if we told everybody the answer to that question when they first start playing CF it would be no fun finding it. follow the story line and you will find the way to altair.

Highly unlikely that they will be ready if someone tells them how to get there. but with gaming experience and finding it themsleves using the storyline i think they will be far better prepared. with more CF experience and better ships and weps they will have a better chance of survival in Altair rather than tagging along with a more experienced player who knows what to expect.

I totaly agree with you mate.

I've got the same problem as seanstakes i can't find the altair and other systems though i've completed the storyline.
i've found the X-3043 system and explored plainly the all the jumpholes there but neber found jumpgates to altair or sol.
So please could someone send me a pm (to avoid spoilers) with the way to at least one of these systems.

for the record i'm flying a seething fury whit nomad blasters and mkII guardians so i think i've got enough fire power

Follow the storyline. Collect the datadisks, and you will find the coordinates. Explore Death Valley.

Heh. Guess my first post wasn't quite necessary. Did a search of the entire sector it's in, but found it. Thought either I was tripping or my monitor was breaking, but I found it.

well in the CF database there is a coordinate of a jump hole to altair but that jump hole takes you to a Nomad system. is that the altair sector??

Altair is made up of nomad and dom kavash systems, the only humans there are the coalition

Altair is like Sirus not only one system, you will find a couple of Systems in Altair like Doppleganger said before...

May Somebody tell me since when the solar system is located in sirus?

Did the Dk´s do that after leaving their home systems - or the nomads when they blew up the main planet in X3043?

Sol is its own sector, thus the jump from Hyperion to Pluto is a Warp Anomaly and the Sol to Styx jump is a Dimensional Rift.
