Today, super-mega tech giant Mango released their newest multi-purpose device, the Personal Atomizer Launch System. The PALS, as Mango-cultists commonly refer to the device, is a handheld device in which the user can make an object break down to a molecular level for easy transport. One user, who is a self-employed Merchant, says the device is "Perfect for anyone needing to move an otherwise costly service." First Day sales were record high as it surpassed $723 billion at the end of the Day. While Focks Industries is somewhat lacking in decent portable MPDs (multi-purpose devices), FI Founder Cantana Focks released a statement saying "Our primary business is Commodity and Stock. Though our business ventures with Mango are still strong, we are looking to invest more resources into a new R&D division." When asked about what sort of products they were thinking of, Mr. Focks declined to comment.

In Sports news, The New London Ligers dominated the Kyushu Kotton Rabits in BattleBall 24-14. The Ligers will move into the next Round of the Stuttgart Open where they face the current Rheinland Champions Dresden Reapers in the Semi Finals. The winner of this Open will go to Compete in the Sector wide Tournament, the Sirius Champion Royale. The Royale began in 363 AS as a small competition between Cambridge University and longtime rival University of New Tokyo. Since then, the sport has evolved into the most watched sport since Football of the 21st Century AD.

Today Deep Space Engineering's Regional Office on Planet Leeds experienced a fire that broke out on the 45th floor. The Cause of the blaze, while still unknown, caused moderate damage. According to local public servants, the fire had been burning for 23 Minutes before the windows on the 45th Floor burst due to the pressure built up inside. 2 People were mildly injured and thankfully, no one was killed. DSE has yet to release a statement

With the untimely pulled plug of Focks Industries security and information technology departments, FI has found itself in a financial renassaince. The Sirius Stock Exchange and Altair Index closed yesterday at a record high. SNN Financial Analysts are still confirming the numbers for accuracy. The final numbers will be released on the extranet at 1700 Standard

The 62nd Sirius Police Convention on Planet Curacao came to a halt yesterday as Crossfire Police Department Officers and Independent Operators Consortium traded gunfire. CFPD Officers were called to the planets surface when they had been tipped off an IOC Operative was impersonating the CFPD Representitive at the Convention. When they went to arrest the felon on the the imposter opened fired with a handgun at the officers. the ensuing battle lasted 13 Minutes. The Imposter, who's name is not being released, was killed after Silver Arrows Special Weapons and Tactics were requested by Orbital Spa and Cruise officials. 2 people were caught in the cross fire and but only received minor injuries.

The Dresden Repears fell short to the New London Ligers in the Semi final round of the Stuttgart Open. Star forward John Frenel helped lead the team to a 24-23 overtime win with an impressive display of athleticism during overtime. The Reapers Head Coach Luke Monikis announced his retirement after the close Battleball match. "It's not that I lost and i'm deciding to give up, I've just figured it was time to give my capable Assisstant coach Charlie Treom a chance to shine. This team has not only made me very rich and comfortable to retire, but changed my entire outlook on life. I will be pursuing my long time goals of Image Consulting for corporations on a part time basis." During his 13 year tenure, Coach Monikis lead the Reapers to 4 Rheinland Tournament wins, 2 Liberty Invitationals and came in Second at last years Sirius Champion Royale. I want to first apologize for the update missing from yesterday. A Fleet of Lost Prophet Ships lay siege to our Headquarters...well actually the entire planet of Denver...and the local authorities wanted everyone indoors until they leave. I was unable to access network resources and could not provide an update. And now for the News...

Yesterday, a Fleet of Lost Prophet Ships surrounded and lay siege to Planet Denver. the 24 hour standoff came to an end when Liberty dreadnought LDN Legacy and her fighter wing was dispatched to the area. While the Lost Prophets are still at large, the people of Planet Denver are now safe and the alert level has been lowered to green.

A fatal design flaw in tech super giant Mango's newly released Personal Atomizer Launch System was found when a consumer was shot and killed while eating a homeless mans face. Mango, barraged with a flurry of complaints, are working on the problem and is requiring a mandatory recall of all PALS devices. Citizens across the Sirius and Altair sector's are scrambling to acquire food, medical supplies and weapons to what people are calling "The Zombie Apocalypse." A zombies another name for a human who has died and come back to life with all but the utmost primitive parts of the brain not functional and wanders the world looking for the flesh of the living. Mango stated that the cause of the sudden aggressive cannibalism is still unknown, but may have to do with the very small amount of radioactive substances in the device. SNN Analysts smell a lawsuit.

