after the good of the server before all else.

We should all be very thankful to OP. Thank You OP for all that you do for us.
