To everyone who gathered information for the CF database, we need to do it again.
I have not seen or heard from Blade in months and he gathered everyones work initially.
I am going to find the requirements from before and post what info we need.
Only serious volunteers need apply to explore systems for data.
So Post here if you truly want to help and do the job right.

blade has left FL altogether...and havent seen him online in 6 weeks
I'm already underway Gunny, got the X-3440 system ships at 87%...only need to log down three more systems then it's off to the other systems such as Sea of Shadows.
Normal Freelancer databases we can gather from Lancers....they damn near got it to the grain.
If you sent an email to him he will reply sooner or later. Maybe, we could ask him to sent all the info given to him which was a lot. The format he sent us to fill was pretty good and would make the work easier to anyone taking over. So my suggestion is to contact him and ask for all that info so we dont have to start from scratch. Maybe one of the DC member could talk to him on msn or send him an email.
Otherwise, we could start from scratch and basicly what is needed is to check sector by a sector, take a picture of the map with sector complete exploration and fill up a form with all detail about the station, docking planet, etc on that sector. We could still use blade *.txt form for that purpose.

Ok I have located the original text formats we used with Blade.
Please send me a PM with your email addy so I can send you the form.
What I need right now, is for those who responded to list the systems they can do.
Make sure you check each others posts, to make sure we do not do the same systems twice.
Jtak, I am assuming the lead on the data gathering so we have one central point.
If you want to start putting all the information into the format we used before, the help is welcome.
Send me a PM with your email and I will send the example forms and the blank text forms for all to use.

Unfortunately i can't say no, I'm afraid i won't be back to the server, atleast not for long time.
I miss all my friends there, but live and business have to be in first place.
I'm glad you want to take over those projects because i respect you for the work you allready finished on the database.
I'll provide you with the allready finished systems if you want to, You'll probably do it in your own way so i don't know if those files can help but don't hesitate to ask me for them.

Ok i contacted with Blade and i got the database that you guys created. Right now i'm lowering its size and trying to change the look becouse its in txt files. It will be ready soon.

Well no changes over the txt files i only sorted all files in their own folders and removed all bmp's with gif version of the pictures.
Sorry for my absence, my duties here in the States have me unexpectedly busy.
Jtak, go ahead and post what you need to get the database done here and the systems you need.
People who VOLUNTEER to goto those systems and collect the data needed, post here what systems you are going to take.
Do not take so many, that you cannot get this done in a timely fashion and also to maintain accuracy.
Send a copy of the information to Me and Jtak so we have 2 copies in case information is lost.
Jtak and I will then compare the information to make sure everything is there.
We will then submit the info to OP and he will let us know where to go from there.

Requirements
What we need are volunteers to map the Outstanding systems.
The process is quite simple. We have a template into which information about the system, its Bases, Jump Holes/Gates and its wrecks are entered. This along with a screen shot of the system should be sent to either myself, or Gunny, we will do the rest.
If you are both willing and able to spend the time, please send me an email at PiA_JtaK@hotmail.co.uk, tell me what systems from the list above you are able to map, and I send you a confirmation plus full templates and further details. Once completed please return them to me.
I will then send copies to Gunny, so we can both check, and once we have done this, I will send you another confirmation, so that you may see if there are systems with which you can help.
Issues
You will notice from the above list, that there are few of the Crossfire systems, and none of the Sol or Altair. It was never made clear at the outset of this project, if those systems were to be included. It is up to Op and the community to decide. I await your comments