New London Liger Forward Stewart Grant tested positive for Anabolic Steroids yesterday. The Battleball Commission has announced that Mr. Grant is being placed on an Indefinite leave due to the positive drug results. Liger Head Coach Bob Stanton said in a press statement that he was unaware that Stewart was "juicing" and that none of his other players are taking 'roids. The Ligers may not have enough decent manpower to compete in the Sirius Champion Royale, which begins later this month. The Team will decide whether or not to compete anyway.

The Sirius Champion Royale is scheduled to start Friday. All league champions in the sector are going to duke it out for the title of Grand Battleball Champion. You can catch it on the Neural Net Sports Channel 215 at 1900 Sirius Standard Time. Check your local listings for the time in your area.

This is Kent Rolphana returning from his holiday vacation on Planet Baden Baden.

Today, a group of mercenaries, rumored to be under the employ of the Silver Arrows, stopped a Soulforge Train making a standard run from Edinbrugh to Stuttgart. When the mercenaries declared that this Train was marked for a targeted killing the group open fired on the transport. Law Enforcement officials from The Crossfire Police Department were a short trade lane jump away and responded to the distress call. Hostilities abruptly ceased when the officers arrived. When Chief of Police Gunny questioned the mercenaries, they claimed that the transport was carrying Bretonian Armed Forces classified documents and Bretonian Royal Family Heirlooms which were reported stolen earlier this week.. The Trader claimed these accusations false, however a later ship scan revealed the transport was indeed carrying such packages. Crossfire PD Officials apprehended the trader and brought him back to Planet New London to face trial. Pretrial hearings are scheduled to commence this Monday.

In other news, The Sirius Champion Royale came to a close yesterday as Liberty Battleball champion, Manhattan Fury, took the Royale by storm. In the 8-team tournament bracket, the Fury won the preliminary and semi-final rounds with shut-out victories over the New Tokyo Samurai and a new contestant who has never competed in the Sirius Champion Royale, Sovetskaya Reds. In the final Match, The Fury and New London Ligers battled it out in a spectacular display of physical prowess and athleticism. Both Teams managed to send the match in double Overtime. However, one team managed to limp bloodied and battered to claim the title of Sirius Battleball Champion. Congratulations to the Manhattan Fury. You earned it guys.

Looking over at the world of Business, Focks Industries announced a business contract has been made with the Crossfire Police Department. CEO Cantana Focks and Chief of Police Gunny [Last name held for privacy concerns] reached an agreement. Focks Industries will provide 25% of its weapons stocks to CFPD as well as an contribution of $40 Million Credits to help renovate CFPD Headquarters in the Tarsus System. Also, Defense agreements have been established between the Mega-Corp and Police department.

Pharmaceutical researchers at the University of Cambridge have come under recent activist and political crossfire when one scientist Dr. Connor MacBrigden found out his son was a Cardamine user. Space Race season is gearing up and the Galaxy-Cup Circuit is scheduled to start it's 6-week qualifying rounds to see who will go to compete in the season's opening tournament. This year, the Galaxy-Cup is planning its first ever "Endurance Race." Fans and critics alike will be keeping a close eye on Space Race Cup as they do any league who decides to start an "endurance race." History has seen many of these races fail, either at the planning stages or during the event as racer saftey precautions have not been high enough. Events fail due to poorly-surveyed space hazards, Human interference such as pirates and warring factions and occasionally from forces that aren't human. The Galaxy-Cup has talked about asking for military and private contractor aid in these matters. A Statement released by a Galaxy-Cup representative said "Freelancers, Military and Private Security representatives are urged contact the Galaxy-Cup Office. The route takes racers through regions of space in which secret-weapons testers and adrenaline junkies alike will enjoy keeping our racers safe in the most hostile regions known: The Inner Core. Details of the route will be released once the Qualifying Races have reached 66% completion.

A Press Conference held by Bretonian Prime Minister Leeroy Yankenfer came to a shocking and sudden close the other day when Xeno Terrorists assaulted the conference, which was being held at a public park in Downtown Yorkshire, Planet Leeds. Xeno Insurgents swooped into the park seemingly out of no where and no warning to the Bretonian security detail at the conference with heavy fighters. the fighters dropped off foot soldiers and proceeded to take hostages. Prime Minister Yankenfer happen to be one of those hostages and seemed to be the Xeno Insurgents primary targets. Crossfire Police Department officers were dispatched to aid the Bretonian search for Yankenfer. Queen Guenevere Golishna, Queen Monarch of Bretonia, formally requested the aid of the Liberty Navy for the search of Prime Minister Yankenfer. A Naval Spokesperson had this to say

