EA doing what it does best -- being a scumbag company

I will buy it, but only cuz I like mass effect, but hey, Ea are assholes. I stopped at the "From Ashes" DLC announcement. I mean what the hell? How is that possible? The addition from the DLC is almost or near impossible!

Everyone is sucking money in now... EVERYONE EVERYWHERE

If you notice even in the official news on your TV they say an add !

Seriously, many years ago, Electronic Arts in it's early days was a great company and had some really great games coming out of it's offices. Games like Pinball Construction Set, Archon, The Bard's Tale, Skate or Die, The Immortal(played this awesome game on my NES haha), The Wing Commander series, the Need for Speed series(pursuit mode is the most awesome race mode), Simcity, One on One: Dr. J vs. Larry Bird(played this on my old Atari 7800 LOL) , Command and Conquer and the list goes on... However...

Greed once again seems to have gotten the better of EA sadly and as a result, QA goes down and their corporate dividends goes up, making the leaders of this company start to care less about the people who made EA what it was and why it's hugely successful as it is now... But if things continue as they are this will quickly change, perhaps it may be for the better too I think. EA needs to get whacked back down to a more respectable size, return to it's roots and remember what it's like to be a small upstart, innovative and creative company again.

Well, EA is still doing great games.

I don't understand this. They sell their product however they want. If you don't like the way they do this then you don't buy the product. It's this easy.

If the costs will bw very expensive - just no one could buy the game.

I don't think, that they are true money-suckers. They just a company, also paying taxes. They are depend from the income. It keeps the company alive and able to creaty anything.

Consumer zombie? Why? Because they charge you +10$ for their game and I won't buy it nor I have a problem with it? You know, it's the so called liberal market, where the unadaptable products won't sell, but it seems ME3 is not like that.

Collector's edition always had an extra than normal version...

That the extra was never part of the original release, or that it was taken from the original release and added exclusively for the collector's ed, dunno... doesn't really make a difference.

Just buy the special edition directly and problem solved Enjoy the protheans.

I am with Keli in this matter. You must not buy the DLC. The game that is delivered in its release is complete playable.
If you want to have the additional stuff, buy it and be happy. If you cant or am not willed to buy then be happy with what you got.
Simple as that.

Unfortunate Software is often underestimated - the effort and time that has been put in is mostly not appreciated and people are just looking hollywood films and tend to believe program current software that runs on current and future hardware is just a klick away.
Sure they want to earn money, but they do not deliver games in a monthly cycle and somehow they have to survive as well.

Yeah, and they can keep the richer clients happy
