Trade Lane Tag ( TEST EVENT )

  • I have come up with a new event, or probably an old event/"unused in ages" event but just let me know your feedback so I can put this idea to light...


    There will be 3 or more players, One is the Tagger, the others are the runners. They must use Trade Lanes as "getaways" or to run, They must not travel 10K out of the way of Trade Lane, any over 10K will be disqualified or have lost 1M in prize money. You cant use Jump Gates unless told otherwise in "the Trade Lane Tag mega-event". The Taggers can disrupt TL to catch up to the Runner. A twist: The runner must NOT kill the Tagger in any way, shape, or form. Not even to defend. The most best places to host this event is in Honshu, Tokyo, London, or Berlin. New York would've been ok, but its a nuetral system so :(


    And now Requirements :)


    Taggers and Runners must have Light Fighters/ Heavy Fighters/ Very Heavy FIghters.
    Winner is the player with the least amount of time in how many minutes the Event goes for. IE:
    1st: Dr_Dredd= 1.37
    2nd: Whiskey Thief= 4.87
    3rd: LordRaydenMK= 16.89


    Prizes:
    1st: 40M
    2nd: 30M
    3rd: 20M
    Participation prize: 15M


    This test event will be hosted by I, but I will need Volunteers, 3 or more would be perfect. Please PM or announce in Comments here or Upcoming events if you would like to try :)

  • Frankly, i'm a bit stupid in understanding complex sentences and something new ... so, it is to say that, i dont understand the event btw... hehehe ...

  • laugh-squared A tagger is the one who shoots people and then they are it they are required to shoot other people, the player with the least amount of time as the tagger wins, example:


    LordRaydenMK tags 2 different chars 6 times and has spent 13 minutes all up as the tagger
    Dr_Dredd tagged 5 different people and has stayed 7 times as the tagger all up as the tagger


    It is more easier to explain when in-game ;)

    This is what I find also when I checked "tagger" at google.
    But I never saw graffitis on any trade lane in CF :D

  • This is is a nice idea, similar to the smuggler hunt, just that one is more like the "the Trade Lane Tag mega-event" as that event goes over several systems in a trade route, including jumpholes, but still have to catch (the hunters aka taggers) and the smuggler to run (aka Runner).


    Limiting players to Trade Lanes is the nice part, but going out of 10Km should be straight disqualified, at least on 2nd warn to avoid accidents. If it's just 1M pentalty, people WILL leave 10Km area sacrificing 1M or more, just to win :D


    You would have to be a supervisor of the Runners yourself, by putting all runners in your Team and constantly observing their location on the system map so that they dont go out of 10Km TL Range.


    Unless there are at least 2 runners, this event will just be a Hide and seek one. I would find a spot near the edge and sit at 10Km of it. Which is why I think range could be 5Km instead of 10Km when there are not enough players, to make things easier, not a "Find the needle in the hay stack" one :D


    One problem with the rules: Is cloacking allowed ? :D For Taggers? Runners?

    The runners teaming will be hard as for me: I can normally only see one Runner at once in the one system. So I will probably need Spectators to help out with this :) And about the Penalty: It'd be better like this. 1st penalty=Warning, 2nd penalty=1M lost, 3rd penalty=2.5M, 4th penalty= Disqualified.


    Cloaking is permitted for only the Taggers, to have the Element of Surprise. I still stand by the fact that Runners cannot attack the Taggers, but may cripple or "lethally injure" ;) If a Tagger mysteriously dies, I will need a full honest answer of what happened, how they died, and by who killed them. Killing of a Tagger follows the consequences on the Paragraph above. Remember: Lethally injuring does not mean KILL them! :)


    I will also need trustworthy taggers :)



    Just a note of Wanderers claim,


    Lets just say, I am the Tagger, the one who kills the Runners in order to be a runner, and the person the Tagger killed a tagger. See if I managed to stay a tagger on one round, I will add it up until another round is where I am a tagger, so I might have been in 3 times but still had the lowest time combined out of everyone

    You mean I can kill 3 taggers and only lose 3.5M from 40M ? Which means auto win for all runners as I doubt there will be more than 3 taggers :D Killing one has no consequences so every (pirate style) runner will make sure to kill their first tagger encountered.

  • I will try to as well, but I still have big /ping loss issues which can cause me and people to visually bug or appear in diff places or such, so idk if I can. Last time I got attacked and killed by a player who on my radar I left behind past a whole tradelane. So idk :)