Recent Xeno Attacks on shipping routes throughout Bretonia as well as attacks on military patrols have greatly slowed the search for the Prime Minister as well as economic growth throughout the sector

The Galaxy-Cup has started it's 6-week qualifying rounds to see who will compete in the seasons opening tournament: an endurance race through the Inner Core. The Qualifying rounds are taking place in the hostile enviroment of Omicron Theta and the Lower Unknown system starting at Freeport 9, making a circuit through the Lower Unknown system and returning to Freeport 9. The top 20 racers (out of thousands this years) will go on to race in the Galaxy Cup. The League is taking huge precautions for racer safty in both the qualifying rounds and the race itself. They have called upon The Silver Arrow, Crossfire Police Department and the Reinland Military to aid in a perimeter defense of both race courses. Silver Arrows Commander Martind Forlon has agreed and Crossfire Police Chief Gunny has not yet given a response. The Reinland Military has dispatched it's smaller Biltz Fleet to the area where RNS Volkensphere, A Class 5 Battleship and a full contingent of fighters are expected to arrive later this week. Galaxy-Cup Officials have also asked Silver Arrow Command in determining the best route for racers while maintaining saftey and thrill for both racers and spectators.

Rumors have been circulating in the Business District of Planet Denver, where HQ of Focks Industries is located along with a major Sirius Stock Exchange hub. Among these rumors is that Focks Industries secretly collaborated with it's business competitor Mango in Mango's release of it's PALS system. The PALS system became well known when a man a while back had used one PALS device shortly before being shot and killed due to sudden violent and aggressive behavior. The Network won't let me say what behavior due to it's extremely graphic nature, but you can always look on the Sirius Network News Extranet for more details. When asked about the rumors, Focks Industries denied any collaboration. An FI Spokesperson had this to say:

More Xeno Attacks in Bretonian space as the local terrorist organization has now targeted Bretonian infrastructure targeting government buildings on Leeds, New London and Cambridge as well as military outposts in Dublin, New London and Cambridge. Deputy Prime Minister Keith Robinson has this to say:

Meanwhile, domestic activists have been vocal about the use of certain refined variants of H-Fuel on Planet Manhattan, Planet Pittsburgh and Plant Los Angeles. The variant of H-Fuel 152, commonly used in commercial trade vessels and other large ships that require the Oxygen-infused H-Fuel variant. Refined by the Hoji Oil Company based out of Hokkaido, it has been linked to heavy and very toxic emissions. When large vessels enter the atmosphere, these emissions leak into the atmosphere and get spread across the planet in a haze of dark brown ash. Several deaths have been linked due to long term exposure of H-Fuel 152. Libertarian Activists have started a petition to start regulating exposure, come up with mandatory guidelines for employees who work in high H-Fuel 152 Emissions areas, such as shipping docks and Port of Entry stations and hopefully (as quoted by the petition) "Stimulate research of a less toxic version of H-Fuel to be used by Commercial vessels"

The Galaxy-Cup is gearing up, Race fans. The Official Race is to start on Wednesday as the qualifying rounds were completed last saturday. 20 Racers from all over the Sirius and Altair sector will gather at the GMG Hypergate in Omega 3. Silver Arrows and GMG have allowed a 2-hour window for the Galaxy-Cup to enter the system and use their facilities. Reinland Military, Crossfire Police Department, Silver Arrows and security Contractors from Focks Industries have gone through the gate and have reported contact with hostilve forces in The Inner Core. Their Mission is to keep the race path clear of hostiles forces. The race, named The Inner Core Challenge, will begin in Omega-3 and the first half will Conclude in Dom'Kavosh Territory. From there, they will rest, eat and prepare for Part two, which goes through more hostile territory and finally end up in Omicron Theta. The First half of The Inner Core Challenge was concluded in Dom'Kavosh territory the previous Saturday (Sirius Standard). While the Reinland Military and contractors from Silver Arrows and the Crossfire Police Department have done a fantastic job protecting the racers, they are starting to show the strains of war. A Reinland navy spokesperson has said that the "troops, while well supplied and armed, are tired. Roughly 15 pilots from the Navy and 6 contractors have been killed or are missing. There is talk between Navy Brass, Silver Arrows and CFPD Officials as to how to more efficiently utilize our pilots. After all. they're still human." The race is scheduled to continue this wednesday.

