With the update last weekend ive drastically raised the view distance on solar objects.
Question would be now after one week "how is the performance?"
are there changes?
graphical lag?
anything which got worse?

Nothing unusual, haven't even noticed the changes...
I'll try looking more carefully.
Saturn rings are to be re-checked though, maybe this update was the true reason. This post will be edited when it's done.
Edit: everything is fine, the rings are back when I restored the original flconfigdatabase.txt file. Thanks for doing your best in enhancing Crossfire playing experience.

Yes, that explains the new fps collapse complains of ppl while fighting in mass battle near house planet (in some situations my personal ones went down to 16). The complains about it are new.

Yes. i run two cards in SLI and my FPS has dropped dramatically in the house fights so far. I had to ramp my cards core up to 750mhz to compensate. Other issues are caused by LOS, but that's another topic.

ok, so the changes will be reversed

hi guys i dont know if this is right place .. but having trouble connecting since 5.30 ..
-
i dont think this has something to do with it
i changed nothing that would cause it and other ppl dont have problems like that -
I don't know if it is related.....but it seems the time of this change made definately more flucts in my ping and I started having graphics artifacts. I did a fresh install of CF and my graphics driver and the artifacts and white boxes went away...but the flucts seem the same (higher than I usally see) since the update? After graphic driver reload I must say that things did look better....I was wondering why I could see so much.

changes already have been reverted now