The week long civil unrest on Planet Kyushu is continuing into it's third week. Citizens have been upset at Kyushu government practices towards homeless and disabled persons as well as Kusari Navy veterans. Such practices include hire taxes on Kusari-funded welfare benefits, denials of such benefits to disabled persons and excessive aggression to homeless people from local law enforcement. The Kyushu citizens have filed petitions to remove various people from office for being mentally unfit to perform duties as required by Kyushu Doctrine. Such petitions have been ignored. No comment has been given from the Kyushu government.

A rumor released by the conspiracy theorist 'Portalearth' stated that Focks Industries was preparing to reinstate it's Security Department. While FI denies any internal memo leaks, a spokeperson for the mega-corporation that's found in every corner of Sirius and parts of Altair, had this to say:

While Mr Focks has yet to officially announce the "where's and when's" of the reactivation of our Security department, the CEO has been in contact with various beneficiaries to supply the means to hire, train and outfit a new Focks Industries Security Department. Focks Industries has spent 6.2 billion credits over the last 6 months to various security firms, information provided by the Liberty Business Transparency Act. SNN will keep you updated

The Galaxy Cup opener was concluded earlier this week. Jeremy Holwek of Planet Leeds came limping across the finish line in Omicron Theta to take the first ever Space Race Endurance Challenge. Galaxy Cup officials were extremely relieved at the end of the race. They do send condolences as well as a fat settlement check to those pilots families who were lost defending the racers with their lives. A memorial services sponsored by Focks Industries is slated later this week. The next Galaxy Cup race, the Bretonia 200 Open will begin their Qualifying rounds in the next couple weeks

Xeno Attacks have continued to prove unrelenting in Bretonian space. The most recent attack on The Cardiff Mining Facility has impacted severely on the Bretonian economy now that they can no longer export the resources the facility refines. The alloy's which Cardiff exports is one of Bretonia's largest cash crops next to food from Planet Cambridge. SNN Analysts project Bretonia will not be able to sustain their economy for much longer and the collapse is surely imminent. Deputy Prime Minister Dave Robinson is delegating with Reinland Ambassadors in order to work on a bailout for their economy as well as military support to combat the Xeno threat. SNN will keep you up to date on these developments.

With the continued disappearance of Prime Minister Leeroy Yankenfer, who was kidnapped by Xeno Terrorists 3 months ago, Bretonian Parliament is proceeding with the necessary steps to name Deputy Prime Minister Dave Robinson as the new political leader of Bretonia. Robinson had this to say

Earlier, several prison ships were spotted around Sirius and Altair. Fleet Admiral Martind Forlorn of the Silver Arrows was the one of the first of the Police Alliance organizations (even though they are a known Mercenary para-military group) to publicly announce a galactic need for Prison Ships as many stationary prisons are overcrowded. Fleet Admiral Forlorn has granted an Exclusive Interview with myself.

Kent Rolphana- Question 1: Approximately how long ago was the prison ship at Sidewinder Station, Alaska System spotted?
Fleet Admiral Forlorn: There was today more as one prison ship and more as one time.
Kent: What led you to believe the other houses in the sector, as well as Altair, needed more prison ships as There was no formal statement made
by any official of these governments?
Forlorn: Some things were not done publicly. Silver Arrows was asked for
help. We have no further comments at this time
Kent: Do you foresee a huge spike in crime in the coming weeks?
Forlorn: Criminal activity is rising from day to day, not only pirating but
smuggling too. It's hard to predict if this commissioning process speed will grow
exponentially, but yes, there is good chance crime will increase further.
Kent: By the statistics provided by an inter-house database, hosted by Focks Industries, the numbers show that the only prisons in the sector and Altair that are currently overpopulated are Hunstville in Liberty and Vierlande in Rheinland, last updated 8 hours ago. Huntsville transfers the overflow to Sugarland and Vierlande just expedites sentences to make room for more inmates, same with Sugarland. Wouldn't building more prison complexes in both space and on terrestrial surfaces be more secure?
Forlorn: Build new prison parts or repair old need time, and governments can't send criminals on vacation during that time ... they are also unwilling to give out details about this.
Kent:Lets say the Houses got their request fulfilled, and obtained more prison ships. What makes them any more or less secure than a traditional
prison facility?
Forlorn:This will not happen, maintaining such ships are extremely costly... this is reason why they are in special cases
asking for help from police and other independent organizations.
Kent: In my mind, the pirate factions could stage an assault on these ships to free their comrades, then scuttle the ship, thus making it more
costly to build more ships, hire and compensate the crews than to just,build more stationary facilities?
Forlorn: Prison ships are mobile, heavily armed and armored. Plus it can use smaller fighters as mobile escort. In-fact prisoners on board have a MUCH lower chance to escape or be freed by their comrades when compared with known stationary prison complexes.
